I'm visiting Copenhagen soon and gathering lots of inspiration from your video! Thanks for sharing :) I'm also tempted to just bring 2 primes, no zooms but my fear of missing out is going to pack the 20-70mm anyway.
An incredible city, I wish I had more time there. Thanks so much for watching the video, i'm glad it helped you. If you have the room defo take the 24-70 😁
Two prime Lenses for city/street/urban photography are great, I use also a prime wide angle Lens on one Camera and a short tele Lens on an other Camera, one Camera in my hand and the other in a small sling bag. I do vary which Lenses that I use depending on how, when and where I go, the prime Lenses that I can choose from are 14, 21, 24, 35, 55, 65, 85, 110 and 135mm.
Oh dear, visiting Copenhagen and have 7eleven coffee. Next time be sure to check out some real good coffeshops instead :-) … nice video though, its a cool place for photographers.
@@scott_howes I am really new to video making and learning from watching the "perspective" made by others. I am currently using 20-70 F4. For some video projects, it is enough, but 24 at F4 seems too "closed" after I was spoiled with 24-70 F2.8 GM Keep up the good job!
Nice photos that 24mm 1.4 produces, very phone-like but the editing makes it superior. Wonder if shooting in RAW on a phone would get you close, for photos at least, video doesn't compare obviously. I do find it very funny though that you call a 75x95mm 450g lens "small, discrete, light-weight". For me, a 60x50mm 200g lens would be small, discrete and leight-weight. :D
Shooting raw on a phone would certainly give you more freedom in post to push an image further. haha out of all my lenses the 24mm even though it comes in at 450g is the lightest lens I own
The photos were mostly shot on the 24mm but a couple were on the 85mm. The close ups of the buildings and the alleyway shots of the cyclists. I wanted this video to be more focused on the 24mm as I already filmed an in depth video into the 85mm from a day in Singapore. Thanks for your kind words I am stoked it made you want to visit 😬🙏🏼
Sometimes we over complicate things but taking to much gear right. I find it way more fun just using a single lens and having to think outside of the box 😊
New subscriber here. Nice film, and lovely shots. Question about the 24. Did you ever with you had a 20 instead? I love my 85, but my only other lens is the 24-105 and I sometimes wish I had a bit more at the wide end.
Hey Pedro, thanks for watching! I have a 16-35 GM as well, which I use for wider shots. I’m not really a fan of the distortion for anything under 20mm though.
Loved this video, great photo's i agree what you say about that 24! she is a beauty. but 85 for street for me all the way although i do like the challenge of the 24 now and again.
