Good Quality video: Amy giving a funny interview earlier her carreer and also performing an acoustic version of the song "I Heard Love Is Blind" live on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross on March 19th, 2004.
Yup, watch her “tribute” with Bruno mars.. she did get put on it.. and one eyed on all her images even the video at the beginning.. before she joined the 27th club, cobain n them.. so sad.. coincidence??
@@jessesmith8388 I hate to think they allowed it to happen because it would increase record sales, "No such thing as bad publicity". Terrible thought, but I wouldn't put it past record labels, I'm sure they made a fortune after she died. You also mentioned tattoo's. As a man, there is nothing less feminine or more unattractive to me than a women with tattoo's.
Funnily enough I wouldn't be that familiar with Amy Winehouse's music (except for Back to Black and Rehab) but ended up going to the movie - pretty good, I thought - the movie shows her - after being awarded a Grammy - thanking - in addition to various people - "London" - which I thought was a nice thing to say - not enough artists put the city of their birth/upbringing "up in lights" !
@@privatename3621 Lorde*?? While I agree that Lorde has her own unique sound and is a musical prodige in her own right, I would never compare the two. Amy's music, her tone, her soul draws from a different era. Her sound is so classic yet it transcends genres. I like what Lorde is able to put together in the studio, but her live vocals leave more to be desired.
Seeing Amy so vibrant and healthy in this interview breaks my heart. She was truly a rare gem with unmatched talent. Gone too soon, but never forgotten. Who else misses her every day?
She looks healthy. Her addictions were in the future. She is articulate. It's unbelievable and tragic what happened to her. Heartbreaking journey, a huge loss of a unique and brilliant talent.
@@williamhobbs7693 Yes , it' s very good to see this video , ' cause she was healthy and so beautiful . At the same time , It' s very sad thinking about her , now , after 10 years ....... I really think , about many people , they just used her , in many ways . And , this Is sad too , more than ever .
Oh my....has it been that long...... I still play her music...'we' always will.... ( If only someone cared enough ) Reminds me of Janis....left ......alone......fed to the demons within......
She was a regular person with a beautiful talent. Doesn't quite make sense to idolize someone with minimal life experience. She was young, growing just like alll young people are

One of the best female singers ever!...What a voice. No computer aided voice bollocks. Just a pure, clean, talented voice from a stunning woman taken way to soon...Sadly missed. )0(
Amy yes has a voice but Amy is white so for white woman yes you haven't heard voice like this. Jennifer Hudson, Mariah, Teena Marie, ms Franklin have great high pitch voice these are woman of color

She always had a sparkle in her eye. That sparkle died out soon. Sad what drugs and alcohol can do. Let alone bulimia. So so sad, have mad respect for Amy.
That's what both depression and addiction do. When I was younger I suffered depression, which led to addiction, and my friend described it this way: "most of the time when I see you, I get happy straight away because you're like a Christmas tree all lit, but these days it's like all your christmas lights burnt out and it just makes me sad to see you now". I ended up getting really into alcohol then drugs. Years later I cleaned up. I realized I was good again when so many things in life started making me laugh again, (and not laugh cynically). Its certainly not an easy journey though. Her story has always broken my heart, as does the avoidable death of any addict, because I know how amazing life can be again once you push through to the other side
Jenny S -- Congratulations on overcoming such a tough opponent such as drug addiction. Im 21 and for the past year and a half have been active sadly but reading posts like yours truly strengthens my hope and readiness to be able to overcome my addiction and be where you are now. Once again, congratulations.
@@alexf8314 You can overcome it, I promise. I wont lie and say it's easy, and the hardest part is actually staying off. The 1st couple years there were times I was tempted, especially if I ran into friends I used with that offered. But at the end of my using days a close friend overdosed and died, leaving a 2 year old and many broken hearts. I would think of him and walk away. The important thing to do when you stop is surround yourself with better friends and only those that dont use. I felt like a bad person at times, because I still love my other friends, but had to for my own life and health. The other thing is to do lots of things you enjoy, like travel, music etc, and it sounds strange, but excersize, whether its hiking, a gym. Dance, whatever because it releases the same feel good chemicals but in a good way. I hope you find your way out before it's too late. You deserve the better life around the corner
@@alexf8314 the other things that help are make sure there is someone you can call when tempted that will come get you, and take you to do something else or at least talk you down, where that is a sponsor, or in my case, just a good, non-judgmental friend. And the other thing is charity work. Nothing takes your mind off yourself like helping others, whether its animal rescue or with people. I started volunteering with an organization that works with children in state care, helping them with school work and also reuniting them with siblings in different foster homes. It helped me just as much as it helped them. Good luck my dear
This is soooooooo so so unfair. I was quite young when Amy was in her prime so i never got to see THIS amy at all. She looks so whole, full of life, promise and future. I can't believe it. RIP you ridiculously gifted rare jewel, there will never be another you. TIMELESS music.
***** There are many, many , many 'beautifuls'. Most of them are not pertaining to the physical attractiveness of some idealized social standard we're (sold) into. She was as beautiful as anyone...

@Pixie Dust hey you can call her trashy but I can’t say her whingey voice was terrible and I’m glad that she’s not around to be making anymore terrible songs? Hypocrite much?
Amy before the devil entered her life aka Blake entered her life. The difference between this interview and one taken 3 years later is truly mind-blowing. RIP girl ❤
This truly is Amy at her best. Beautiful, healthy and confident. She was always a rare, spectacular talent. Everyone knew she was a once in a generation artist... except her.

Real Recognise Real nah.. She didn't look well at all. She is very pretty and looks healthy in this video To bad what happened to her to cause her down fall and death
A little detail I wanted to point out was the instrument she was using: a Baby Taylor guitar--a very cheap, 3/4 scale "travel" guitar most musicians would never even consider using for a televised performance. I loved that she used such a modest little instrument. What she did as a performer never required having to hide behind anything ostentatious. Such a beautiful artist.
The sparkle in her eyes... I can't 😩 What a great loss, so sad and unfair. In this interview she was so pure, she didn't even take offence to the remarks that were provoking. RIP Amy, gone but never forgotten 🕊
Yes, Ross is such a slime bag perving over her in that dress😖 he’s horribly insensitive. I remember him being a prick to Gwen Stefani. I think her little dog had just died and he tried to make a joke about it or something. Idiot
You should listen to this girl...she is compared to Amy all the time which drives me nuts because they are both so freakin good they stand alone. Miss you Amy and welcome Angelina. ❤️ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Dv8mjCh5iiE.html
Amy was so real. I've never seen her without the wig. So beautiful. Her delivery of this song is so much like Billie Hollidy, it's eerie. What a terrible loss. RIP
Sherlock Salt Dude, I am a doctor and I know what alcohol is.. When most people talk about drugs in general, especially in Amy's case, they are referring to the illegal drugs which are grouped into Class A, B, C... Amy's postmortem reports confirm that she died because of alcohol poisoning and bulimia..
Sherlock Salt It's alright.. You weren't completely wrong.. And sorry is a big word which needs to be saved for the right person at the right place on the right time.. Don't waste your sorry on such a trivial matter.. ☺
I used to live in London right at that period and I am telling you that the interviewer is a cool comedian.. he probably didn't know she was so talented young girl but in any case the interview was perfect! I can tell from the good harmony and vibration that led Amy to that wonderful live performance 🙏
Jono Ross is one of the UKs most well known tv celebs / interviewers. Hes talked to the likes of Bowie / Madonna / Elton John / Ringo , he wouldnt be phased.
She was stunning. She was so talented... You can see how toxic relationships can kill somebody. What a loss, I'm so sad she deserved to be loved truthfully.

I've just seen the film, Back to Black. Heart-breaking, if you even dare to think what she'd be now in 2024. In this clip she uses a Baby Taylor which any guitarist will tell you does not really show you off to your best and she was still brilliant. Bless her. (Drugs are evil)
She's been the most talented singer in this field since Billie Holiday (perhaps also Ella Fitzgerald) and she died 1959 so that's a long time ago..and there are also many parallels about the way she died.
I must be the exception - yes - great voice but songs not my cup of tea. Used the money she earned from it to support organised criminals and all the misery that goes along with it.
She has such spark in her eyes... she's so beautiful. Look how excited and happy she is here. I really hope we can see this kind of magic again in music!
Only "Magic" from the musick "industry" is soul sucking, diabolical Black Magick. The more you participate and support it, the more YOU become part of the problem.
What a huge loss to be honest. Even after so long, her music still lives in us. She was such a huge talent. Absolutely what a loss. RIP Amy. We all love you forever. Thank you for your music.
Amy was so sweet and cute back then. An incredible talent who would have continued to produce groundbreaking music to this day, such a tragic loss of a beautiful and amazingly talented young lady. RIP Songbird.
@@ThornyRoseV Are you familiar with her story? She was surrounded by psychic vampires, from her low-life boyfriend to a father whose cold-hearted exploitation made Brittney’s dad look like Jim Brady from The Brady Bunch. Fame is hard on anyone... especially so on a vulnerable young person. It’s hard enough to thrive in the crazy world of “show biz” with a proper support system... exponentially harder when surrounded by scumbags and parasites. Her story is tragic and infuriating. You should see the documentary, “Amy”, if you haven’t already.
she picks up that guitar and out comes that one and only voice. And does it like its so easy. The effortlessness, the lack of struggle, the purity, the beauty. Oh my heart still aches for the loss of our Amy xx
To be honest.. It is effortless. I believe that you're born able to sing, so it comes quite naturally. You can get lessons to help you but if you're tone deaf, nothing's going to help you. Many of time I've heard people be like "How did you do that?" And they were like"I don't know... I just did it." 😊😊
She was so confident and poised. The host talked with a bit of a rude upfront tone, but she was so good at responding fast yet calm. I’d argue she was funnier than the host.
It wouldn't be hard to be funnier than that buffoon - he's a legend in his own imagination. Amy Winehouse was a towering talent whose name will be known long after his has been forgotten.
I'm not British but I suppose some of his 'rudeness'/'self importance' is meant to be funny by making himself look like a prat? Or does he genuinely mean this? Since some people will artificially inflate their ego to get a laugh. It's unusual but can be effective.
@@andrewbarrett1537 I've worked with Jonathan Ross several times, as a TV producer. Trust me, he isn't 'artificially inflating' his ego - he really does believe he's better than everyone else. He wasn't fit to clean Amy Winehouse's shoes - or any of the big stars he's been so lucky to meet over his long, lucrative TV career. He's a nasty, no-talent piece of shit. And he's produced some very ugly children, just as ambitious and conceited as he is. Just what the world needs eh, more narcissists!
Her skin has a natural glow. What I noticed first is the ease she has in walking in the very high heels. She takes normal steps with ease. Her beauty and her voice are unique. Gone so soon. What a loss. What a loss.
I think it's because she was short. I guess short women have less difficulties walking on high heels than tall ones. It's all about height, balance and gravity. 😅
+Suzie Shackles Yep, she was, I dated a girl back in the day that looked like A young Healthy beautiful Amy Winehouse, it brought back good memories, when i search for Amy's Happy Healthy days, she had a double!!
Good lord...I am stunned by what she looked like before the alcohol and drug addiction. So cute, curvaceous and full of confidence. Great voice. Just 20 years old. I agree with an earlier comment...I just want to hug her and protect her from the demons.
nollieflipcrook No she did not die from an overdose. Make sure you have the facts before calling somebody else an idiot (otherwise you make yourself look like an idiot.)
Stuart Howieson her ex husband got her into drugs and alcohol and she struggled with depression and bullemia. Rehab was a cry for help but everyone just laughed
@@SphericallyChallenged 'drugs' are not alive you fuckwit. And her 'demons' are part of her, and therefore part of 'judging her' - or do you believe they are external creatures flying around with a tail. I imagine this is the reason for Midgeon's reply - a response to your gross stupidity.
What a complicated song..the ups and downs and little nuances even without the guitar (which is perfect!), Amy's voice is incredible! She had soul and the ability to hook you in with her lyrics. She was and remains probably the best female artist of our generation. Who knows what she would have gone on to achieve. I love seeing her cheekiness and sparkling eyes in this interview - she really was utterly mesmerising🌹
