I will preface this by saying that I love what Lona and the BOS are doing; HOWEVER, perhaps they could get the orangutans back to the forest quicker if they didn't fawn over each and every minutia of their release. Prior to releasing into a section of forest, she sends the teknisi out there to make sure there's enough food to forage, then they return several times to keep checking on the animals. And all of that costs time and money.

the villagers should call the protective services. Not kill or shoot the mothers. And take the babies for later sale. Killing a helpless animal with no forest to go to is NOT a self defense. I hope you understand what the real issue is. The crops are not in danger. These almost extinct animals and many others are.
