Ricky getting up at the end screeching like a bird holding his stomach while Karl is sitting there re-living his altercations with his neighbours over bins is one of the funniest things I have ever seen.

I thought this would be an educational video and I watched it seriously for 40 seconds and then I realised I know enough English to enjoy this masterpiece.

This is perfect. Ricky knows exactly what to say to disorient Karl. It's unfortunate because if you listen to any of their conversations you can tell that Karl is obviously intelligent and has no patience for any bullshit. It comes out so well with 100% unintentional comedy. It's hilarious to those of us who think the same but are too obedient to say what we're thinking. Gotta love him.

As a German, I had huge success with „You smell, you shit?“ over there in Britain. Enhanced our lovely friendship to the max.

The best thing about this, is the fact that gervais knows this isn't a real language documentary. But he also knows that KP actually does think it is.

Ok, to those saying "Karl is not playing, that's just him being himself", you are only partially right. While he is just being natural most of the time, when Ricky forces the role upon him, his ability to improvise and keep the straight face while doing it is what I find hilarious in this particular video. Like he instantly transforms into the role he is given. He is obviously the strange individual, but I'd also say a natural born comedian. Doesn't need to try hard being funny, he just is.
