@@Wee.low1 no where near getting ur card declined on the 30p sweets in co op😐 I had to walk back and put it back, genuinely considered running out the shop n taking it
Ibz man your hustle and grind is going to take you far in life. When that training contract comes through you'll be set and until then you've just got to keep doing what you're doing. Thank you for being so honest and for sharing! We're here to support you! likes, comments, ads, subscribes you name it 💪🏼
I’m sorry but it’s so refreshing and eye opening for someone with a platform to talk so openly and genuinely about this sort of thing! I’m only in my first year but already the debt is adding up- but it’s so so so good to realise that it’s a real thing, it happens and we can get through it- everything’s temporary man!!! It can only get better
I want to get away from my toxic family too. You really inspire me and give me so much confidence in my abilities and future prospects; we both come from underclass British Pakistani families; I grew up on free school meals, family lived off benefits, childhood was riddled with money woes, mum has serious mental health issues which also took a toll on me and halted my education for years, ect. Good luck with everything, Ibz. You're gonna kill it as a lawyer. As a first year llb law student, I would be honoured to, one day, work by your side as a practising lawyer. :)
@@melissatranfield4054 I want to become a human rights lawyer. It's my dream to study for my LLM at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Ibz you should make an amazon wishlist of any school supplies (textbooks etc) you need, groceries etc, i'm sure there's a bunch of people who want to help out with small contributions
I moved 300 miles away from home for the same reasons to go to uni and fully supported myself waking up at 4:30 to go clean urinals in the SU before classes every day... I love this video I’ve never seen anyone else who hustled and took risks like I did... I hope all your dreams come true x
Ibz, If you can, please record your Alevel sociology lessons, and put them online, charge for each viewing. This way you can make p's and I can have your tutoring
3rd year law school student, I’m broke broke overdraft broke, finished broke can’t buy a meal deal broke its mad, typing this from my I phone 5 broke...
DrinkWater! I did have one, but I had 8 exams last year and multiple coursework’s, also legal placements, I felt as if I was disregarding my degree, and the grades showed so I wanted to focus on studies more so I left my job...
I usually always watch ads on Videos of my favorite youtubers, you never know what it’s like behind the camera. Watching a 30 second-2 minute ad could do so much for them.
ibz we've always got your back, idc what people say, do as many ads as you need. you doing ads (which is free for us to look at) to fund your education and your future is completely different to some rich beauty guru doing ad after ad to fund their designer bag collection
As someone who had an issue with the message behind your last ad video, I would like to apologise. If I were in your situation, I would too prioritise being paid over being picky with brands and the content of sponsorship. It was easy to judge you without knowing the full story, and for that I am sorry. Thank you for taking fans' criticism seriously, but I think now that you've had the courage to talk about your situation, we will be more understanding. We truly want the best for you. Peace x
IBZ i just wanna say thank you so much for all of your youtube content!! i finished my a levels earlier this year, and despite being predicted BBC i ended up with A*A*A (i did sociology, psychology and english lang). i cannot thank u enough for showing me that hard work can pay off, and pushing the importance of doing well as someone who isn’t rich and is an ethnic minority. i used your revision videos to teach myself how to structure essays when my teachers weren’t trying to help me excel. your and various other “study tuber’s” videos literally helped me flip my grades upside down! so much luv for you❤️❤️ i’m applying to oxford for anthropology now 🤪
i. i didn’t apply to “good” (russel group) unis with my predicted grades. i got into a university, but on results day i decided to take a year out and reapply :)
Thank you for talking about this. I can sometimes get caught up in the fact that all my friends seem to have it so easy with money compared to me, they don't have to work, they can go home when things get tough, they can focus on the things they want to achieve. But you don't have any self pity when talking about your situation and you don't worry about anyone else and that's so inspiring ❤️
Going through first year of Alevels, currently not feeling my best and ngl I feel abit shit today but your motivation and drive should be something you should be proud of. Proud of you ibz❤️
As a single mother, who is homeschooling and doing a Law degree with an unsupportive family I understand this 100%. You should consider doing online tutoring too! I am sure many of your subscribers (including me) would pay for that! Or you could open a patreon for academic videos! Love you Ibz, you inspire me so much! Thanks for being so honest and real, a lot of people can relate.
Look honey, I ain't gonna skip a SINGLE AD because you've helped me so much, even if Im doing stem subjects. I'm glad you acknowledged people and their questions, but I want this queen to earn the coin SHE DESERVES 😤😤 and I'm sure many others think the same way!
ok nah, not being allowed to graduate bc you cant pay for rent, when many students go to uni in an attempt to leave living under or just above the poverty line.. that's disgusting, thats an issue with the system sorry this is what youve been going through, ibz, youre so inspirational and i really look up to you, so for you to have the transparency to talk about this is really admirable
As long as you get yourself out of the "broke" status then.... don't see any problem with the ads after all we've got to support you bro :)) i wish you all the very best this academic year !!! YOU R A LEGENDDD
You have always been real from day 1. Yo praying and rooting for you! from today and into the new decade, I watching all your ads and we finna get rich and act poor.
My man make a Patreon or something! I'd love to support you and you also don't have to feel like it's charity! But dude this hit me hard - I'm in a similar situation to you financially. I'm sorry your family isn't supportive, I live with my family and they're by and large alright but we're not doing well so I pay a lot of the bills and man it's tough to go to school while worrying about bills and tuition and all that. I made a couple decisions that also landed me in deep debt waters and I'm working on paying those back now. Good luck Ibz, your journey gives me strength for mine and I hope that you find the success you deserve!
I know, you know this already, but I just want to tell you again. You are an amazing teacher! I can’t thank you enough. I did my external degree in sociology and English lit. I didn’t have a teacher, no money to pay for online courses so I self studies and followed your strategies, tips and tricks and Passed well 👍 I’m ever so grateful for you. My prayers are with you. Xx
Literally can always count on you to be transparent about student life. This is the real shit behind may balls and formals and a big reality check on how I'm going to navigate life after Cambridge.
You're really such a big inspiration for me 💜 Im a first generation university student and currently struggeling to motivate myself to do anything. But just watching you reminds me to always try my best 💜
i was so relieved when you said 'i'm not doing a GoFundMe' and then went into all the privileges you sought with your own money that led you to this point. That insight often gets lost with people climbing the social mobility ladder; keep that insight!
Wow! Just wow. Coming out with the truth like that is not only difficult but at the same time - very inspiring. Won't be skipping your ads anytime soon Ibz. We all feel what you're going through Ibz - Keep Calm and Stay Strong! Much Respect!!
thank you for sharing and being so honest about personal finance ! stuff has happened and I'm not doing as well financially as I would have hoped but things will be okay !
Ibz I completely understand where you’re coming from. I’m 20 in uni and I don’t have family like I’m on my placement year, it is challenging sometimes to make ends meet at such a young age when you’re being paid the bare minimum but I know you’ll pull through. It’s gonna be okay just trust your journey 💜
Literally watching all the ads Becuaae you gtta support the hustle and ibz you’ve always been on it through out these years to give us great content! You deserve this x
It's understandable, you gotta pay your bills and support yourself 😊 I'm so proud of you. You've inspired me right from my first year and still working at trying to come away with a first 😅 I hope Law school treats you well you're so capable!
I'm going to be supporting you so much more this year and next as well. I will be watching all ad's, I understand where you're coming from. I've been working a long time too, GET YOUR MONEY BABES!!!
I just started law school too, baby!! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ Best of luck with your studies, and so glad to see you back, missed you!! 💋🤗🙌🏾 x P. S I really admire your courage and strength. Your energy is so infectious, all your hard work will pay off. Keep hustling🖤🔥
The realness in this is appreciated. Student life as an independent student is a hard hassle but get it. Quick question I have RU-vid premium do you still get ad revenue for my view ?
The fact is it’s difficult to stay motivated when you know you would have 8 thousand pounds to your name just by being privileged enough to be supported by a family able to pay your rent. That leaves you with 14 thousand pounds to live on over 3 years (baseline rent is 4.5 k per year for those families capable of supporting their children - given this is their choice of course). Compared to someone who has to live on 1.5 k supposedly after the average rent for the year is taken away from their loan (6k a year taken from a loan of around 7.5k) meaning that over those 3 years you’ve had 1.5 k per year to live on. That’s a difference of around 8 thousand pounds across three years. You’d be 8 thousand pounds richer at the end of your university course, if you were lucky enough to be supported in this way. Something needs to change, the gradient isn’t working.
It would take 1000 of us to donate £15 quid each to help him clear his debt. I’m happy to be the first to donate. Your content has been inspiring and it’s the LEAST I can do for you.
I find it quite incomprehensible how someone can truly be broke if they have an income source, spend in-excessively and what you know you can afford, taking out loans from the bank sets you up to be in severe debt in the future, this is why people stay within an unprivileged situation.
