We met with American Travel Vlogger Jon Barr and helped guide him through a selection of traditional Welsh. Jon was visiting Cardiff, the capital city of #Wales for the first time.

We get to visit a little cafe “Garlands’ in Duke Street arcade, one of the many Victorian arcades in Cardiff city centre.
Jon tries an all-day Welsh breakfast with Laverbread, a traditional Welsh dish made from simmering seaweed. Cockles, a little shellfish found around the coast of the Gower Peninsula.
He also tries Welsh Lamb and Glamorgan Sausages.
We couldn’t let him visit Cardiff without trying a glass of Brains Dark in one of the pubs. We ended up in The Old Arcade, one of Cardiff’s traditional pubs. Brains is a Cardiff based brewery that has been operating since 1882.

Make sure you try some traditional Welsh food when you visit Wales, especially the laverbread at breakfast.

Well done Cardiff for staying strong with the Cockles and Lava bread. It's awesome stuff when you get into it. Acquired taste, but once hooked it's one of the best things your can eat.

So cool to see this collab with Jon :) We love his channel and seeing you make a video together is absolutely awesome!! Great to see his reaction to the food and see how much he enjoyed it! Welsh lamb with mint sauce on top! Oh man my mouth is all watery now! This made me really hungry!

We've been eating seaweed just as long as the Japanese. Welsh food is mainly based around home cooking, what your mother would make.

Apart from the laverbread and Welsh cakes, we'ren famous for lamb. We do have a LOT of sheep here.

Lots of good seafood in West Wales, a lot of it gets sent to the restaurants of France and Spain.

Trying different foods is such a big part of discovering the countries you visit. Mint Jelly and Lamb yes please, very popular in Australia aswell

Thanks, it was a last minute thing. It was a late breakfast and Mel was having an early lunch. We don't usually have lamb, mint sauce and gravy at breakfast.

Welsh food is generally focussed around home cooking. Like Jon said, if you are in the UK you should visit Cardiff, only 2 hours from London. And we've got over 600 castles!
