Although I hardly carp fish nowadays an Obsession with Carp is my favourite book and although I’ve read it an obscene amount of times, it always is a captivating read. I had actually started reading it again recently when you have started to produce these blogs, so to watch them on tv, has been joyous, especially in these unprecedented times so thank you Dave. Having fished Horton, I’ve felt a real infinity with the storyline so far. Also the fact that every time I see Fat Sam, it makes me reminisce of my carp-dog Rascal, who followed me around many carp lakes around the country, who sadly isn’t here anymore. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed Horton and looking forward to Wraysbury, so thank you fella for bringing some much needed relief, to lots of frustrated fishermen! Good on you. Tight lines iowspence. Have a pint on me. 🍺🎣👍
I thought Terry Hearns stories would be hard to beat but this series with all the back stories with the socials and the pub and picnics is amazing nice one Dave.
I just hope that when this lockdown is over and you get back to fishing this channel and it's content is not forgotten about and carries on occasionally because we love it Dave.
I love these Dave. Its the pictures of the clothing and stories of the drink and smoke on the banks back in the day. There's a lot of modern bailiffs who could do with spending just one week on the bank back in the day.
I remember the headline in either Carp talk or maybe Carp World back in the day. 'Dave Lane Four Forties!' We were happy catching Twenty puonders thinking we were doing well! Great to hear about the captures, thankyou.
Again top shelf material them story’s mate 🎣👍🏼 keep them coming can’t wait for your next update.... nice touch at the end with the pictures and your lads a top guitarist as well 🎸

They just keep getting better. Another great video, thank you. Also a trip down memory lane with the game spoof, when I was a kid I had a Jack Russel called stink, my old man won him in his local pub in a game of spoof. It was the landlords dog and my dad use to walk him all the time. Looking forward to wraysbury now. Stay safe. 👍
I used to see a Richard Skidmore and his dad at the Fisheries in the late 70's when Lloyd "Pink Floyd" Bent was just starting. Blast fom the past if its the same bloke.
What a brilliant set of tales about the early days at Horton! I'm hoping (please Dave, I know that Flick is still available but....) you could do a 'Colne Mere and Sonning' uncovered in the same way, after W1?
I've tried for many years getting hold of this book with no luck, I'm really enjoying this series Dave so thank you and stay safe!. One quick question will the origonal dave lane diary continue when the world is back to its normal self?
Absolutely fantastic Mr Lane listening to all the great story about your finest moment on Horton 👍ps what’s your target fish this year over at kingsmead
FORD RANGER MATE AND HOW MY HOURS HAS THE MAN PUT IN ... You just hate on people that have to thousands of man hours to get where he has got mate and fishes with the cheapest gear on the market you will never get it and that why you should go back to PAYE and Dave stil put love into what he does clearly you talk the talk but can't walk the walk mate
But yet I bet I have got valves than you i.e. Family values than you. And could buy you and you house ten fold get some people skills and think before you rite may not have the spelling correctly but ok I got a Range Rover and a nice house And more what u got sad mate 5 pound. For a beer 🍻
Brett Skerratt You didn’t answer the question. But seem to of gone off on a salty tangent. Is it 1x donation per video or a one off payment ? I am self employed and have been off work for 5x weeks so far without pay. My sister is a nurse, so in the current climate I feel the NHS deserves all donations I can afford. I watch hundreds of YT videos and have not been asked to donate to those. Dave has a large house with a double garage and a decent Ford Ranger truck. Not exactly poverty line. I am trying to ascertain the expectation and get some sort of perspective on it.
