Sometimes you think that it might not be in every country that jw suffer the same thing, like depression, loneliness, and cruelty from people in congregations. How sad that this cult is hurting people all over the world 😢
Damage this cult inflicts on people has no borders or boundaries. There’s a lot more to my story which I didn’t mention in this interview but it took years of therapy, soul searching, healing…and going to very dark places for me to be where I am today… but still after all this work I’m nowhere near where I want to be in my life or feeling healed… it’s an ongoing journey….I’m hopeful though x

As a result, we need to know how to discern the difference between facts and lies. Our enemies may use the Internet or social media to try to undermine our trust in Jehovah and our love for our brothers. Remember who is behind such propaganda, and reject it!-1 John 4:1, 6; Rev. 12:9. The spirit creature who became the Devil was once in the truth. But “he did not stand fast in the truth,” said Jesus, “because truth is not in him.” (John 8:44) This foremost apostate has pursued a relentless course of resistance to “the God of truth.” Some first-century Christians fell into “the snare of the Devil,” apparently becoming his victims because of being misled and deviating from the truth. I know that after my going away oppressive wolves will enter in among you and will not treat the flock with tenderness, and from among you yourselves men will rise and speak twisted things to draw away the disciples after themselves.” (Acts 20:28-30) In time, such apostates did arise and “speak twisted things.” Apostates often appeal to the ego, claiming that we have been deprived of our freedoms, including the freedom to interpret the Bible for ourselves. (Compare Genesis 3:1-5.) In reality, these would-be defilers offer nothing more than a return to the nauseating teachings of “Babylon the Great.” (Revelation 17:5; 2 Peter 2:19-22) Others appeal to the flesh, urging former associates to “take it easy” because the humble work of witnessing from house to house is “unnecessary” or “unscriptural.” (Compare Matthew 16:22, 23.) True, such smooth talkers may look outwardly clean in a physical and moral way. But inside they are spiritually unclean, having given in to prideful, independent thinking. They have forgotten all that they learned about Jehovah, his holy name and attributes. They no longer acknowledge that all they learned about Bible truth-the glorious hope of the Kingdom and a paradise earth and the overturning of false doctrines, such as the Trinity, the immortal human soul, eternal torment, and purgatory-yes, all of this came to them through “the faithful and discreet slave.”-Matthew 24:45-47.

Thank you so much Justin 🙏 She was only 3 or thereabouts at the time and she already felt that “something is wrong with her” because she wasn’t like the other children. So many of us grew up with these feelings and many more damaging beliefs because of this cult. So glad you are free too Justin. My warmest wishes.
Hello Gabi. My story is as yours. I'm from Slovakia. I have two daugters. I wanted good and happy life for them. But JW life is very stressfull. My older daugter has depresion and helth problems. Now she is much better, when we as family are PIMO'S. 💕

I'm glad you asked her about why her family moved so much. I was thinking the same thing. I personally know of 3 families like that. Now that I think about it, it seems the women have the issue. They would sign a 6 month or year lease and for no reason just move. Sometimes leasing the very same type of apartment/flat. Very hard on a child as it takes away stability. I don't know how (or why) they would do it? Especially before cell phones. You have to reset up your utilities, phone, change mailing address. Crazy.
That comment about not finding it easy to connect with non witnesses because we're so used to talking about deep and meaningful stuff...really can identify with you on that.

Wow. An entire Watchtower article. I have yet to encounter any so-called apostate lies. Everything I’ve researched is documented in Watchtower publications or government and secular sources. Sadly it’s the very same self-proclaimed “Faithful & Discrete Slave” who have stumbled many away from God with various falsehoods, misrepresentation, puritanical policies, coverups, flip flopping doctrines, and failed predictions/ statements, all adamantly presented as “Truth” at one time or another.
@@ShoNuffSoulBro1 Its all in how you receive it. A apostate can read the same article that a Christian Jehovah's witness reads, but their twisted way of thinking can turn it into something bad. Think about it. What possible bad thing could the devil say about God. And yet, he got other Angels to rebel. His tactics have not changed. For instance, people see a Governing Body leading JW or a body of Elders at the Kingdom Halls, and call that a cult. And yet they go to a church that promotes a man like T.D. Jakes or Joel Osteen or the Pope and they don't see the cult like following of men. They have billboards of a man inviting people to "HIS" church. They go to revivals in the name of a man. Like the Billy Graham crusades. They have the name of the Pastors on signs advertising his sermons. They reserve seats for the Pastor's wife at church. But they want to call JW a cult.
Thank you for watching. However I’m really surprised that you and few others are even here. As a JW I personally never watched similar materials because Governing Body advises strongly against it (to put it mildly). This interview is MY personal experience and MY thoughts. I don’t for one minute preach or speak to JWs who are active members and are happy there. I honestly think that this group as many similar organisations or religions are the best place for some people. I tell my story for people who are in turmoil because of cognitive dissonance as I was myself for many years. I have every right to have my own opinions, my own emotions and my own experiences and to share it which I know that as an active JW member can be difficult to comprehend. As for JW being a cult. Here are just a few characteristics of a high-control organisations or cults. I just leave these here 1. The leader is the ultimate authority 2. The group suppresses scepticism 3. The group delegitimizes former members 4. The group is paranoid about the outside world 5. The group relies on shame tactics 6. The leader is above the law 7. The group uses “thought reform” methods 8. The group is elitist. Solution for all the world’s problems. 9. There is no financial transparency 10. New recruits are “love bombed.”
