Proper bloke you Dave, doing this for nothing, it’s pure gold. Been looking forward to the Wraysbury tales since you started. Waiting for her to finish watching her shit so I can watch it on the big screen 😍
Hi Dave been watching these over past couple of weeks couldn't believe it when Rogers name came up and his dad Pete.I became friends with them here in South Africa probably early 90's and we fished together for a while until I took a break (22 year break)from carp fishing and lost touch.I know Pete passed on but glad to here Roger is still around I still have a great pic of him with the barbel(catfish) he caught on our first session after prebaiting a local lake.(Its Nigel see my daughter was logged in)
Thanks for this, really enjoyable and a real trip down memory lane for me. I grew up in Wraysbury in the 70s and 80s. Still remember catching my first ever fish in the north lake; I was 8 years old. Tiny little roach caught on float fished maggot. Got in a complete tangle and had to setup all over again, but to this day I still remember the feeling of joy and excitement and that was me hooked on fishing for life.
This adventure in Wraysbury is like your first pint, eating after 2 days with no food, summer and cold beer with good friends, and a few real things you cannot work out that annoy you, tease you and frustrate you.
Awesome job Dave you are an awesome angler, wordsmith and ambassador to this fantastic sport I can listen to you for hours can’t wait for the next instalment 😁🎣👍🏻
Hi Dave, thanks for spending the time to do these, I've watched every episode and you probably will never know how your books, vlogs and outlook on life has affected myself. Thanks for letting us live vicariously through your incredible adventures, Stay safe
Great listening dave, bought back many memories late 80s over on wraysbury fishing on Bryant's point, hearing Martin Locke fall in up in corner of swimming pool, Johnny Allen , catching Mary off Mary's point, and Dave cumthstone fishing in no carp bay, My god he was a character, Never drink his tea! 😜 Good ole days Cant wait to hear next episode dave , well done keeping us all scene 🤪
Just started watching this morning and one episode in I'm hooked. Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences from a time where carp fishing had such mystique. All the best
I’ve been waiting for the Wraysbury tales, the section of the book on Wraysbury is excellent, one of the best I’ve read. These videos enhance the stories beautifully. Thanks, and I’ll now look for the beer coupon to express my thanks.

Dave mate these really are great videos. Loved the books back when I read em, and this is a great extensions of them. Mallins is the best looking fish I have ever seen!!!
Amazing Dave, I've read so much about warysbury. I would love to fish there but I live in Grantham Lincolnshire. Terry Hearn story is amazing but I think yours is going to be just as magical, a massive thanks for letting us all in on these brilliant moments and I'm following your story buy reading your book on kindle 👍👍
again mega watch or listen ... cant wait for part 2. fantastic, first time I read about it was in carp fisher a very long time ago and still is my all time carp lake ... I once walked around it many moons ago!! was like walking on hallowed ground
Loving this series. You may remember me from the Eye. I was wholly unsuccessful on there, didn’t have the time for it. Also fished a couple of seasons on wraysbury where I faired better. A Mighty lake. Been fishing the Thames for years now in my boat and am addicted to the place. Take it easy mate. One day might see you on the bank again. Always enjoyed your company on the eye. Take it easy and stay safe. , Des.
Nice one again Dave on your story's mate there spot on, looking forward to more of them, so 😀👍for them BUT ☹👎for there still being moonshine left in the jar😁😁
Thank god for you dave lane the s#$t that is on tv is driving me nuts. Absolutely loving these and your blogs that have been watched more than once. These take me back to when I was around 17 fishing nazing meads good times.
Very interested that there were unknown/uncaught fish in Wraysbury 1 then.... clear, deep, weedy , very low stock, 130 acres and fished by serious anglers .I have been fishing a 215 acre US lake on and off for the last 10 years. Coloured, deep, lowish stock etc. We seldom recapture one, and for sure we have many that will never get hooked. Mystery is all❤️
Me dad worked for courages delivering the beer years ago ,courage workers got tickets ,he s told me storys like your ,good old day ,he calls it number 1 pit
Have you thought of doing a special release of "Obsession With Carp" as second hand prices have been crazy for ages and are as rare as rocking horse poop? You could add some of the additional stories you have told here. I am sure you could get enough funding through pre-orders.🤞😁
Hi Dave. Your vids are keeping me sane so thank you. Was just wondering what lake you fished in Northampton? I live here and have fished most of the lakes in the valley, just wondered which you fished.
@@stuart.the.pear.1 . Sorry to hear about that. I must been about 16 when I fished halls pit. From my memory you were also involved in the carp society and helped me on a tuition. Wow that's a long time ago and my memory is a little unclear on when things happened. Maybe we will bump into each other in the future. Are you still in the Bedfordshire area? All the best Matt.
