hiiiii, I'm sophie a second year primary school teacher currently teaching in the North East of England.
This is a suuuuuper average week in the life of a whiney primary school teacher and if anything is probably a tad boring.

I really enjoyed this! Even the part where you talked about how you had to go to morrisons! I'm starting a PGCE in september so I'm loving these insights into what it's like to be a teacher, I'd love any other vlogs you make 😊

Thankyou for this! Please do more weekly vlogs☺️ I’m currently doing a PGCE at Durham uni and I’m loving it but it’s bloody tough. It’s so nice to see someone relatable and to know I’m not the only person who finds it super, super overwhelming at times! X

Hiya I’m thinking of becoming a primary teacher myself and I’m doing a bit of research for it all and I was just wondering, do teachers get to say what year group they would prefer to teach? So when I become a NQT and I get my own official class, could I say what year I would appreciate teaching for my first year or do they just give me whatever class?💕

Kalia Zdravkovic a specific year group may be advertised that you can apply for. But a lot of the time you will just state your preference, but it isn’t guaranteed that you’ll get that year group :)

You can apply for specific jobs at interview then if you'd like to move year groups at the academic year you can state your preference. This is how I moved from KS2 to KS1 this year!
