can they bear the weight of snow and if not how can snow be removed from your polycarbonate roof? do roof melts work on this kind of roofs?

Sunnyside Clear Roofing Hi there, thanks for your question. It can hold over 200kg per m2 of roofing. The main thing is that the structure underneath can support it. Usually with snow prone areas you'll put the purlins at 600mm apart, or even closer depending on area. The steeper the better, so it can run off by itself. You'd need to check what the roof melts are made of, most are calcium chloride I think, which isn't suitable for polycarbonate. You may be able to get ones that are. Thanks, Kurt.

Hi Jesna, thanks for your comment. You can clean it with some warm soapy water and a soft sponge/cloth (not a brush with bristles as that will scratch it). Or you can use Wet'n Forget or 30 Seconds roof treatment suitable for polycarbonate. Thanks, Kurt.
