I love this theory, but there is one thing that I found that may be incorrect. At around 7:21 you state that you find it suspicious that Six knows how to use the mirrors to defeat The Lady. But I feel as if there is a theory that disproves this misconception. I found this theory a while back and it states that when Six ate the rat, she was able to navigate the vents. If we speculate that the nome that Six consumed was The Runaway Kid, it could show that Six had known how to defeat The Lady due to The Runaway Kid’s prior knowledge. It could also show that when Six consumes something, she gains their knowledge/power. (Think back to when Six ate The Lady and gained her abilities) But besides this one point, I love this theory.
The idea that what we’re seeing is the mirror world actually makes more sense now that I think about it. The tiny children, the big adults, the disfigured faces, the duality of innocence corrupted by an darker half and yes, even the fact that time seems to have little consequence really brings context as to what figures like the lady, the thin man and even the mirror man might be up to....I think their goal is to tempt mortals into this world by granting their deepest desires. All at the cost of their souls and whatever humanity they have left. The lady let’s people indulge in gluttony, the thin man uses tv for escapism, but the final question is....what is the mirror man’s goal?
Reading the line 'granting their deepest desires' makes me consider something. If what you say is true, then what if the lady's reflection that we see is in fact the Lady from the outside world, if we're in the mirror world? If the Lady seeks beauty she cannot attain, it could make sense that the Lady's face that we do not see (the actual Lady, as opposed to her 'reflection') is the beautiful face she wants, while the haggard face we see in the reflection is in fact her real face and that we're seeing 'beyond the veil' in a sense, into the real world outside. It could also mean that the Mirror Monster is somewhere in our world, granting the wishes of people's appearances in the mirrors they look in.
I think the teacher smartens up the students and then takes their brains away for the mannequins, i also think the citizens are being turned into mannequin slaves for the upper class. I think the janitor and chefs are an example as they are working for the lady
I like this theory but I wonder why shadow six is watching and I actually believe it’s a watcher or observer that stalks us also I believe why six is fading is like you said is different but shadow six is trying to take over six body and lock her away forever
This could explain why the “humans” within the games appear rather “strange.” Maybe it’s like the movie US😂 Like, the regular people live on the surface while their messed-up doppelgängers do their best to imitate their counterparts while being shut away underground.

Great video as always but I just have a few nit-picks about this theory. I feel like the apple might be pushing it just a little. I find it more likely that the teacher just likes apples, and probably just always has one sitting on her desk. So someone probably just decided to draw one of them ( probably for art class or something, my art teacher for example was obsessed with making us life draw fruit.) Another are the clocks themselves, in the janitors lair they are freaking out and not making sense, but in the Residence there is a clock that appears to be functioning fine. In fact it rings at one point in the level, instead of ringing every few seconds like the ones in the lair. Let's be fair, a lot of things are worse for ware in the Lair so those clocks are probably just about past it. And no offense to Roger, but he is blind, so I wouldn't exactly trust him to be able to fix the clocks or set their times to align. Although he did manage to get them all to ring at the same time so props to him for that.
we saw six breaking the mannequins finger in the ln2 demo, maybe dark six is gaining more influence and making her slightly more sadistic by the minute? the "fading" part could be metaphorical for her being replaced?

I like the idea of a time altering mirror world it is very Silent Hill and I happen to like Silent Hill. If it's true and the Lady was actually a good person is it possible Six could learn to reverse the nomes transformation and actually get them off the ship? If so how do you think she'll feel about the fact she ate a kid? Or will she never find out? I hope she does that way her and Mono can truly fix things and they can both get somewhat of a happy ending. Great video as always hope you have a great day/night see you next time.
That's definitely a take I haven't heard before, but I like it! The idea of an inverse world is very interesting, and makes sense. You even found a way for the lady to be good. Well done.
Time working differently might explain why some characters teleport across the Maw. Like the door man being outside the window one moment and hanging the next, or the chefs cooking one moment and then washing the dishes. Although i thought the teleporting characters were to make it feel like a dream as you can't read anything in Little Nightmares like in a dream.

Our theories are kinda similar, im like this close but not really. My theory was, i noticed like all human-like-children even The Lady hides their faces because i thought they only do it so they wont get killed like they do in The Maw. Because i also thought that the monsters in that world are jealous because Six and the others have beautiful normal faces, and maybe The Lady is scared to be ugly like the monsters, like its shown in the mirror in the DLC. Maybe that's why some monsters wear masks to hide their ugly faces and Six and the others hides theirs just to survive. Idk, this is just a theory, and sorry that im late, i really love your videos!

Have you ever considered that Six may not have been trying to escape the Maw, rather her intention all along was to defeat The Lady? I was thinking about it the last time I played. Six was outside the ship at one point in the game, but didn't leap into the water. Possibly it was too high and dangerous, but with how dark Six seems to be, I wonder if her objective wasn't always more sinister.
Interesting the concept of the mixt and alteration time loop, also how the mirror man have conection with the tvs in fact his glass combine with the machinery cause this grotesque looking from some of the inhabitants...
I always thought that the story takes place after ww2 where six got seriously injured and is currently in a coma induced nightmare, and what we’re are playing is actually six’s traumatic past

Something I noticed that when I was rewatching the trailer for the second game, at 0:51 you can see paintings on each side of the teacher that were covered up. Makes me wonder if she has something to do with the lady, or if she has a similar story. Later on in the trailer I think you can see a broken mirror when Mono goes through the tv. Interesting theory. But what if, we were the all seeing eyes this whole entire time? I mean, we're the only eyes(people) who knows what happen to these children and watching them throughout their entire journey. And plus, knowing how mono can travel through television. Could there possibilities that the 4rth-breakingwall is going to happen? Like. Our screen that we use to watch these children running for their life are actually one of the television? also fun fact: Six seems to love music box and somehow it seems to calm her like in the comic. she smiled when she brought a music box. and pretty sure in the room before mono arrive. she's calming herself with the music box.
One of the examples you give of time not working seems shaky to me, that the apple on the Teacher's desk in Little Nightmares 2 is the same apple in the painting on the Maw, and that it should have decomposed by the sequel. But from my perspective, couldn't they just be two different apples? Or is there something about them that connects the two that I am not aware of?
This was actually a really good theory. Of course it's not completely solid, but with some fine-tuning this could become a probable explanation of everything! Great video!

Found your channel by accident while watching horror game lore and you're the reason I became interested in LN to begin with, thanks for bringing so much to this fascinating game universe especially for those of us who have a hard time playing horror games but love the stories and lore
what if The Broadcaster is giving people in the mirror world whatever they want, but they slowly turned corrupted. like maybe the janitor wanted to be tall like the child, but slowly his tallness corrupted due to being in the mirror world so long, and his arms grew lengthy over time. the chefs possibly wanted to fit in more, so they were given masks to fit in, but the masks slowly corrupted their minds making them act erratic and violent. perhaps the Lady asked to be beautiful, so was given a mask. the disfigured Lady in the Hideaway DLC in the mirror could be her in the real world. after all we don’t see her actual face in the DLC, just the reflection. just an idea, probably not a good one though.
What if the mirror took her, making her what she wanted to see inside the mirror (like the comics) but like all magic it comes with a price-- so she's forced to wear this mask because her "real" face is hideous. It's hard to say if she's a good guy-- but remember the saying, "you either die the good guy, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain. I think this might be the case for a lot of the characters in the game-- the janitor being the "tall boy being able to reach things." But he's not tall, his arms are able to reach things. I recall there being a shattered mirror in the bathroom before the janitor appears-- but I could be misremembering. Anywho, thanks for the thought fodder

Theory : shadow kids are your evil side for example shadow six isn’t a thing just a thought but when you get turned into a nome that thought becomes real but shadow kid are just looking for a body because RK looks like he gets possessed shadow kids are kind of like ghosts if you will

My theory is that this is a prequel to LN. After VLN Six goes to the City and meets Mono and that’s when LN2 takes place I think after LN2 the Fairyman will catch Six and Mono then this leads to the start of LN. I think that maybe LN3 if that ever happens will be a sequel to LN. That’s my theory

So basically it is a world behind a mirror, nightmare world to be precise, alternate reality of some sort. In the city we see in comics, we do not see any monster besides a mirror man maybe he is a entity that is a sort of connection and a portal between the real world and a nightmare world. Intresting theory Jord. Maybe Lady made a deal with a mirror man, what is intresting that in the old times people really belived that mirrors are portals to another dimensions that can let phantoms or even demons came in to our demension so they covered them before they would go to sleep.
No, I mean this IS NOT the mirror world, The Nightmare world or The Real world is Seven's, Six's, and Mono's world but the Mirror world isn't the same because the mirror world is a world where everything is distorted and messed up like the guests so the mirror world would have done something to the guests, the lady, the chefs, even the janitor and possibly the teacher thin man the hunter etc.

So maybe the Thin man murdered himself and then connected to the Tower and then became what he is now, so maybe the Thin man is from the Real/Normal world. Make this a theory @ItsJustJord?
You are wrong at one part. Six knew how to deafeat the lady because she eat the run away kid gnome. And he knew how to deafeat the lady because he saw it in the dlc, six collects the meomory of the creature that she eats so.
