Great responses everyone! We apologize for a break in posting new videos. We've had some software glitches in our studio. New episodes will resume on July 21st, so tune in then!
I only keep and breed leopard geckos but I only have a small breeding group of 3 females and 1 male right now but I really enjoy it. I have also bred eastern box turtles and 5 lined skinks.
The Reptile Channel - HerpersTV I keep my leopard geckos identical to the way he keeps his. No substrate and a water, food and supplement dish. Mine will start mating in February.
I really love this video. Its a nice lesson of one of the most important person in this hobby, the great Ron. Every time I watch this video I learn new things. Nice!!!

Glad you're enjoying it. I may have to go back one day and film the rest of his collection!
My girlfriend and I just bought into Ron's newest discovery the Pastel leopard gecko. There are a whole bunch of people who are super anxious and excited to see what you can create with it, but so far everything i've seen shows amazing promise. I can't wait till hatching season next year! :)
Excellent information on this video especially about leaving the scent trail and supplementation you guys definitely need a frog segment most importantly Kim Thomas at the frog ranch

+rocsteady777 We agree and will look into it! Thanks for the suggestion!
I am having such a hard time finding the containers used in these videos. It seems that all of the 28qt tubs and shoebox tubs these days are so similar in height that it would appear that the gecko would not be able to fit to climb in the top. Look at the 05:23 mark and you will see that there is plenty of head room for the gecko to climb in. Its just not so with currently made containers.
If i could keep anything id have a bunch of fiji iguanas. There awsome and not legal to keep but i think with captive breeding programs everyone could enjoy them as pets in there homes.
Anyone know of a fairly decent price guide for the many different Leopard Gecko morphs?

I would think that because they change often from supply/demand, a price guide would become outdated faster than the effort to create it would be worth.
If we could only keep one lizard species in our collection, beyond a doubt it would be blue tongue skinks. (But don't make us choose between the sub-species! ;] )
so i have an question to ask i own an leopard gecko mine famale she is pick about food i got her superwarm she wont eat she will eat hornwarm she love those i being try to get her to eat superwarm what best way get her eat supperwarm

Try something else like crickets, and if she isn't interested in food, try warming up the warm side of her enclosure. Hope she starts eating again!
Ummm....... Why is he holding the geckos by the tail???? That is like the 1# no no for owners, due to them dropping their tails easily!! I'm sure he knows that but he still does it?!?!
A lot of in breeding going on there. Beautiful animals but i fear the genes are some what inferior. He says he will be breeding the babies to each other.
Ron's been raising these guys for many years, and is the Leopard Gecko guru, so I would think he knows how to handle his animals. And they're not fragile by any means.
Am I the only one here who absolutely hates this man for the horrible setups he keeps leos in? I get he was the first to breed them but that doesn’t make it right.
Leopard geckos are nocturnal, like a small space, and where they occur naturally is in war-torn areas. These animals get fed and watered on a regular basis, have a climate-controlled environment, and don't have to worry about being eaten by another animal. And these animals don't know any different. Quite a nice easy life if you ask me.
