This shuttle delivery of the weft yarn was replaced forty years ago at the company I worked at by the projectile method,. Now days we have the airjet system where the weft yarn is delivered much faster, resulting in much faster weaving.

This bobbin technology has been replaced many years ago in India. Yet there are at some in some villages. I was the manufacturer of shuttle jaw having captured the all India market which was used in automatic looms. But now that has been almost distinguished.
Молодцы, работают люди. пусть и на коленке, но производят нужную вещь для ткачества. А у нас в России даже и этого не делают. Все развалили и уничтожили вяликие правители.
Лишь бы погундеть. Челнок- это не прошлый, а даже по за прошлый век. Сейчас в России работают пневматические станки, производительность которых в четыре раза выше челночных.

I was also a manufacturer of wooden bobbin since 1940 to 1993 . I was only manufacturer of bobbin from North India we makes 10 gross bobbin per day each type. There are near thausand types of wooden bobbin. We have total automatic machines of bobbin but we sold all in scrap 😭
As a species we waste so much of the world's resources. In a non-sustainable way. It's sad to think my descendants will have to suffer because of the ignorance of mankind today.
