I don't understand what makes this a 5 star hotel. Is it because management says it is? It doesn't look any nicer than any other hotel. I have been on 3 star cruise ships that have the same amenities. The story didn't go into why anyone would pay a minimum of 500 dollars per night. What is one getting for 500 dollars per night?
@@camposcreations2323 To be more clear. The news story was lacking. For some reason the story started with a human interest story about the manager. They showed few parts of the hotel and talked about free food and fitted uniforms for employees. Nothing about what makes this a 5 star hotel. I wanted the news story to "answer the questions".
Very fancy. I can't help but think this is a bad time to open a 5 star hotel in Minneapolis. Doesn't sound sustainable in this economy, I hope I'm wrong.
You are definitely wrong. Twin Cities unemployment is at a record low, and inflation doesn’t affect people at the upper middle to high income classes as it does the lower middle and down. This is a good move especially as some people are more inclined to a quasi staycation than traveling. I’m priced out but I can see it working out.
@@bate01071 The Twin Cities is THE place in America to be in right now. Why does no one think of us? I miss living here so much, I moved out recently and am even crying about leaving MN. I’m dreaming of moving back because it seems like the city’s at such a high point again, moving on from the riots.
@@nealjonmurphy are you saying people who live in st cloud or Cambridge don’t have culture? Wrong on both accounts by the way still in hennipen county unfortunately. Let me guess you’re one of “those people” who ignore the sky rocketing crime car jackings up 400%, murders one off a record number. And you probably justified the looting and riots and called them “mostly peaceful” as the precinct burned behind you. Businesses have left Minneapolis has a 25% vacancy rate down town when before joe got in it was near 90% occupied. Let me guess you’ll justify and ignore Minneapolises problems and say fine we didn’t want you. Keep calling people from outstate names and look down on them. Nothing but rocks and cows like your boy Timmy right?
OMG I left Minneapolis after George Floyd I moved east coast dam it was the worst mistake I made now I'm heading back in few months I will definitely go there can't wait I miss Minneapolis so much
@@Anthony-hu3rj I can stay at what everrrr hotel I want sorry that you are a broke bum you stay broke and I'ma woke My husband work three jobs I work two anything else you need to know broke boy 🤣🤣🤣
$500/night minimum and they got the most sterile uninteresting interior design and architecture I have ever seen. The Raddison Red is ugly but at least they showed some effort
I stayed at the Radisson Red while catching a concert at Target Center (mixed it up with The Armory) a couple weeks ago. Smaller, intimate but ciche... almost 90's like with better taste; and the staff was awesome. Would go there a hundred times before shelling out $500 a night for this corporate monstrosity.
@@gabe8138 Godsmack and 3 Days Grace at the Target Center. I'm a late 90's baby. Target centers always pretty good for concerts and we had a street fighter and Donkey Kong Country tournament downstairs at the Radisson before we went. Good times had by all.
For the neighborhood if you can’t afford the motel 8 suite in Minnesota, well there is a 5 star hotel now in Minnesota in your neighborhood starting 500-900$/night. Not sure what Minnesota has to offer for a Hotel like this. I remember students were afraid going to the campus, because of the crime rate there.
The "W" is better, just doesn't have marble counters and a swimming pool on a high floor. This 4seasons just feels like a place for rich folk to hide from the street folk while they're here on business.
The only thing I like about it is the hallways and the view. Minneapolis has seen a huge increase in violent crimes in the past two years. Murder, unfortunately, is a common crime in this city. People are moving out because of all the shootings every night.
Interesting decision to open a 5-star hotel in a city where 45% of the bars and restaurants are shut and where 6 of 9 Starbucks are closed since 2020. Where will all these patrons go? the bars close at 10 PM here in Minneapolis, mostly due to fear of crime and inability to attract workers who will do the job. I wish them well and hope this works out but I have doubts.
Currently live in Minneapolis, this is just… wrong. Multiple world class restaurants have just opened in the area - Billy Sushi, Owamni (not including the ones that already exist like Demi, Spoon and Stable, Bar La Graze, Black Sheep, etc.)Two newish food halls called The Galley and Graze with multiple bars and restaurants one each. Bars are open till 2am including a new rooftop bar above Nolos. Some of the best breweries, cideries and a new winery called Axebridge. Starbucks closing because they’re being outcompeted by local spots like Fairgrounds, Pennys, Frgmnt, Corner Coffee. North Loop and Minneapolis continues to be a gem in the Midwest with a growing population, great job market, one of the best park systems, and so so much to eat and drink.
The only difference between this hotel and every other hotel we have here in this state is the human DNA left behind might actually carry some value given the people who occupy these units are probably extremely wealthy business people.
@@censorshipisreal9370 nope just facts. Disappointed. They will try to lift up violent and ghetto locations along with making a 5 star hotel to be successful. You can only ride that line for just so long. You cannot help some people, if they don’t want of be helped. A persons with a successful mindset can lose $1 million dollars and earn it back. You give $1 million to the wrong person who hasn’t earned it, can be dangerous. But I hope it works for whatever they are trying to do. On the front of this hotel, they should have a sign that says we support Black Lives Matter. That was sarcasm. They are going in the wrong direction and only causing more problems.
Lol Minneapolis is a scary city , you can't even walk peacefully with your family after 6 pm unless you have a gun .. so whats the purpose of building a nice fancy Hotel .! waste of money ..
