I can't believe people still don't "get" this show.. It's all about getting an insular unadventurous person that is set in their ways out of their environment, routine, and comfort zone, by placing him totally into another culture; to experience new situations and whatever is thrown at him for comedy value. It's also to give him a bit of a learning experience to document in only the unique way that Karl can, for our own entertainment. Who cares if he can't eat "toad", he's not meant to.
ahem, this show, made Gervis look like likc a piece of garbage asshole that he is, and Made Karl shine out as the better man, is what it done, anyone who gets off on makign another suffer, is a piece of shit in everyones book
haha love how they are trying to shove it in his face. He tells the truth though, I can remember so many times where I accept people offering to cook me food when I really dont want it because I dont know what they are gonna cook.
The only time I can actually relate to Karl's feelings...I´m really crappy for food, anything outside my menu, just irks me just as much as it disgusted Karl..Granted, why the fuck would anyone eat some of the stuff that they eat..Toads sounds pretty ok compared to other stuff they made him eat...

Cracks me up how he gags before eating the Toad. I had the same problem in Japan when invited to lunch at an expensive restaurant. Unimaginable inedible raw slimy food. Gagged my way all through that meal with my eyes watering. If I’d had a gun on me, I’d have shot myself🤢
I get it, I like Karl and am fascinated (if its real) by his particular cognitive mutation and some of his silly rants are interesting as well as funny. You would just think an oddball like him that loves reading about freaky stuff, been on holiday all over and is close to france where people eat frogs, it wouldnt be so hard. They sell frogs legs at coney island nathans for gods sake, its so just not wierd. Not to mention they dont taste strange even for a brit..
