If he started his own AP channel, he could make a lot of money...and I would gladly pay him. His enthusiasm and teaching ability is something I haven't seen in any other AP professor I've had...
hey ,if anyone else needs to find out about anatomy and physiology study help try Grathaw Simple Anatomy Expert (just google it ) ? Ive heard some super things about it and my colleague got excellent success with it.

Dr. Preddy was sent here from someplace above us to save us and bring us understandable anatomy. But seriously, love this representing an osteopathic school!
There are many factors in learning human anatomy. One resource I found which successfully combines these is the Anatomy Blueprint Pro (google it if you're interested) definately the most useful course i've heard of. look at this unbelievable resource.
I'm a medical student at Touro Nevada and the sad part is that Dr. Preddy isn't even paid to teach despite the fact that he makes anatomy so much easier... He's been coming in for years because he loves teaching and is hoping to land a part-time job here.
A transcript of sorts: Upper arm 3 muscles on the front and one on the back. The three muscles on the front are biceps brachii, coracobrachialis and brachialis. So the biceps brachii where does it attach to on the humerus? NOWHERE. ATTACHMENT ON THE HUMERUS, it skips the humerus entirely and attaches on the scapula and radius.. On the scapula, the bicep brachii attaches to the coracoid process and supraglenoid tubercle down to the radial tuberosity. This causes you to be able to turn your hand (supinate). So everybody, grab your arm like this. Now, I want you to stick your pinky up as high as you can and try and relax your biceps. ...You can't. Because the biceps not only flexes your elbow and flexes your shoulder, it also is the major supinator of your elbow. It turns your hand up like that, that is supination. If you hold a bowl of soup you are supinating. So, supine, supination, pronation supination. . So pronation, point your thumb down, that is pronation. This is supination , and the major supinator is the major supinator is the biceps brachii. Now, if you make yourself a muscle and then turn your hand around. Do you feel it all go away? Your biceps really only work when your hand is supinated. When your hand is totally pronated your bicep doesn't work because where it attaches onto your radius is facing the wrong way. So the other muscle, the one underneath there, the brachialis, it attaches to the ulna , not the radius.
For my college anatomy lab, we are expected to read and memorize the diagrams presented in our lab notebook. This method of teaching anatomy and physiology is so much more interesting and effective. Thank you!!
Dr Preddy, what a wonderful gift you have and a sharing with the world. I have never seen anyone teach anatomy in such a way that it flows and stays in my brain. Very grateful in Texas! Melody
This is the best anatomy lecturer I have ever come across!!!! Dr Preddy, please please please make more videos! You need a RU-vid channel!!!!!!! Your lessons are so exceptional!
I always come back to this video when I'm needing to refresh on the arm muscles. Currently studying for my board exam and came back to this video after 6 months. This guy is the best!!
Taking my MBlex state exam in 2 weeks. Dr. Preddy is amazing! You can tell he enjoys his work and cares about teaching his students. Well done professor!
(first comment on youtube) I'm a PTA graduate about to take my BOARDS... You Sir, Dr. Preddy", just got me to understand the A&P of the entire Arm in 17minutes. When it took me 2 weeks in school just to barely pass an exam. And to whoever posted this video...Thank you.
This guy is the best of best. I've struggled all day long try to memorize the muscle; however, I memorized everything in an easy way by watching the video. Thank you so much for uploading!!!
Believe it or not... I almost cried while watching this because I finally started understanding the muscles. Before, no matter how many times I tried, I kept forgetting which muscle is where. This prof at least did it in such a way that he throws in memory triggers... tremendous professor.
Your explanation is WONDERFUL and... so understandable! You should be truly awarded for this. Dr Preddy, thanks for contributing to my medical education and today's test :)
You are a great teacher!!! My teacher has been trying to teach me this for weeks but watching this ten minute video taught me more than she has ever done so thanks! even reminded me why I enjoy a&p so thanks for keeping me motivated :)
I would really appreciate it, if this professor would make more videos or a tv show. he explains it so well. we can all comprehend it. I love it. I want more!!! please
I almost went to Touro while I was living in NV but decided to move across the country to go to another school on the east coast. Man....if I knew that i could have had this guy as a professor, I would have stayed! Awesome Videos! You're an amazing professor! Thank you....
makes much more sense and clears things up when you actually read your upper limb notes prior to this video. Don't expect a 10 minute video to substitute that.
