An Italian Roadtrip! | Walkabout Tour 2024 

Great video, we were recently in Pisa/Lucca, wish we'd known about this. My wife is Italian and has wanted one of these all her life. Last year I bought one for her! It was an impulse puchase at auction and I was actually after an L322 Range Rover but the one I wanted went past my budget. It's a 1969 500L in orange. She's named him Pip. We've just had a bunch of work done on him including swapping the gearbox to a synchromesh one from a Fiat 126. It apparently had the 650cc engine put in a some point when it was in Italy and also has a 'sports' exhaust. It's a car we'll keep forever, the smile she had on her face when she first drove it was worth every penny. It's actually appeared in a Harry's Garage video when he took his 500 to the specialist to get his engine rebuilt. It's at the end of the video, you can't miss it due to the colour! 😀
