I know I didn't go super in-detail about any of the territories aside from Parsenn Bowl in this video, so if there's anything specific you'd like to know about any of the other territories in this video, or just any of them in general, put those questions down here!

Just wanted to thank you for the local’s knowledge. I’m planning to visit WP this season and am glad to have found this.

Excellent summary! Thank goodness they replaced the old Sunnyside lift. The old one used to get so backed up. I’ve made it to Lunch Rock from the top of the bowl, but yeah you need a lot of speed😂and still involves some climbing. You actually used to be able to get to Eagle Wind from the top of Pio by skiing through the trees. Maybe that’s why people think they can. It was fun but I think they closed it off because it’s like a sensitive wildlife habitat or something. I never knew what Belle Forche translated to. That was a fun fact!

You definitely can get to Eagle Wind from the top of Vasquez Ridge (at least as of 2023 season when I did it a couple times) if you go through the gate going straight off the top of the Pioneer lift. While the terrain is open to skiing, the gate warns that it is NOT REGULARLY PATROLLED so you will do so AT YOUR OWN RISK. Always go with a buddy if you do this. I did encounter a few more natural hazards than normal here, but I would say it is not any more difficult than most of the Eagle Wind territory terrain and is a GREAT shortcut when the lines at Pioneer and High Lonesome get super long.

Oh interesting. Back when I made this video, it was marked as completely closed, which was how it had been for as long as I could remember. I even remember a day when a patroller was standing there yelling at anyone who attempted to duck the rope. I wonder if it opened alongside the reopening of Jelly Roll.

Can you really not get to Eagle Wind from Upper Egress??
@SRGSkiing
@SRGSkiing 2 года назад
You can. Because most of the Eagle Wind trails end up on Upper Egress, this is how you lap Eagle Wind.

Tin Horn and Wagon Train aren’t _that_ flat, not as flat as Big Valley in my experience.

That is true, but if I could I would avoid any pushing at all. I'm just throwing it out there, especially for boarders and those lower-level skiers who may be going a little bit slower coming into the trail
