Finally have a chance to watch, here we go 😎 Oh I thought you had watched the anime already 😂 Well, North Ambria is interesting, but the war is not lol Very nice first pull, most of the tank characters suck but Laura and Sigmund don't because they can revive/invincible Yeah as I said before, it's mainly the old style or derivative work gacha games that try and confuse you with many menus and ways to buy stuff, the newer original ones (like Star Rail of course) get much more profit by doing drip marketing for their new characters than by actually tricking you OMG why does Wazy do that animation when you pull him LMAOOOO Elie isn't a great healer she's more for charming enemies, I believe Alfin is the only one who has solid numbers (plus her decoys, one of the best units in the game) Very nice review, I completely agree I say "it's super addictive until you get stuck, then it sucks" And for real, a Trails gacha can totally work if done well!

I tried to play this myself but couldn't make myself to continue past the tutorial😂. But hey, I would definitely watch you play through it😊.

It’s weird they have a mobile game when Trails at Sunrise was never localized and I read the server was shutdown.

I once played a Gacha that had a similar system to that 'Infinite Gacha' that was there, only it was something like 'You can do 10 free 10-pulls on this banner, but you only get to pick and keep one of them', but that one allowed you to keep the pull for free! I guess here since it's infinite you can technically keep spamming it until you get like a god roll with a bunch of SSRs...but that's not worth 21 dollars! But yeah everything here is pretty much as expected, it's just half-baked experience in all the ways. With Daybreak coming out in less than a month, this game will pretty much lose any remaining discussion it has, if it hasn't lost it already. Honestly I don't think this game is even going to last to the first anniversary.

I think Laura is an automatic first draw in this game. I've seen multiple playthroughs and each one starts with pulling Laura.

I really think they could have made this decent for a mobile game. Something like a hybrid between Star Rail and Trails, flesh out a completely unique story that has you doing bracer stuff in North Ambria and the surrounding regions and building the world up, have a new unique cast and have a few familiar characters for some big hype moments in the story. Putting in all the characters as a 1:1 rip from different Trails that have no place being there is just dumb. As this is, it just looks like it didn't get a fraction of the development or effort that it needed.

Finally had time to watch this! This is the most I've ever seen of a gacha game and I am truly baffled by the prices. I can't imagine why anyone would want to spend that money for such a mediocre and cheap game, and it's so predatory. I'm still surprised they bothered to localize it (they put in the minimum effort, but still). Weight loss Walter is hilarious. His Japanese nickname is 痩せ狼, which is literally "to lose weight + wolf." It's probably supposed to mean slim wolf, but I'm honestly not sure. If you google the nickname, you only get Walter in the results. They probably changed it to Direwolf because a literal translation of the nickname in English sounds really lame. But whoever translated this just ignored the "wolf" part entirely and made it Weight Loss Walter lol. They have some cool alliteration going on at least. I guess. The Ernest pose had me dying lol. Has he spent his time in prison writing a rap album? Falcom and whoever made this game were determined not to write any new music, huh. They did the same thing in the anime, where most of the music they use it taken straight from the games. It's pretty awkward because the music feels way too busy for that medium.

It's pretty telling that they just wholesale dragged the" fire > wind > earth > water > fire & light/dark both being strong against each other" elemental system of hundreds of generic rpgs they no doubt previously made, and substituted the Trails elemental names in-thus completely omitting mirage.

Oh boy it begins. So I guess to clarify on some things. The game has you passively gain resources on the main menu, collected by the chest. The Claim beside it is for the "rush" feature. Which will give you 2 hours of resources right away, besides the 1 free claim per day they have it to where you can whale on that to get more resources fast. As you saw the "dream summon" lets you reroll for a multi you want and then makes you buy it. I mainly just rerolled there to see everyone's summon animation There is a few banners. The standard banner (which use standard tickets), Memories Under The Sky appears to be a starter banner for a limited time after you start. Altina's banner is limited and she is the first Limited character (uses special blue tickets obtainable in the event shop), then the elemental focus banner that rotates daily and uses special rainbow tickets for it, then the friendpoint banner. And the crystal currency can be used on anything except the friendpoint and Dream pull banner. Of course there is also a premium currency of the crystals only obtained by buying it. As you saw the game has a lot of free stuff but also has paid variants for you to get more. This is a common tactic (as well as the dream multi and sometimes the passive resource gain though not always) in more low effort gacha games to try and milk a lot of money out of its playerbase. The 7 day contract is 7 day of mission which give you stuff and at the end a costume for Tita. Beginner Draw is similar but 100 draw in total by the end. The pay for bonuse thing isn't too standard among most of the better gachas. You can rank up VIP just by playing more FTP. I play a fair amount of gachas, Fire Emblem Heroes (since day 1), Fate Grand Order (both NA and JP servers), Granblue Fantasy, Blue Archive, Arknights, Nikke, Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail, and used to play Azur Lane. Most of those have a stamina system instead of the passive resource gain, though Nikke is passive resource gain but done much better imo and Arknights has stamina in addition to some passive resources your characters produce. But yeah this is the lowest budget and money hungry one out of all the ones I play.

I played it for a while, but I decided to drop it since I'm behind in the Trails stories and I want to avoid spoilers. (Currently only finished the Sky trilogy and Cold Steel 1; I only have a vague knowledge of what happens in the Crossbell games, but I plan to play those next).

Anyways timekeeping is why I can't enjoy gacha. I'm the kind of guy who enjoys nolifing a game like crazy for a day or a week then trying out something else. But with gacha you can only play like 1h per day at most and then you have to wait for timers and resets. And what if I don't feel like player the day after ? Well no luck, I gotta be stuck with the feeling of lagging behind. And it's not fun. But yeah I agree that a Trails gacha could have potential, like Reverie has some gacha elements and they don't feel too out of place. So if they expanded on this system and made a full gacha game out of it I wouldn't have minded. But this one definitely not looks very good. I guess I could try it if I'm really bored someday. But I prolly won't. P.S. Nice to see a fellow Rimworld enjoyer (even though it's the kind of game where I spend more time fine tuning my 200 mod playset rather than actually playing the game xD)

Also 45:09 Look at that, omg It's been almost 2 weeks and people haven't beaten the story mode yet (spoiler alert, when I looked on JP server they had 10 more chapters that people hadn't gotten far in) That just shows how P2W it is, SnakeEye cleared Chapter 27 like almost a week ago I think

The power scaling is insane. I'm on chapter 10 and it's at 1200k for the average enemy, while my team is barely in the mid 700k. Definitely not F2P friendly. They do give you a lot of free characters, which is cool though.

I'm just thrown off by returning characters having their time skip designs instead of what they would have looked like during the setting of this game. I mean, some of these characters were in the crossbell games, so we already know what they looked like between Cold Steel 2 and 3. That alone makes it too distracting for me to play 😅

I am glad I do not play gacha games. But especially for trails, I would rather play the regular games. Like Crossbell and Cold Steel. I actually played FEH for a little bit but that game just has way too big of a power creep and I am not willing to play this game for 2 hours everyday. I want to play on my time and my terms. This is why live service games suck. Although I never played those. But I have no desire to ever do that. I just stick to my regular RPGs and stuff.
