Does Sony make the Best TV's? (comment below) get the Sony A80L here: geni.us/SonyA80L Sony sound bar/sub: geni.us/SonySoundbarSub Sony rear speakers: geni.us/SonyRearSpeakers
@@bobstacy4 thats why im not going with samsung ever again. Im going for the A95L this year. Im supsrised how many people buy the samsung tvs with the lack of dobly vision. Maybee they like the blown out colors
@bobstacy4 There's trade offs to each TV. The A80L only has 2 HDMI 2.1 ports so that's a deal breaker for some. Really just matters what you're looking for. Some people like the more vivid colors of the Samsung
I agree with much of what you said. I recently got the A80K and I much preferred it over the LG C2. They use the same panel but Sony processing is much better.
Sony has that smooth butter, that sweet juice, that dill pickle, that sour patch taste, it melts like butter over lobster ahhhh you know what im sayin??????????
I feel you there. I literally went to the store to compare the 2 several times before making my decision and every single one of those times sony was more pleasing to my eyes than LG, the C2 might’ve been a tad brighter than the A80k but sony is on another lvl of image processing.
The Sony A75L is the exact same display and processor as the A80L and is $300 less in the 65". The only thing you lose with it is an extra speaker (if using receiver/soundbar this doesn't matter), stands only have one mounting point, and there is no voice microphone in the TV itself (in remote only). I picked up the A75L two days ago and couldn't be happier. Dolby Vision content is incredible.
Sony's standard OLEDS do nothing better than LG oleds at this point. You could maybe argue processing, but the C3's processing has come a long way, and the C3 is brighter and it better for gaming.
@@steadychaosproductions3376 You are incorrect, Sony processing is superior. Also when gaming especially in SDR LG loses its benefit as max peak brightness cannot be used. Sony caters towards cinema crowd.
S90c is way more colorful because its Q-D OLED AT the same price as the a80l and c3 which are only considered only OLED, also but when comes to the 1st best i would get the a95l over the s95c and lg g3, but the g3, and s95c lay right over the a95l in some case, the only cool thing about Sony is their processor and company.
I bought 77" a80j 3 years ago, but I have to return because I couldn't see the image in my bright living room during daytime, but its ok at night, so it was replaced with 85" qn85a, much better.
hi I need a 65 in tv for my bedroom im trying to decide between the brachia a80l, Bravia 8 or the Bravia 9...which one would u get? or recommend? love your content
Appreciate the review! Just purchased the A80CL model from Costco with the added warranty and backlit remote. A big part of the reason for the purchase was the screen resizing for gaming. Do you know why it is not available in the gaming menu? You mentioned it in the video but wasn’t shown as one of the options. Again appreciate you putting in the work!
What’s your sitting distance? Do you feel the 65” is big enough? Im getting the A80L but cant decide on size and whether or not I should go with the 77” or 65”. I’ll be roughly 8-9 feet away. Thanks!
Sony definitely know what they are doing when it comes to picture quality especially since they calibrate Sony movies.. It’s like when Apple seems to make Samsung Oled panels on the iPhone that much better whoopsss 🤣😂
So if U choose in between to LG QNed vs Sony X85/90L then what should I choose for? Also which one will be best for Bright room any added suggestions will be appreciated. Many Thank
Go with Qned if you have a wide sitting area. Both are bright but Qned will have wider viewing angle because of IPS panel, while X85Land X90L is VA panel.
Oled's are great for great quality sources but average SDR programs at low bitrate looks TERRIBLE on my 83'' A90J 🤢🤢🤢 For that only my old plasma 65VT60 was great ❤❤
@@hastensavoir7782 Picture from oled is very similar to lcd full array but without off axis issue, no blooming and better blacks. Near black handling is lot better on lcd and banding is terrible on 83 " oleds and pink tint on deep black pictures is very anoying😡😡😡.This is my first and last oled 😫😫😫 Meybe qd oled next gen will be much better. For now I rather hate my oled. Old plasma is 10 times better.
@@hastensavoir7782 ordinary ? If you were watching plasma for 9 years like me , you will be very disappointed how bad those kind of source looks on 4k oled😫
It's a huge difference in size between 65 and 83. If you can control the lighting around your watching area then I would suggest you go ahead and get that 83" monster.
Sony A80L vs. LG C3, which one is the best? I know both will perform well when 4K videos are played. However, for watching regular content, which is mostly in 720p, which TV, as per you, would be the best?
If you have a ps5 go for the Sony, if you have Xbox go for an LG C3. There are exclusive gaming features that prioritize Sony’s ps5 with the A80L and it’s Bravia system.
Buy the Sony A80 series if you want a dim hdtv with unwatchable DV along with an overly sharpened picture with dynamic tone mapping you can’t turn off. Limited feature set and the bloated out of date Google tv and a higher price point than a better performing, less expensive hdtv from the competition.
Do not buy this tv (XR65A80L). I have had mine less than 2 months and already have burn-in from the roku RU-vid app. I have a 10 min screen saver and shut the tv off when I leave the room, so it's not like I am leaving a static image all the time.
Your comparison makes no sense as it’s different use case, would you say a Bulldozer is better on a race track against a Ferrari……… There’s a reason even movie theaters are pitch black.. G3 being well over 1500nits is the perfect balance to this problem for anyone placing in bedroom or other bright room.
🔥🔥🔥🔥 That’s Sad 😞 I wasn’t even looking Sony Ways knowing damn well they Make Sony A7 line of cameras Movies Music PlayStation & in the past had the Best TV’s. Fuck LG I want a Sony OLED.
I ordered an 83" from Costco today, from Costco because it came with a 5 year warranty. We only watch streaming content (Prime, Netflix, Hulu, Espn + Disney +, Fubo, Peacock, Sling etc). All consensus says Sony has the best processor for that type of content.
I was going to get 77" a80l until I found out it only has two 2.1 HDMI outputs, and I need 4 for my PS5, Series X, PC (5800x/ 3080ti), and sound bar. Why would Sony cut corners on their premium products? This is a dumb decision by Sony. Ultimately, I ended up buying 77" LG C3 a few days ago.
Hello CJ! Thanks for the great videos. LG G3 OLED vs Sony A80L OLED 83 INCH MODELS. I can't decide on which TV to purchase. I am putting this in my living room that has 20 ft ceilings and only windows that are up about 15-17ft high. The room is brighter in the day but the sunlight never hits the wall where we plan to mount the TV. We as a family only watch TV at night (streaming) and very minimal gaming. We stream and watch movies with the Sonos Arc, Eras 300's and Sonos Sub Gen2. Which model is best in your professional opinion and why ? I feel like I'm splitting hairs on this decision but the only difference for us is that the G3 (83" does not include the MLA technology) is brighter than the Sony A80L. Appreciate the help.
The tv really looks dim, and that’s what made me go buy the LG C3. Marvel literally uses LG TVs to test their films when in Post Production. Go with what your eyes tell you. Idk if you have the brightness on low but this makes everything look washed out.
Being able to turn off your tv with your iPhone is clutch? If you have your iPhone in your hand instead of the tv remote, you have an addiction to your phone. Detox. Put your phone away for a few minutes each week. You’ll survive, I promise! Much easier to hit the power button on your remote than open up an app, pressing the button, and closing the app.
Instead of jumping to conclusions... everyone misplaced their TV remote every now and then. And when that happens you still have access to a remote via your phone...relax on the assumptions 😂
I just bought a 2023 OLED SONY TV + a HT5000 soundbar, SW5 sub and RS5 rears. TV+soundbar combo for the S center function - yes its amazing but the hissing is not fixed in the 2023 lineup - COMEON SONY! soundbar just died the other day - wont turn on - it was 2 weeks old sub is not well calculated and being too light it vibrates and that makes it move - i have to put a weight on it to sit tight rears are sooooo quiet unless you mess with the settings manually but that means to bypass the autocalibration which should give more performance all in all for a 2200 Euros home cinema kit - extremely disappointed. would not recommend. oh almost forgot - soundbar would not connect to mesh wifi for some reason so bye bye apple airplay. VERY bad SONY!
OLED is LG's technology but it's calibrated completely different and separate from LG. Every company has its own processor and interpretation of said technology. So who has the best interpretation of said technology is the real discussion.
@CJKnowsTECH yeah honestly i lost my interest on Sony TV (back in 2003) when they started to make it in China do to it only lasted me 3 years before it broke down.
Obviously you are forgetting WebOS otherwise you wouldn't say so. They might have the best displays but if you consider everything in a TV then there's more to it than just the display brightness and contrast.
@@GORILLABREATH1 what’s only 2 2.1’s, the Sony or the LG. The specs for my C3 say that all 4 ports are 2.1. I assume that you’re referring to the Sony.
