love that you kept in parts where you made a mistake. shows that you don't have to do everything 100% perfect and its ok to take things slow 👍 great vid :)
I actually like that your run is scuffed. Shows that persistence and problem solving are more important than hitting everything perfect all in one go. 11/10 realism!
A couple of things to note. Rotation is grenades, d breath, fusion, two ignites, then repeat. Prefire grenades at boss while getting totems. Also keep big orbs on floor before popping well. The faster you get eyeballs the more time you have to get totems. Takes 7-8 secs per totem. For second boss use back two totems first because ammo primarily drops front two.
@@Basically_Veggies If you have the artifact on that let's you create orbs when close to super on ability kill it still works even when you have well fully charged. The ability kills will spawn 3 larger orbs of light which gives more super energy.
if you are looking to do this during season of the wish i got a couple thing for you. -make sure you melee ability or grenade any boss before shooting it, because revitalising blast weakens them and significantly helps your damage, additionally space your melee and grenades out because you dont want to waste your weakens all at once -if you're interested, you can use slice instead of overflow on the scatter signal. because using the "torch" artifact perk makes it so shooting a strand debuffed target makes them take more damage while you are radiant. so if you run out of weakens you have an extra damage bonus up your sleeve for just using your class ability, since you are practically always radiant this season -if you are having trouble controlling ads during damage, dont forget dragons breath leaves a line of fire when you shoot it, so orient yourself so the ads are between you and the boss. when you shoot your dragons breath the fire line will kill ads and let you concentrate on your rotation
Matics love your work! Your really explain the gameplay where anyone can understand it . Quick note the boss wasnt burning where you were locking him up. It was the new launcher it leaves a trail that builds up the longer you dont use it but it will burn u as well. So just step to the side lol
if your dive hits a enemy and you get a scorch explosion it will give resto x2 at like 12 secs as long as you have heat rises so eat nade snap then dive on top of enemy
I think you have to kill them with that ability though? the problem with that method is if the snap kills them you get nothing. then you need to get that kill quick with solar weapon.
at the start of DPS when your apex predator has two rockets in it, the reconstruction timer starts when you fire the first of the two shots. this is likely why you saw sometimes 2, sometimes 3 fusions per rocket. so optimal pattern is probably start with 2x rocket 2x fusion, then repeat 1x rocket 3x fusion.
Great video!! Picked up a lot of tips! I noticed you didn’t focus on grenading the boss a lot to apply the weaken effect. Was that intentional? Or just forgot? Want to know if I should be saving them for something specific during dps.
I feel like Dawn Chorus is a much easier way to go about it. More scorch = more ignitions for faster reload with Dragons Breath. You can also use the fragment that gives class energy when you scorch, which pretty much gives you infinite rifts. Much easier, and safer since you don't have to worry about the Sunbracers rotation.
I don't think the rifts are as strong as restoX2? If so also Karnstein this season is a good alt you just need a finisher to proc restoX2... add a few mods for super finishers and you are pretty tanky
No scorch buildup isn't the important part. If you pre throw grenades before finishing the second totem it will easily beat out dawn chorus. The rotation is dragons breath, swap to fusion, see two ignitions, and repeat. I have two phased him doing this. Also the survivability of sunbracers as well as ad control is unbeatable.
I'm not saying Dawn Chorus is better, just much easier for people (like Mactics himself as he says in the video) that might not be comfortable with the Sunbracers rotation and managing all that. Dawn Chorus is quite literally just shooting Dragons Breath, then keep shooting with a solar weapon until Breath reloads, and then shoot again. All while you have permanent healing from rifts (and resto x2 if you use a healing grenade). They are both good, but if we're talking ease of use then Dawn Chorus is by far the better choice imo.
I’m pretty sure you can consume your grenade for heat rises after you’ve procced sunbracers if you didn’t have grenade to consume. So loop is: snap kill for sb proc. Consume nade for heat rises. Phoenix dive to kill already scorched enemies. Phoenix dive kills count as melee kills if the original scorch was applied with melee. The melee procs torches(radiant) and singeing(300% class ability regen while scorching). Radiant procs artifact mod that causes ignitions and scorch to unscorched enemies.
Love you build vids! I absolutely rely on them. I notice you have Artifice chest, legs and class armor. I have none so I was wondering what is in your second mod slot on those pieces? It looks like concussive dampener but it's not. Besides that mod isn't available for legs or class item. Could you explain? Thanks again!
I remember when i first saw these kinda titles, it gave me hope.. but then i realized i just don't have brain capacity to track 4 different timers, buffs, debuffs, slay adds at the same time and do dps
I used the same load out just swapped out calus for Epochal Integration and riptide with chill clip and auto reloader. Works well too. Great video. Leaving in the mistakes definitely makes average players feel it’s possible! 🔥🙏
I have the perfect scatter signal and still can't drop riptide with chill clip - its just so good. However I think if you ran severing on your artifact this seasons fusion may be stronger.
@@joecanada777wellllll maybe but there’s also the two stasis perks that amp up shatters by a lot and those probably hit way better since you can use the extra 5% buff too from artifact which is kinda crazy.
OK it’s gonna sound crazy but if you’re struggling especially at the boss. Believe it or not the easiest thing is doing the karnstein build and using Vex Mythoclass. Yes VEX. Just make sure you switch one of the aspects around to have you get radiant when you do a powered mele. Vex clears out the boss area better than sun shot. Yes sun shot can clear the ads a little easier but when you factor in the taking blights which take 4 hand cannon shots along with the the two witches and the big guys who Spond it’s not even a contest. And you don’t need to use the linear fusion shot you can just use plain old VAX get kills with them and they absolutely destroy the ads the blights and the big guys. Also there’s an artifact mad that you get ignitions with head shots when you’re radiant. It’s pretty easy to do with vex so as long as you have radiant always up you can essentially turn any gun into a sun shot and you will literally always be radiant. I used a sniper and a rocket to go with it. Started every dps with 3 vex liniar shots. There were a couple runs I was able to do it quicker but this was by far the safest and easiest.
The catalyst shouldn’t change DPS on Dragon’s Breath. It speeds up the timer on your static charge to x5, and it apparently extends the scorch duration on rockets. But you’ll still proc ignitions at the same intervals.

Thoughts on Karnstein Armlets? I wanna use sunbracers but my rng keeps giving me terrible rolls. I really like how Karnsteins give you multiple sources to proc restoration and cure
I use the same build and I feel like an easier combo to keep your restoration is to eat the nade, then jump and melee an enemy and phoenix dive as soon as you melee. This will refresh restoration and its even better if you phoenix dive into the enemies as sometimes the scorch applied by your melee and phoenix dive will ignite and refresh your restoration even easier.
This video is great content, it falls along the lines of "if I can do it...(so can you)" and you really can, because that rocket launcher and the fusion are from this season and you can get ammit for incandescent easy peasy and fail forward with a good solar restoration build!
I was a hunter main for years before switching to warlock. Been playing warlock for just about a year now and you literally just made the phoenix dive restoration loop click in my head 😂
As a player who came in during lightfall ive always appreciated and been so impressed by your content. Been focusing on really starting to get some solo flawless dungeons now that i have an arsenal built up. I love you kept in your mistakes. Like even the small stuff like not reloading the rocket, I beat myself up too much for that kinda thing lol. Like dude it's fine. If mactics makes that mistake every now and then, then you can too. Thanks for all you do!
Gotta say, I feel sorry for you. Sure many QoL changes have happened over years but as an expansion, Lightfall is one of the worst :D Glad you still stuck around and are enjoying the game!
When it comes to using sunbracers id actually recommend using them more like your ad clear primary. At least for now one of the artifact mods gives 3 full orbs of light occasionally when you kill with an ability while over 85-90% super energy but it works while full. Plus 5 solar grenades will always outclass any weapon for ad clear potential
the problem to this is what people refer to as the 'juggler' mechanic for ammo. You get heavy a lot easier using a weapon then you do with using abilities, even easier when using exotic primairies
@@isaacfuqua7434 thankfully dragons breath is really ammo efficient and special drops are plentiful. also with the exception of the first boss all dungeon bosses don’t have a time limit to start damage.
@@MrForce961 dragons breath is incredibly ammo efficient and even when using abilities special ammo drops are honestly a little ridiculously common. Rarely do I run out of ammo
Honestly I felt like the Sunbracers build was too much management when you're worried about so many other things in the dungeon and it's definitely a skill issue for me (although I have multiple solo flawless runs on other dungeons), but I found the Karnstein build after the rework much easier to maintain.
do you think sunbracers and well are better than dawn chorus and daybreak? you can still get resto X2 if run healing grenade with dawn chorus and swap pheonix dive for healing rift
Well is a much better panic super which is always nice in a solo flaw run. sunbracer is also way more on demand adclear. dive is also a better panic tool to rift considering the high amounts of burst dmg that is present in final.
Watching this hurt my soul because my fireteam took like 8 phases to kill the second encounter boss because my teammates were either using dmt for dps and not their heavy weapon or they were running double primary and not using their heavy weapon
You can just sit on right side and keep spawning eyes on the right without killing just hang out by the fire you don’t need to move it is way faster kill just use scout for eyes and take out sniper’s after you get all orbs
I see you’re using Lucent Blades, probably something you forgot to take off from something else, but as we saw two resistance mods were enough, I’d probably recommend Strand reserves in that third slot for the fusion rifle as you would run out of ammo at times. Also might as well throw a grenade at the bosses when a damage phase starts if you have one, as you don’t need to have a melee to throw your grenade out. I know it’s like a rythm to save the grenade for Sunbracers and if you need to activate Heat Rises, but in the damage phase, you’re topped up on that stuff anyway, and you’re not clearing ads, so might as well get more ignitions in for your Dragon’s Breath. I also saw a video of someone using Eremite in a DPS rotation with Dragon’s Breath, and it was very very effective. Could do better than this new fusion, but idk.
Anyone have any tips for levelling the artifact, Im waiting to do an attempt at solo flawless till I have solo operative but I'd like to get it sooner rather than later.
Can't stress enough what Mactics said about Dragons breath's stagger, it is so huge on the Ogre boss, the fact it's also great damage is just a cherry on top, but keeping that Ogre stunlocked is YUGE...BIGLY YUGE!
I just be terrible at this game cause I’ve tried doing this and died like 12 times lol but I don’t give up easy so I need to try this with this load out again sometime
I use warlocks alot but i find it abit hard to maintain the resto2 all the time i mean i know how to do it and i get it but it's like luck and sometimes runs out and hard to repeat the loop cause not having your class or some thing... Also the cage part sux for me most of the time Cant find one like it's not even there
I did some math comparing this fusion the high impacts (Eremite and Nox Perennial V with envious assassin and controlled burst), and I figured out that the high impacts do about 25% more dps and total damage per overfilled mag. Is there something I'm missing that makes this one better?
Idk where you got the dps numbers from but rapids is definitely the better dps frame. total dmg high impact will be better but that's only relevant if you constantly find yourself out of ammo During the dps phase. Which is pretty rare for this dungeon outside of unlucky 2nd encounters. also nox is much harder to get a godroll on than scatter signal.
i have no idea how you get so much damage off dragon's breath. i'm running the same build as you except I have slice on my scatter signal's left column to take advantage of the strand debuff damage buff on the mod, and have a masterworked dragon's breath. I get more dragon's breath procs, and extra damage from the artifact, and do like half the damage you do per phase.
Good luck on the solo flawless bro, be careful when using d breath the ignitions will kill you just like a lasting impression rocket does. Do not learn it the hard way
No. 100 resil should be the priority for every build on every class. Having a couple seconds of shorter cooldown is not as important as having the damage resistance.
