An Important Message: Dax - To Be A Man 

This song hits me hard. I'm a fourth of five generations of vets. I have TBI and PTSD. I was homeless for three years and now exist alone under a homeless program for vets. I fight the battle within everyday and i dont have respect with the VA and their shoving pills that will only make it worse. Love your reactions.

The first time I heard this song, I cried also. It really hits home with me and most good men. A true man knows his duties and feels he never really accomplishes those duties, but always tries.

30 years on, and I still flinch on the 4th of July. It's easier when I'm outside, but when I'm wrapped up in writing, I sometimes forget what day it is, and it can sound like something "interesting" is happening from within my office....As to showing emotion, men are in a Catch-22: If you don't display emotion and hold it in, then you're "emotionally remote" and "toxic"...OTOH, if you DO show emotion, then you're weak, worthless and a failure as a "manly man". That's not a "man thing", that's a "society thing". If those are my choices, "Remote" works better. Also -- V.A. Delenda Est

This song is amazing, and the mega remix hits even harder. Most women are very empathetic, but they focus that on other women or children. Unfortunately real men usually get pushed to the back burner or used for what they have, very few men can boast that they are taken care of. They work tirelessly to provide for women that don’t seem to appreciate it, luckily I found one to help me be a better person despite my stubbornness. Sorry I’m rambling on my soapbox…. Just kidding. Seriously though looking forward to the next one 😊

Thank you so much for sharing what goes on behind the scenes in Wonderland. I hope I am not being to overly optimistic, but it might only be a few more months that we are going to have to endure this clown show of an administration. There is a correction that is coming and things are going to be way different. Health care is going to not be about return customers but actually getting everything fixed the first time, amidst other changes coming. Commenting on one of your earlier Tom reactions, I was going to suggest a song or two by DAX, but it seemed like you had a lot going on. Reacting to his category of songs that begin with (DEAR) are especially hard hitting. Thank you for the great reaction!

Dax is a side shoot from the Tom Macdonald rabbit hole... They have a song together that is worth checking out. I was raised "Get up your okay" I'm glad I wasn't raised any other way. I was taught what a man does, stand up for what is right even if it might go sideways, you do what must be done that's your roll.

Hope your son is okay and tell him he's not alone. My brother was stationed in Afghanistan and we had a similar experience when we went over my uncles house. He was hunting on his property and when he heard the gunshot, he dropped just like you said your kid did. There was a small silver lining though. My relationship with my brother before he went was strained. When he got back, I was the only one that seemed to treat him like the human being he is instead of a trophy to be proud of for the family. I heard someone ask him if he killed anyone and I immediately wanted to punch them in the face. I think he gravitated towards me because when he got home, I shook his hand and gave him a hug and told him i'm so glad you're back. Ever since that, we've been brothers and good friends on top of it.

This is in regard to your Dad ... PTSD is cruel! I have it, and was told there is no magic pill to get rid of it. It's something you need to learn to live with it. From what you said he was so lucky to have you in his life, but unfortunate for you as a child to have that responsibility. You're a wise, and compassionate person Alice from what I've seen so far. After seeing your ( I tried to react to Dax ) video I had a feeling you would do this song justice I served 11yr in the Army 99-07 and 09-12 3 deployments in the sandbox and am now currently homeless here in Miami Believe it or not you son is one of the lucky ones. Just because your not bleeding don't mean you ain't been hit Our Veteran rate of suicide is crazy. For some of us we might have made it back but never truly make it home

I'm a disabled veteran who spent 3 years in Iraq and Afghanistan. I have blown out vertebrae because of my service, I was an 88M, and my ex just left me after 15 years together because she thinks "it's all in my head" and I should have gone out and got a job. I also have Essential Tremor Disorder which is a precursor to Parkinson's. I get zero help from the VA because my records were tampered with. So yeah this song hit's deep with me.

As for this song, it hits hard in the feels because he shined a light on how our society treats Men and how they try to live with hiding themselves. So thank you for this reaction!!! My oldest Son used to tell me everything including things I really didn't want to know. Sometimes ignorance is bliss lol. When he turned 18 his friends were taking him to a strip club and he called to tell me, his friends were freaking because they all lied to their Moms. I had my Son put his best friend on the phone and I told him to buy my Son a lap dance lol, all I heard was his friend say "Your Mom is so cool" lmao. Sadly my Son is now in his 30s and he holds everything inside. I will ask how is everything going and I get "Fine, just living the dream" To all the Men out there, please take care of yourselves and know you are appreciated 💞

As an army vet I will say you are 100% correct the VA is garbage and most of the therapist they send you to are only there doe that check. I hope your son finds his peace. Mine was simple strumming on a guitar or banjo and doing woodwork. I'm only 39 but much respect to your husband and son.

Wow, same here..no overt display of emotion in my house growing up except for my father’s house smashing, kid stomping anger. He’s 90 years old now and still a prick to everyone including my 87 year old mom who has dementia. Don’t want to go off on a rant, so..end of story 😮#hog

This is an amazing song. And you did better than me I think I cried the first 25 or 30 times I heard it and every other time after that. I think the difference in suicide rates between America and like the tribes in Africa, in other countries, is the gender role is very specific, and it’s really the way God intended it to be. The men there no, they are the providers. He women and kids respect women for the things they do for them. The women do their part and they don’t question it and call it toxic masculinity. They don’t complain that they don’t have the biggest hut. There’s no overly saturated material possessions around them, so there’s no pressure to feel like you have to have to figure out how to provide these sometimes useful that most of the time, useless material things. And they know as a man with a have to do, and they respected for it and they don’t have anybody constantly sending them or putting them down or trying to tell them to be less masculine and more feminine, they have more pride in themselves, knowing that they’re doing, but they need to do to be a man. I know that their wives are not going to run away with the poor boy or start looking around that are options win for expectations are not met. And it’s asking and Dr. Mlbtt here and having our first world problems that we create ourselves, and we don’t realize what’s going on outside of our little bubble here in America. Make men masculine again Make women female again Make love of country and fellow man a priority again Make taking pride in what you do and for filling your role on earth and not looking for things to hate on or be upset about. Make loving your neighbor, as you love yourself a priority again Make being a good human being. A thing again Make common sense be as contagious as they say Covid was And for God sakes, leave the kids alone. Teach them their ABC’s and 123’s and leave out the LGBTQRS ++ too many spirits. weird I saw the last video. You lost a bet. A lot of content creator said their video got blocked, censored, and actually deleted in some countries. Dax even had problems originally researching the song and naming it because he had to change the wording because his searches where blocked or came up with some thing completely different than what he was searching for.
