This "interview" with Ross Martin was made by taking conversational parts of game shows and stringing them together. Clips are from Password, Tattletales, Password Plus, and Card Sharks.
One of the most multi-talented actors as he played violin, spoke various languages and studied law at the request of his family. And yet he decided to go his own way. Sadly, fencing and tennis didn't save him from several heart attacks. He would be 99 years-old in 2019.
I got to know Olavee Martin briefly back in the 90's. Met her through Richard Cangey, a regular stuntman and BG performer on WWW. I sent her some footage of Ross than she didn't have and she sent me a letter thanking me for it and enclosing some nice memories of Ross and how much he loved the fans.
@@rossmartinactor471 Not really. She just mentioned how Ross, whereever he was, always obliged the fans and indulged them. Always smiling and jovial. He even had a smile on his face when he passed away after having a tennis match.
Very cool compilation. Ross Martin was very intelligent, artistic, musical and humble. I really enjoyed him as Artie in the WWW. I think it was really cool that both Ross and Robert Conrad played bad guys on Columbo. I never saw his wife until this clip, but I just love how they answered all those questions correctly. There was not big feminist BS going on back then, just a wonderful marriage with 2 people being partners. I miss those days. He died pretty young, only 61 playing tennis. I remember hearing an interview saying he jogged. Very talented man.
Rosd Martin was a true Renaissance man and a fine actor. Nobody could have played the role of Artemus Gordon better in the Wild Wild West. He sadly died relatively young (61) of a heart attack in 1981 sfter playing tennis.
Ross passed away on July 3, 1981, suffered a fatal heart attack after a game of tennis at San Vincente Tennis Ranch, San Diego County Club of Ramona, California. That last clip from Nov 11, 1980 could have been one of his last appearances on TV
THE BEST SHOW IN THE HISTORY OF TELEVISION - "THE WILD WILD WEST" ROBERT CONRAD & ROSS MARTIN WERE LIKE HAND IN GLOVE. NOBODY COULD HAVE PLAYED JAMES WEST & ARTEMIS GORDON BETTER!! ROBERT CONRAD WAS JAMES WEST! ROSS MARTIN WAS ARTEMIS GORDON!
