Sean you are the most likable person....not because you found someone's ring, you clearly are a good man. This is the third video of yours I have seen. Two were finding lost men's rings and the first one was about your metal detecting. You drew me in on that video. BTW, I loved how you spoke with the little girl who asked what you were doing and you explained what you could find in the ocean. I love your channel and I am hooked. Thank you.
Thanks! Too many people have that "finders keepers" mentality. I just hope that other people watch my videos and change their minds about keeping things that can easily be returned
Sarasota local here and I love your videos! The fact you do this from the bottom of your heart even makes it that much more amazing. Keep up the great work, I’ll definitely hit you up if I know anyone that looses something here.
Awesome job Shawn 👍 People don't realize the time and work to find their lost stuff and the expense of driving to the spot and then meeting them with the recovery. Job well done
I’ve been detecting Boston area beaches 30 + years. I’ve been watching your channel on my big screen all night. You are a prince. Most of all I appreciate how you fill the holes in the dry sand. 🙏❤️💰
I don’t even like going to the beach…as a fair skinned, redhead, I had a sun stroke and a number of bad blistering sunburns as a child so learned not to care for the beach. I would rather go to the mountains BUT you, Shawn, make me want to go to the beach and look for jewelry. You are an awesome person.
On a different subject, why can’t people throw there trash away? Whenever I have went metal detecting that’s the one thing I find the most! You are such a great person to want to find people jewelry and not charge anything, just out of the goodness of your heart! Your Parents did a great job with raising you!❤️
Thank you! I agree with you about the trash. People are too lazy these days. Thankfully, there's a lot of awesome people that I see out on the beaches in the morning, picking up the trash left by people the day before!
Great recovery,Great video and as always Great advice Shawn!! Not getting much more then junk jewelry north of you up Clearwater way. Got 170 rings so far this year with only 18 gold? Sure not like last year! As always enjoy your vids!!!! KEEP SWINGING BROTHER!!!! 👍👍👍
DIY floating sifter to sort out finds from scoop dump. Pool noodle and plastic yard screening. Tie wraps to secure screen to noodle. Add tow line to tie to belt clip. Round shape or square shape frame with PVC pipe. Or wolmanized 1"x6" with galvanized hardware cloth.
Seems to me, and I'm just chiming in after the fact, that Justin should have accompanied you men to help with possible locations. Good you found it, great job.
I've been watching some of your past videos. As I've mentioned before I'm really enjoying your channel. Your video and sound quality is very very good. Also your technique and production is also very good. Well done on the ring return.
another nice video. You definitely have the patience for the recovery business. BTW are you happy with the OWL excal shaft. all the bugs worked out? good luck out there
Shawn I watch several people that detect. I want to tell you yours is by far the best I've watched. Other people tape stuff that is so, so boring. The videos spend too much time taping crap. I'm a grandmother and really want to buy myself a metal detector that's not to expensive and performs well. Any recommendations. Thank you so much. Hello from SF CA bay are.
Thank you so much!!! Check out the Minelab Xterra Pro. It's inexpensive, yet still has a lot of the bells and whistles that the higher end machines have. Let me know if you have any other questions!
I should start showing just how much trash I find. I usually only show the good stuff, but I don't want people to think that all I find is treasure!! That's soooo far from the truth! Its astounding how much trash is out there!
@@DetectFlorida totally do that dude! And how to properly despose of it! Some folks don't even know what to safely do about hooks and fishing line and old rusty metals
He did!!! He treated me to a LOT of lunches actually! It's actually a funny story. He gave me a large chipotle gift card. There was an employee there that didn't know how to input the gift card, so he'd just give it to me for free whenever I came in to use it. I got WAY more than the dollar amount on the card because of that kid 😂 Huge shoutout to Justin for months and months of free chipotle!
be at the beach tomorrow. i use a gold monster. not water proof like i think your excaliber. ??? but the gm 1000 works good. the one guy last week was swinging to fast with a equinox. have a good day boss
New sub here….great video! Do you ever take a reward if it’s advertised that finding a ring comes with a reward? I don’t have a channel and not looking to have one but just found a ring that I am returning this weekend and it came with a reward. Not sure why I feel guilty for accepting it as I spent time and money to retrieve the ring. What are your thoughts on accepting a reward offered? Thank you and keep up the great work!
if you ever do merch i think your first tee shirt should be .....another freekin pull tab!!!!! sorry not sure how to spell freakin freekin? lolol!! you say it alot!!! (alot of u tubers put their often used sayings on mugs or tees! id buy one!
Hola muy buenos vídeos una pregunta donde as comprado la barra de carbón del scoop y si me puedes pasar las midas muchas gracias mucha suerte en los próximos vídeos un saludo desde 🇪🇸 España
I regularly browse the local beach facebook pages. I also get tagged in lost item posts. Maybe one day I'll hand out business cards to beach resorts and lifeguards
Sometimes the amount of shells in the scoop is too much. When you grab some out and put them back in the water, you always run the risk of accidentally dropping it back in the water. Its easier to dump them on shore and take a smaller scoop with the target in it
