Your partner needs to calm down. Figure out what your script is regarding units counters or what they can fight before y'all do these so he doesn't cut you off while describing the T70.

The power of the Soviets in CoH2 comes from similar historical tactics, with very cheap units and reinforcement costs. if you trade a unit for a similar unit you will deplete enemy's resources faster. Conscripts are excellent infantry as you generally have 12 of them instead of 8 grenadiers. The battlefield is deadly and even the most experienced players forget about mines and there comes the 30 munitions engineer mines. Also engineers are maybe the weakest engineers but they are only 170 manpower. If you need to quickly capture buildings or area you can send in your engineers to garrison a building until a friendly comes to help. Also nearly all commanders have a special unit which are generally shock troops or guard troops. Shock troops have body armor (lol?) and receive much less suppression, AND can throw effective grenades (smoke and Frag) guards are a different story. While they are not OP by any means they come with 2 PTRS rifles. These are not panzershrecks enemy does not have to fear with their tigers. BUT a careless armored car can be easily destroyed with guards. They can purchase 2 LMGs for 75 munitions. With fully upgraded guards you have 2 rifles 2 LMGs which give around 6 rifle dps (I remember it being 6 but not sure) and 2 PTRS rifles. ALSO conscripts have one of the best abilities that many player forgets. They can build sandbags and these sandbags are the best. Why? because they can be used to decrease dmg from artillery and AT guns. How? there was a video showing it but when you play sandbags around your artillery or a base building some shells from enemy artillery will die short in the sandbags. With Soviets you cannot build bunkers but if you are very active on the battlefield you will be very effective for your team. Soviet is the most consistent allied faction, you have a pretty good chance of winning against anyone but you have to be aware of the game state as it is really hard for them to make a comeback after the second Axis medium tank. You DON’T want to use penals against vehicles, they are expensive and the little damage they’re AT rifle do is pretty much useless against anything bigger than a light tank, plus they lose 33% of their anti infantry after the AT rifle upgrade. You much rather get conscripts with AT nades or guards. AT rifle is for zoning, you will just bleed if you try to use them on tanks. If you are losing on fuel build ZIS or SU, you simply can’t rely on infantry against competent players.

Overall good and long overdue with all the changes, still some notes: 1. Conscripts fire more accurately if they are in medium/close range, under green cover they can hold out longer against other infantry and they can build the best sandbags in the game. 2. The M-42 45 mm at gun can now fire a canister shot supposedly good against infantry in close quarter maps, I haven’t test if the ability is actually good but iirc it costs 30 munitions the ability. I'm around a year and a half late, but the only thing that you should know with the soviets is that most of your units are inferior in most regards, some aren't, win by having your opponent be worse than you, lose a lot, get skill, defeat superior stats, technology and sometimes even numbers with superior tactics and equipment stealing

Why are most, scratch that, ALL guides to factions in COH 2 an hour+ long?! ain't nobody got time for that...

The heavier micro taxes are for the allies since launch. Soviets depend on doctrines to much. Cons should made cheaper they are to dependend on doctrines and need to pay a lot to get basic abilities, also eat ammo and mirco to get full potential. Maxim and sov mortar are to expensive like cons, you need more of them or support them more to get similar result as say ost. Right now the prices give the false impression that cons maxims and mortar are on par with ost while the latter are defenitly better. The zis is the only exception here. T34 su76 are worse but cheaper. Imo the prices should be Maxim 240/230mp. mortar 230mp. cons 220mp Any thoughts?

How does one counter a volks/grenadier spam? Sometimes i find myself using resources to replenish troops instead if buying maxims lol (new to the game)

need to see all the units in action, guards, shocktroopers, KV1, KV2, KV8, IS2, artilery, landleased sherman, same go for the other faction videos, dident get to see the calvery rifleman and 76 sherman with HVAP, all of the good units you never show in game wich is needed for a proper introduction.

Please influence the game developers into balancing the game MORE ... the vast majority of players just go for German factions because of their God Mode tanks ...... it doesn't matter if you beat them on the early game ... they just turtle to get those things and is almost impossible stopping those braindead tanks.
