Im a seattle fan but Respect to Caps for this pick, the perfect spot for a russian with ovi. Hopes he recovers well from his illness and take a shot in nhl, he is a beast. Good luck Ivan. Respect for giving him the opportunity even having the bad luck he has had

@@Clark807 20's are exactly where you want to be taking a risk with a first rounder, the Caps need guys to take them back over the top, a safe pick isn't worth much when you have an aging roster and an aging superstar, they need an elite youth talent injection.

The teams that passed on him possibly due to his illness and his KHL contract pronably feel pretty silly right about now. He bought out his contract and has signed his ELC and will start this season in Hershey and very likely to get a chance sometime with the big club
