I didn't agree, and I hate this video. didn't watch most of it because it was too unbearable to watch, nor did it have what I was looking for. downvoted
I think the idea to do Classic+ [after] vanilla -- post TBC or WoTLK is totally tone-deaf. You've missed the point. There's a reason the game drops off on all private servers at that point. The problem is flying mounts. Flying mounts and arena [ruin] the PvP experience for the super-majority of players. This is why TBC and WoTLK both fall off every time people, including Blizzard, try to do progressive gameplay. As fun as it is for someone to win in arena and get a high rating, and have definitive proof of their superiority -- the majority will never achieve that. The dead-weight carry system of 40 people in a raid, and the PvP system based on sustained effort rather than skill is what [makes] Classic more popular. There is no way around that. You've completely missed the point, sir. The game [cannot] survive flying mounts in their existing implementation, though I think allowing them to be mounted at flight-paths might work.. but otherwise? No. You missed the beat, sir. This whole video is off. The level increases COMPLETELY destroy "high levels function in the world beside low levels" that existed in Vanilla Classic. It's impossible to work in the frame you've setup in this video. If Arcanite isn't important, most of the zones in Classic stop mattering. The economy stops mattering. If a healer 5 or 10 levels lower can't throw a heal that matters on a max level player ... You've missed the entire point. And the hitpoint scaling between TBC and Wrath completely destroys that. Go back and do your math again.
Grown up weebo gamers cause of the issue. Weak, disgusting and pathetic. Like ppl using boost/gold services. If there is no market for it there is no services...
it's not even close to classic classic is retail already weakauras details dbm big wigs little wigs etc didn't even exist till cata mostly and even in cata weakauras was only useful for progs so classic isn't even classic and classic will never be classic
This may show my age a bit, but I have begun to use descriptions of other games to "explain" WoW. Basically, the current "retail" version of WoW is a slot machine; designed for the dopamine hit by constant action, little downtime and very little thought process. Vanilla/Classic is a card game like Hearts or Pinochle; You deal the cards, plan your play, and on occasion have to rely on your partner to play their best card. The card game is quiet and conversational with your fellow players. Generally you'll all have a cup of coffee or something and you'll be chatting about other things while playing the game around a dining room table. I could go on, but I'm sure you get the idea.
you made a good point with the wow token. the wow token made it safer for players to buy gold. before the wow token if you were not careful you could get your credit/debit card info stolen or account hacked. some of the gold sold was from hacked accounts. great video as well
Troll always been my favorite race. Thier tribal vibe and culture are awesome. Also think they have the best soundtracks not only because it sounds cool but those tracks are composed in such a original manner and dope instruments compared to other races. As u mentioned that trolls culture is a mix of south american and African native heritage. In terms of music they also take a thing from Aborigines instrument called didgeridoo and Mongolian throat singing (that you can hear for majority of echo isles sound track). I think only race that have as fitting tracks are taurens and Drenais. The azuramyst isle? Bro I always was the one who screamed for the horde and it will stay this way but...I will always be jealous that alliance have the best starting zone and actually one of the best zones in terms of design overall. This track carried me through so many fantasy books that it's amazing.
Sorry to say, but this video is garbage. At least the first half of it. If we're watching wow videos, we probably play the game, or have played it. And we know what kind of payment model it has. In 10 minutes you still haven't gotten to the point, I'm just tired of listening to this wikipedia crap. Classic has no problems whatsoever, old players are just tired of it, and new people are playing new games. And I understand blizzard, how they must be sick of this horrible community of whiners. Dude, most of the games from those times are not only dead, their names won't be remembered anymore. Blizzard goes after the whiners every time. - Oh, we want a classic. All right, here's a classic wow, play it. - We don't want any changes. Okay. - No the game sucks, we want changes. Okay, here's the sod. - No, sod sucks, we won't play it. Same with tbc and wrath and cata and whatever they made. And that's the thing about wow players, they don't know what they want and make absurd demands of blizzard. What you want is to play like it was in your youth, it's not about monetization, or any of the problems the game has always had. When I enjoyed wow, I played at 800x600 resolution, with a ping of about 300. Getting the game and subscription in my country was very difficult and very expensive, especially for a school kid. I had a weak computer and everything lagged like crap, in raids I didn't even realize what was going on. Still, it was a great experience because it was a new game I was young and there was nothing like it back then. I hate blizzard for many things, but certainly not for their attitude towards wow players. The only thing left to do is suck your d***, and all the idiotic requirements are already met
I don't understand the bad rap Cataclysm gets. Its got the same Classic gameplay, but a bit more streamlined/consolidated (I'm thinking of the spells here). The raids and dungeons are awesome, Talent tree, glyphs, I mean, way too much to list here... It seems like LFR is what most people have a beef against, which happened at the last patch (Dragon Soul). Devs are strongly considering leaving it out, which I don't like, but can live easily live with. I always found Cata to be a good marriage of both new and old. It holds up very nicely even today.
The now "hidden" like/dislike ratio is still so telling in how people emotionally connect with information that is directly associated to them. I'm not a numbers geek by any stretch, but seeing nearly a 1/6th likes/dislikes on a video with only 25k views is a WoW-specific anomaly. I genuinely fear that Blizzard has done so much damage to their brand that content which once fell under their "limelight" is now effectively cushioning their downfall. Something like diminishing rage returns being distributed between all content creators instead of stockpiled against them specifically. I hope people recognize that this company now regularly block outside creators monetization, while running a literal ~black-market~ ~currency-manipulation~ ~NETWORK~ in their video game... Something I am still not even sure how they are legally allowed to operate.
They cannot make good content anymore The old devs are all gone and their replacements just want immediate gratification Everything they do, every update patch and action they take, is just chipping away at the masterpiece until nothing is left Billions of dollars and zero inspiration, creativity or merit
Imagine playing a game in 2024 that you should buy, there is a subscription and there is a P2W system buying gold with real money + gdkp raid...have fun!
To real. The fact that i dont spend $100 bucks extra each month on random store mounts and toys means blizzard wont care about SoD or classic content. Its mega grim
I'm an OG Vanilla player, who has mained the same hunter since 2005. When Classic was released I was busy playing retail but started another hunter on Classic and levelled up to 35 or so. Then Dragonflight was released and I went back to retail for the next year or so. By the time I got sick of Dragonflight, I went to go back to my hunter on Classic and found that I had been transferred over to TBC!!! I was like WTF, I never received an email or in-game message saying that this would happen. I don't want to play TBC or wotlk or any other expansion, to me "Classic" IS Vanilla! Season of x, y, z is not Classic either imho and I don't want to play that either!
I’m not trying to steal WOW players as I loved it for many years but like many grew board. Recently I discovered Ascension WoW, a totally free “classless” private server with a giant player base. It has become so popular that instead of WOW trying to shut them down their recent additions have “borrowed” from Ascension. Yes it was a store but the items do not allow you to pay to win. That version has reignited my love for classic wow.
NPC auto-leveling and "group finder" feature killed WoW. Auto-leveling killed any reason to progress. "Group finder" killed any reason to explore the world and compete quests, because you'll get more experience and much better loot in 5 minutes for literally doing nothing in a dungeon than you would from doing quests for hours. You don't need even find a dungeon! You can be teleported to any dungeon by clicking a mouse. Modern WoW is all about waiting in queue for nonsense grinding the same mobs in the same nonsense dungeons to receive nonsense loot. Game is totally broken. Plus microtransactions. But looks like it's exactly what people want :)
They are milking the game at maximum speed..buy expansion pay monthly sub cash shop gold shop limited time mounts on the shop and people are defending that its not p2w ..its worse its buy and pay2play and p2w..disgusting
Been playing since vanilla… never bought anything other than sub and expansion pack. Gear is easy, no one is dumping their life savings into tokens to buy equipment lol. This stuff is there to exploit the CE races, they aren’t bothered by it. Wow has its problems but this ain’t it.
I remember seeing...hard to say now. I want to say it was during MoP maybe or Cata ? I saw an ingame store for FF I think it was. And it looked awful. Like the stuff that was being sold just made the game look bad. And I remember thinking this is insane, thankfully my game will never do this because Blizzard has style. Shows you how much of a different time it was even tho there were like 2 pets on the Blizzard store, and you could not access it in game.
Please, get to the point or section your video. I wound up clicking around and not even getting to the meat of it, and now I'm clicking off. Since you only have 10k subs and this video only has 22k views, I'm leaving feedback. Sponsorblock exists with a "skip to highlight" button for a reason. Couldn't be bothered to find it in this video, since nobody added it yet.
