_Thank you Bill~I actually saw your comment about 2 years ago and i only remember cause i was scrolling through the few comments to find out if it was worth 45 mins of my life & you said it was, so i watched it. OMG, I am not exaggerating when i say this study has changed my life, the lives of my family members & others in my parish. I never could enjoy reading scripture but this complete study taught me how to read the Bible. I have gone through every Bible study on Nick's page at least 5 times. I downloaded each of them using the "𝐂𝐋𝐈𝐏𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐓𝐎𝐑" Add-on & i'm glad i did cause all his vid's were taken down for a long time but i could still share them with friends. I actually contacted him about how important they were to so many of us whose parish never put's on any sort of Bible study & he then re-posted them. So thank you Bill for directing me, as i might never have bothered to watch this, which led to me been so absolutely blown away by "𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐇𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲" & the history of Christianity. My family have been brought together through our faith, especially myself & my mam. We go to Mass on Saturday evenings with the kid's & we stroll along just yapping about the readings of the day. We have learned so much over the past couple of years & most importantly & most comforting in my life is my own prayer life. Also the understanding my family & i have of the Mass has totally changed how we worship God as opposed to simply "making it to Mass each week". Thank you for this youtube channel. I have shared it with my friends as I have recently seriously considered evangelisation and learning the scriptures. Could you please put videos on bible study lessons on other books in the new testament so that we catholics have access to easy way of understanding scriptures. This will bring more catholics to read and learn the scriptures.

Pompey the Great did not plunder the Temple; he merely looked into the Holy of Holies and saw that there was no image of God in there.

Mattathias Ben Johanan, father of Judas and Jonathan, was a Kohen (priest) and of the Tribe of Levi. You are mistaken that Jonathan was not a qualified Kohen Gadol (High Priest).

Very interesting lecture. I think it worth mentioning though that the deuterocanonical texts, while in the Septuagint, are not considered canonical in Judaism either.

Darius If you truly believed that, you would hardly spend your time watching videos on Catholic theology, having discussions with people that according to you are the seed of the father of lies and can't be saved.

hisredrighthand FYI: I was searching information on certain biblical time periods. Came across this one that looked better than the rest in the subject (looks can be deceiving of course). I stopped the video before the guy started his blasphemous prayer and commented to you ignorant comment. It's a public video and watch and post on the matter if I want too. I have facts and history to back up my statements. The Catholic Church are liars and deceivers. Truth hurts don't it? And yes you are seed of your father and will be called out for it!

Darius 1. I'm not a Catholic. But it still hurts when people smear the character of my Catholic brethren in Christ. 2. I don't even know the name of your religion. But it seems to promote antisemitism and the dehumanization of people based on the color of their skin. Correct me if I'm wrong. Otherwise I'd have to say that's sorta below the threshold of what merits further discussion in my books. _"I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive."_ (Romans 16:17f)

Darius There is no Septuagint version of New Testament texts. The Septuagint dates to the 3rd or 2nd century before Christ. But since even Paul referred to the Septuagint when he wrote his Epistles in Greek, he apparently didn't see any major problem with it. And IESVS is just the latin transliteration of the Aramaic name of Christ, just as Jesus is the English transliteration.

hisredrighthand excuse me it's in koine Greek. Paul, an Israelite, was an apostle to the gentiles and was roman citizen. Yet he knew the Messiahs name. "I come in my Fathers name". Iesvs translated in Hebrew means what?

It's funny to me how the greek period was called or is called the hellenistic period. And it was so influential that today we are deeply rooted in hellenistic culture. My question is why was it called the hellenistic empire... hell.... hellenistic?
@chelyfranco5037
@chelyfranco5037 4 года назад
The greeks in greek language called themselves hellenes from the country of hellas. The romans speaking latin called them "greek" in latin graikos and the saying stayed. Its like some native tribes in the USA or Canada that are know from the name the europeans gave them, like the Nez-Percés.

*Every single person that comes from the tribe of Judah is Jewish but not every Jew is from the tribe of Judah..A "righteous proselyte" is a gentile who has converted to Judaism, and is bound to all the doctrines and precepts of the Jewish religion, and is considered a full member of the Jewish people. If your of the tribe of Judah but not a believer, your still Jewish 100% . Every Christian can trace his religion back to Abraham but not every Abrahamic religion is Christian. Many broke away & so missed out on the Jewish faith evolving, not converting, into the Christian religion which is summed up perfectly by Peter & James~Repent & Be Baptised for the forgiveness of your sins..[Titus 3:5-10] "..he saved us..by the washing of regeneration and renewal in the Holy Spirit..so that we might be justified by his grace and become heirs in _hope_ of eternal life."

Appreciate the video. Really well made. Correction, please there is only God Holy Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit. Please do not add anything to the trinity belief. Thank you.

If your of the tribe of Judah but not a believer, your still Jewish, 100%. There are Religious Jews of every nationality & ethnic Jews. Around 926 b.c., the kingdom of Israel split in two. Up to that point, all twelve tribes of Israel (plus the priestly tribe of Levi) had been united under the monarchies of Saul, David, and Solomon. But when Solomon’s son Rehoboam ascended to the throne, the ten Northern tribes rebelled and seceded from the union. This left only two tribes-Judah and Benjamin (plus much of Levi)-under the control of the king in Jerusalem. From that time on, the tribes were divided into two nations, which came to be called the House of Israel (the Northern ten tribes) and the House of Judah (the Southern two tribes). This situation continued until around 723 B.C., when the Assyrians conquered the Northern kingdom.
