Vanilla World of Warcraft is a massive place full of adventure. This time our fresh wow classic journey took us all over Azeroth, including back into the Scarlet Monastery!
Yeah I mean I get it as a Horde player, they killed Mankriks wife after all! But as Alliance, it makes no sense. They would be better off leaving them to fight the Horde haha
Theres nothing stopping you from trying both bud, they're on the same sub after all. You may find you prefer the faster pace and endgame focus of wrath. I personally prefer the slower pace and more "virtual world" design of classic era!
Hi Vulgrin, thanks for making the series. Really loving it, made me start playing classic again. On my current server I seem to have a lot of trouble finding groups for low level stuff. What server are you on? Seemed to be going smoothly for you. Thanks again, you've got a new sub! Keep it up!
Classic has that feel Retail has been missing for a very long time, i've been there for 2 decades now, the world aswell as class design/fantasy which feels awful in Retail in many ways. For a long time now i've tried to level up from 1 in Retail(because i want to be in a ''up-to-date'' game, so to speak) but i always quit after a few levels due to how dull it is...not because of the quests, but *because the world isn't dangerous/challenging, your char is god-like with infinite resources.* It's so extremely off putting that it's unplayable. When i play RPGs, MMOs or otherwise, i expect an adventure, a journey from lvl 1, requiring awareness, management, time and effort. Investing a lot of time and effort while leveling is what makes eventual endgame fulfilling, satisfying, that ''i made it'' feeling. Retail practically skips everything, showers you in loot and items and points you towards the latest raid tier or mythic+ dungeon. Like, what's the point? TL.DR. I wish i could play Retail due to it's up-to-date nature, but the way the game is designed makes it feel awful to play. The game should start at lvl 1...not max, leveling should be a part of the main game along with endgame because it's an MMORPG, not an XXX simulator.
I completely agree with you. I want to feel like I have to think, and this is the reason why people are playing hardcore classic too; they want to have to think about their adventure and take it seriously. When I'm on my rogue, I'm planning on clearing Scarlet Monastery to complete a quest to get a really good sword upgrade, I care about that adventure even though it's not even nearly an endgame thing. You have nothing like that in retail. Thanks for sharing your perspective!
Hey, your Mum has company! There's *two* ladies watching your videos! Call your Horse "Raisin", since he'll be an Amazing Horse, and should be named after what he tastes like. (more old Internet memes for you there). And your friend's right. Legion Survival hunters suck. They essentially erased a spec. Beastmaster ftw!
I like what they attempted in Legion, but it was very poorly executed unfortunately and would've only made sense if there was a second ranged dps class. There was no need to reduce the number of ranged specs even further!
@@vulgrin9573 Exactly! I was hoping Demon Hunter would have a ranged spec too, since they use crossbows in Diablo III, but no such luck. At least Beastmaster was fun in Legion. I still transmogged whatever weapon I had after into Titanstrike, until I stopped playing retail.
A lot of classes were really underdeveloped or unbalanced in vanilla, but I think that rogue was not only strong but very well crafted. It also has one of the strongest class identities in game, perhaps the strongest and I care a lot about the "rp" value of that sort of thing haha
Just for the record bro, Ive been playing WoW since vanilla… i don’t think I know why exactly do we kill those pigs in the barrens … so yea man ummm trust me you are not the only one
I would feel quite bad berating a mare whilst I'm being chased down by enemies, so I may go with a male name to make me feel better when I shout at the horse to go faster hahaha
