Lovely stuff Bruce. I've not been out for weeks now and not had much look when I have fished. One more carp trip then hopefully I'll get a couple of pike sessions in before Christmas. Out of interest how do you pop up your deadbaits? I've tried loads of methods but they all look really garish to me!
Hi Dan, I was wondering why you've been a bit quiet, all ok hopefully. Pop-ups, I use Greys Prowla pears, sadly now discontinued, on a short wire to suit size of baits with a loop in the end. I have a long baiting needle which goes all the way thro' the bait from the point where the top treble will be and out thro' the mouth then pull the wire/pop-up back thro' the bait until the pop-up slots into baits' mouth, thread the bottom treble thro' the loop and hook the top treble thro' the loop and into the bait. Working with frozen baits the needle needs to be strong, I use a Stonflo 30cm. I'm up in the Highlands next week, I'll try doing a bit of video to illustrate. 💖
@@amomentintimechannel1315 yeah all ok thanks for asking just life getting in the way of fishing. I've got a few of those greys prowla pears and they work for me too. Sounds a similar way to how I rig them up but would be interesting to see a little video of you doing it. I used to pull the wire through them the night before and keep 3 or 4 baits ready to go so I didn't have to do it on the bank. Thanks Bruce
