An Exceptionally Addictive $10 Starship Building Strategy Roguelike - LONESTAR 

Every time I see or hear "Lonestar", I immediately hear Lord Helmet saying it in my head. Then I chuckle to myself thinking about Spaceballs quotes for the next several minutes. I'm cool with it.

I love the Cowboy Bebop inspired soundtrack.

I've started watching a few different videos of people trying to show off this game, and they always lose me in the first minute. You do a great job of showing off the games that you cover.

I love the disclaimer at the start, its honestly most games, but this isn't why we're watching you, don't worry about it.

The Quadrant ability at 19:41 sounds extremely useful. You start turn 1 with 2 more dice, and if you don’t use them you keep them next turn so there’s no downside. You could use it to get way more damage off

I love this game! By the way, Power and Strength are two different mechanics. Power gives Strength (equal to the amount of Power) to gun(s) affected at the start of a turn and it stays till the end of the fight. It also requires you to load an energy to get the effect - there are ways to circumvent that though(and always having Power as Strength active). Strength only stays for the current turn. The self destruction unit would have done nothing for you, since you had no Power in your setup. As example, in one of my latest runs I doubled one gun up to have over 50 Power with said device. Both Strength and Power can be scaled on their own, but they also can work very well in tandem.

I would probably call it a "Dice Builder". There have been a few of them in recent memory. Usually they are rolled in with Roguelites and Deckbuilders, but I am beginning to think they might be their own genre. This one closest resembles Dicey Dungeons. Your 9 hull slots and weight limit are your equipment inventory. 8:02 I think it is called a "Beam Struggle". Because they are struggling against each other. With energy beams. But here it is called "Stream Struggle". 18:15 Okay, Deidara.

Whoever made this game is in love with cowboy bebop.

As always, this is a terrific video! I also have ADHD and struggle with games like this, but you did a great job showcasing how it can still be fun, and this looks like an awesome game. Probably another instant splattercat to purchase pipeline for me!

This game is insane - 3 weeks to clear lvl 8 difficulty with all pilots, 30-90 min per run. Build variativity is insane. Shielder and Swapper ships have different unit roster, and different feeling. Pilots with their custom perks - VERY often that can do crazy combo. Bosses and enemies variety - every one has unique twist with unique arsenal, i was shoked by insane dev fantasy. Game already has big amount of content. TOTALLY WORTH IT!

I jumped into this game when it launched and love it, the only thing I really want now is more varied ship layouts, for example wide ships or long ships or other shapes, similar to the enemies you go up against. Would help vary up the different builds you put together.

There are a lot of games I love to play that I am not good at. I feel like this could be one of them.

Calls a ship "Octopus", makes it look like a Crab.

Been playing this on the Steam Deck (which works great, btw). Yeah, it could use more ships but it has a ton of pilot unlocks, who then have subtraits that are randomised and also unlockable. So a good amount of content to for an EA game. Text can be a bit small on the SD though.

I'm just saying there better be a Schwartz modular in this game...

Seems like a game I'd play quite a bit on the Steam Deck.

The weirdness of the game system gave me a slight StarCrawlers vibe. Same weird output changing perks that make digits mumbo jumbo

Looks fun, probably a good game to improve maths skills too. If they tagged it as educational they could probably sell it to parents that can't be bothered to teach their kids anything so that they can at least pass maths!

You can use orange energy in ANY slot, i see you loading only the same colored energy as the slots of gentle tap device.

You are wasting energy on a lane that is taking just 1 damage anyway because of metal coating, you could have used the energy elsewhere like main ingredient and leftover pieces or other tripower unit to prepare it for next turn. Its just a feedback, i am not mad. I like this video!
