A little fuck up by vault tec of not sending an extra water chip to a random vault (of which were never supposed to even be used) led to the foundation of the ncr, caesar legion, the destruction of the enclave, and many more deaths and sufferment all because of a little extra water chip, damn

To be fair, a man's search of a watership AND single handed extermination of super mutant army. Because if the vault dweler had stoped at finding the chip things would have been very different... More green.

@@s.m.2523 also eventually the mutant army would find the vault due to the 500 days counting down😒. It was only a matter of time until the Master and his children find vault 13.

@@parkersmith8711 The courier can say at one point in the game that they're from Arroyo. That always made me wonder if they have any relation to the vault 13/arroyo village residents. I'd like to hope they did, but arroyo's a rather large city by the time New Vegas rolls around so who knows.

Sadly the Fallout Bible tells us that Xarn and Goris were the last intelligent deathclaws (in California, at any rate). They died leaving no offspring.

Fallout: New Vegas is pretty damn good, but has some holes and inconsistencies. Fallout 2 though? Just for the sake of actual canon jokes and pop-culture references Fallout 2 murdered the lore of Fallout 1. There are tons of places where Fallout 2 lore failed harder than any of Bethesda's additions

@@natsume-hime2473 Nothing in Fallout 2 is as bad as the stupidity that is Little Lamplight, the Kid in the Fridge, or pre-war Jet.

The fact that it invalidates player choice when it comes to the Vault Dweller's gender keeps that bit of the lore from being perfect. An RPG sequel should try to either leave the identity and traits of the previous player character murky or give the player the chance to select that characters traits in the latest installment so that NPCs can allude to them as seen in Knights of the Old Republic 2 if they can't do the old save bonus thing like Mass Effect.

Those augments are from the Institute, given that he is not a wizzened cyborg corpse, its a safe bet he left San Fran for Boston well before the Chosen One came about to do their thing, otherwise he would have his augmentsprevious to going to the Shi, and having killed everyone in San Fran, I can confirm there is no Cyborg guards.

@Conn Benn That's something that can only be said by someone who doesn't actually know the lore of Fallout. Fallout 3, 4, and 76 do adhere to the canon quite well actually. Fallout 2 fucked up the lore way more than any other Fallout game(besides Brotherhood of Steel on the XBox/PS2) could. There's a ton of direct contradictions to both Fallout 1 and the original Fallout lore bible as it existed at that time in Fallout 2. It's almost comical. Never mind the fact that Bethesda owns Fallout completely. What ever they say is canon, is what's canon, and too bad if you don't like it.

It's questionably canon, but I think he said once he was looking into it. His Fallout 2 videos took a long time because he couldn't get it to run and be recorded on his system; Tactics could be a similar story.

@@luisrodrigoherrera Significant parts of fallout tactics IS canon. The parts that isn't are the Supermutant sterility cure and the Vault 0 AI and some other parts probably isn't.

@@TristenSarelvun he's using the steam versions, for whatever reason, instead of the GOG version, which runs perfectly fine with no tinkering on any system. Hell, it works perfectly on Linux under Wine! They're cheap, so I don't get why, other than just not knowing there's a significant difference, he didn't just buy the GOG versions to save him the trouble. Surely all that time working out the problems would have been worth more than the cost of buying them on GOG and not having any issues. I got them on GOG years ago when they gave them away for free.

@@luisrodrigoherrera dude, google "Fallout Tactics canon" and the first link, to the Fallout Wiki, will tell you quite plainly that significant parts are canon, and some events in Tactics are referred to in both Fallout 3 and 4. Explain how that's possible if they're "no canon".

Sure. Mine would be a place where the Enclave thrived and all the lore falls over itself to make them untouchable like it does with the NCR.

@Randomly Entertaining I did something similar for a Fallout RP I GM’d a few years ago. One where the Enclave outpost in IL had expanded over time. Since they were mostly Scientists and their families, a civilian government was former and the Speaker became the acting head of state. Too few in number, they reached out to other communities for trade in exchange for services/technical expertise. Slowly ingratiating themselves, but still kept their Enclave origins a secret. By this point the Midwestern BOS had already fallen. Splintering into various smaller chapters/raiders groups. The RP focused around one of the few acting military units they hadn’t shelved named Phoenix Squad. Players were mostly human, except for one Robodog named B4-RK... god bless his unquestioning loyalty and laser eye upgrade. Single handedly saved all of America, and did it for the treats and tummy rubs.

I'd personally have them be the only spot where the enclave actually built itself up successfully. No chosen ones, no Lone Wanderers, have the city of Chicago be the last holdout of pre war america, and whatever that brings, maybe make them the "good guys" of such a fallout game, like the NCR were in New Vegas, not a good option but one that you can make the argument for being the best available. Maybe have the other major power be... I dunno, migratory canadians intent on bringing glory to the british empire, but all they have to go on is american revolutionary war museums.

Yuji Silva I think we may get a fallout 5 hopefully near the end of the decade. Since Bethesda’s next game is Starfield, the Elser Scrolls VI, and maybe a Starfield 2. Fallout is on the back burner for the time

After watching the entire playlist story of Fallout 2. I realized that your character make sense and I like the background story you created for your Courier character too.

Of course the battle itself is underwhelming, but what makes it work is that the game has spent so much time examining what this battle means for all the sides involved. And for that reason, it's exciting.

@Jeff Frye I love a lot of the changes Bethesda did with Fallout. Mostly small gameplay changes, like weapon modding, and the perk system. But story/character/atmosphere wise, there's no contest. Bethesda doesn't know Fallout, and that much was apparent in Fallout 4. I still play New Vegas to this day for the intriguing story/characters. I haven't played Fallout 4 since the DLC dropped. It's just not fun, or interesting enough, and I've tried to play it multiple times. And don't even get me started on 76. If this is doing them justice, then I'd hate to see Bethesda try and deface Fallout.

@@Nova7_the_insane autumn and the real Enclave desperately wanted to stop Eden from wiping out humanity, their efforts were made more difficult however when they found out how much control Eden had over robots and things. Anything that was not manually run by PEOPLE could not be trusted. It's the same reason that Autumn wanted control of Project Purity. That was the only way he could be sure that The Lone Wanderer would not put the FEV in the water.

I agree. I played Fallout new vegas and watched the gameplay of Fallout 3. But never truly went into depth on the lore until I started watching his RU-vid channel videos on Fallout.
