As a shy, anxious child with pushover tendencies who also loved cats, this movie was incredible to me. I dreamed of inheriting cat powers because an immortal cat decided I was worthy and become a bad bitch who stood up for herself and stole jewelry. Justice for Catwoman 2004.
Halle Berry did not need to go that hard for this movie. She did not need to sniff that catnip with that level of intricate layered acting. But she did. She did it for us.
It is because Tom is a cop who abides by the law, a good man & she doesn't play by the rules it would cause too much conflict she would feel restricted by him. Just like Selena does with Bruce as for Patience getting fired for telling the boss man where to go & what she really thinks about him is, me if I told my bosses off my ass would be walked out the door.
@@LittleCindyLouWho It wouldn't because Tom would checking to see if Patience stole or did anything she wasn't suppose to be doing. He would be jeopardizing his job if he had to cover for her.
YES! I was worried that she would have to settle down with a good man, give up her cat-suited superheroine adventures, and be "healed by love". Having her choose herself and her independence over a man makes me so happy
I actually really like how the final villain was indeed not just the rich white man, but also his wife. It didn’t paint all women out to be victims, and while the wife was in a bad situation, she still held power over other women for both being white and rich. It’s incredible
@@alistairmooncrest5018 they could have at least done REALLY wild unkempt hair and really garish makeup and gone with a stronger "she knows how to groom and present herself better" angle
I don’t blame Halle for this movie. She only applied the DIRECTION she was given. Also, *Unpopular Opinion Incoming* The costumes kinda slapped in this movie for me. No lie for the sheer campiness, I hope Catwoman gets the Showgirls treatment and becomes a certified cult classic. 🤷🏾♂️🖤
The funny thing about Jennifer’s body is that the company that was in charge or marketing it deliberately ignored the advice of the directors and producers who told them that the target audience was young women and women in general, bc they (the company) thought the best way and the only way to market the film was to market it to straight men
Bruh jennifer’s body is such a tragic film as in the fact it was overlooked by a bunch of dude bro movie reviewers to the point of being labelled a not great film because of its shitty publicity and marketing will never not piss me off, I’m happy its started to gain popularity amongst girls and gays enough to make it a cult favourite mainstay
I don’t use Twitter so I didn’t know people didn’t like this movie because I loved it and used to watch all the time and only found out about it recently in a RU-vid comment section when I had the urge to listen to the soundtrack. I was so confused bro.🤔 Don’t get me wrong is it groundbreaking ducking amazing needs it’s own category of awesomeness…no…but it’s not dog shit horrible as people make it out to be.
I personally feel like a lot of people have trouble distinguishing a “bad” movie from a “fun, campy movie that was a product of its time” and that’s exactly how I’d describe Catwoman! Hollywood will definitely never make a movie like that again and there’s something really cool about that. It’s one of a kind and entertaining, that’s what movies should be! (:
I find it interesting how the same people talking mess about this movie love movies from the 80s and THOSE were extreme campy and cheap looking while also being fun. It's like people think the 2000s were supposed to have high quality movies suddenly when things like CGI were still in the early stages.
Not really. A movie can be fun and campy l, and still not a good movie. If you can only enjoy a movie under specific criteria, then it wasn't that good to begin with.
@@NanaNaima1 yes and no. While how you feel about a movie is subjective, what it's trying to do and what it actually does isn't. You also seem to be confusing yourself. People don't call it a bad movie because it's campy, they call it a bad movie because they think it's a bad movie.
@@Sam-0827 I don't know about that. I mean sure the 2000s were not the hight of female action leads I highly doubt that "misogyny" had anything to do with this movies favor. Not everything needs revaluation, sometimes a bad movie, is just a bad movie. I was also bothered by the fact that completely waisted the leather outfit she had at the beginning in order to put her in whatever the hell her main outfit was.
THIS film is what got me into wearing heels and accepting my femininity. I was very tomboyish growing up because I was convinced being girly was bad due to those around me but watching Halle sprint in heeled boots set something off inside of me and I have never been the same since. 100% the most memorable film from my childhood, and by far a favourite of mine
@@kaimiz right! Like apparently being girly was so bad. (Which is what Hollywood is saying without saying it.) All female characters look and act masculine and the feminine ones are looked down upon. Like oh it's weak being feminine. I loved this movie and legally blonde cause it made me feel confident in being a girlie girl.
YES! THIS! Literally the first movie to actually show me the most feminine of women can be badazzes too with heels and the outfit she wore. I need more of that now! Hell, Halle Berry's Catwoman inspired me in creating characters who are, as Kennie put it, hot and black. As a young black girl then to a mid-20s black woman now, this movie for real changed my life.
OMG YES! YES! I swear, I had NO IDEA people hated this movie, I genuinely love it so much, it was a slap in the face to know that it was not the case for most.
LWF written & directed by women. it was a literal love letter to all women or those that want to celebrate them. incredible acting, wardrobe iconique, fun plot AND is rewatchable since knowing the twists earlier on adds dimension. i'll never not rant when i see it mentioned... thank you for coming to my TEDtalk.
@@Vbear-bn4wm you could probably analyse and get deeper into the story but it was truly forgettable. The aesthetic and the wardbroad was on point tho 👌
This is exactly how I feel about the Tomb Raider movie with Angelina Jolie. I don't know why people expect an artsy masterpiece when a film is based on a comic or a video game. You're supposed to just suspend belief and enjoy the campiness of it all.
those movies were actually good. electra and catwoman being so terrible made people not give tomb raider 2 and charlie angels full throttle, actual solid movies a chance!
Just like Jennifer's Body. Give the lead woman traits of strength, intelligence, sexuality, and independence and the men can't handle it, it's just too threatening and doesn't follow the "proper" tradition of female characters still being centered on what guys think is appropriate. Gentle, sweet, caring, smart but not too smart that she outplays her male counterpart, vulnerable and not -too- sexual. It's ridiculous.
@@roselover411 its not that deep. Men love countless bad ass woman protagonists dating back to the 80s,(ie: uma therman in Batman and Robin, Geena Davis in the Long Kiss Goodnight)that also happened to own their sexuality. The movie is objectively bad. Every action scene gives me a headache with how many cuts are used. This was the main gripe of every male catwoman fan. But if it made you feel empowered good.
This movie had everything. EVERYTHING! Cats, Halle Berry in a cat suit, Sharon Stone being a woman in charge, Benjamin Bratt, the shit ton of cats and cat puns, an evil empire built on creams and perfect skin and it got shot down because cis het men prefered to bathe in the blood of their fresh kill instead of just applying some nice smelling body wash.
As both a girl and gay, I absolutely adore Halle Berry's portrayal of Catwoman. It's genuinely one of my favorite films of all time. I owned it 3 times on dvd as a little girl and I still watch and enjoy it til this day as a grown woman. I didn't even know it was hated by many until recent years, totally undeserved. I guess those who get it, get it, and those who don't , don't.
I don’t care what nobody says this movie was a cult classic and I stand by my statement. All the hate that Halle received over this movie was completely unjustified. The girls that get it get it and the girls that don’t don’t it’s that simple.💅🏾
Halle’s portrayal of CatWoman is why I fell in love with Catwoman’s character as a whole 🥺 itty bitty me would draw Halle as CatWoman for months after I saw this film 🖤
I think the main thing with this movie is that it is very clearly filmed through the perspective of the male gaze, which.... true. So it definitely wanted to show an empowering woman, but because of the time it was made, still had to do so within the confines of the cinematic rules in that time i.e. the male dominant film industry, which resulted in a movie that was clearly for girl but was advertized to men. because let's be honest, would you really have gotten a super heroine movie in 2004 if it was not also horny?
i truly dont think thats the case. i think it had a very horny very gay female gaze, appreciative and never dehumanizing. thats how it felt to me, watching this movie. i never felt uncomfortable and i was appreciating all the angles
The razzies started as a joke i believe the guy that created said a movie was ao terrible he had to make an award for something so trash i believe. Adam sandler has the most.
@@princemwamba5230 "adam sandler has the most." This made me cackle omg. 😭 I don't even know what a cackle is tbh but that's the only word that can be used to accurately describe the noise I made. 😂
It was the Razzies... it's all "bad" movies, that's the point, everyone knows it's for a laugh. Halle Berry is obviously an incredible actress. Halle gets points for being willing to be in on the joke tho. I always thought her acceptance speech made her a class act. There are no acceptance speeches at the Razzies.
Yes please. I never understood the hate for Catwoman 😭 I was about 8 when I first watched it and I was like 'woah, black lady anti-hero heroine. I love it." To this day, it is one of the only films I have watched over 10 times along with The Mummy and The Mummy 2.
As far as I know the frontline haters of this catwoman film are mostly the DC comic nerd & geeks who prefers an accurate but awesome depiction of hers... I'm just a regular DC fan, and I gotta say I really love this film, this is the film that makes me feel secure about my love of DC based Superheroes & villain characters because in my own opinion the vibe of this 2004 catwoman film feels like a lil bit of the matrix, 007 james Bond, and many other Y2K action films that was released at that time.. :-))
As a French kid who was extremely shy and generally miserable, this movie was my saving grace. I used to put the DVD in my playstation 2 and marvel at Halle Berry's confidence. I loved her as Storm also.
I absolutely loved this movie as well I never realised people were talking shit about it until I was an adult and was so confused and then I just watched it again and decided it was great.
@@TheBiggestMoronYouKnow they tend to nominate more women and people of color for mediocre or niche performances rather than actual bad performances. it's the same problem with regular awards except it's the opposite. mediocre or bad performing white able-bodied people tend to win the actual awards. the only time people of color tend to win anything is when they're put into racialized category or they're showcasing the suffering of people of color.

But I don't like the movie and it's not a good movie so that's a problem, don't get me wrong I love this movie when I was a kid, but watching it now oh man is the movie shit.
When Sharon Stone's character plunged to her death, it was OBVIOUS that it was a dummy and it was and still is hilarious 🤣🤣🤣 Catwoman is a guilty pleasure 🤷🏾♀️❤️
They really thought putting sis in cozy clothes, natural hair, and little makeup, was supposed to justify everyone looking down on her as unkept and not up to beauty standards (ugly). 6 yr old me was like ??? Y'ALL REALLY DON'T SEE HER???
At 6, I'd have this movie on repeat on my dad's portable 2000s DVD player and when the nightclub scene popped on, I'd whisper the White Russian line while pouring myself CUPS of milk to drink. This movie was everything to me as a weird ass black girl🥰
Soooo... confession: When I was younger and saw this movie I was obsessed with cat woman. Like not too obsessed but enough to be convince I WAS cat woman 😭. I actually specifically remember purposely always having bacon available when I’d watch it just so when it got to the sushi scene in the movie I could eat my bacon like she ate the sushi 😂 typing this out now seeing how embarrassing this is but I’m still gonna comment it cause I feel like somebody should know
Girl don’t be embarrassed, we’ve all been there. As a person who’s been super lanky and thin all my life (often teased for being so skinny), after I saw that scene of her squeezing through the prison bars I developed an unhealthy obsession with getting through narrow spaces despite my inherit claustrophobia. I feel like this Catwoman helped me feel less scared by facing my fears head-on through the lens of a nimble superhero who’s elusive enough to get out of any compromising situation. 😂
“I never get offered a threesome from couples that look like this. I always get offers from life’s leftovers” GIRL. That reminded me of a tweet I saw a couple weeks ago of Victoria Monet and her man, and someone said “I never get approached by couples that look like this. It’s always TI and Tiny” 💀
As a lesbian. That’s all. Also I love the name patience phillips like what a comic book name!!!!!!! So protagonist worthy!!!!!!!!! She will always be a real catwoman to me and my first no less
I feel it could have been directed better...but I mean...I loved the Catwoman movie..t.he personality Halle brought to it and her dynamic with Benjamin Bratt was great...an underrated movie also edit: I've been reading how halle Berry spoke about hwy did it have to be a makeup company and what not...and honestly, that was my favorite part. I got to see an anti-hero I admired (catwoman) played by a great actress (Halle Berry) take down one of the most harmful industries to AFAB people (the beauty industry) and to me...I thought that was amazing. Like...no, she didn't take down the man and omg we solved racism and misogyny in one flick...cuz that's unrealistic and honestly...it's pedestal placing. But she took on an industry that's long preyed on afab people by pushing high to nearly impossible beauty standards as the minimum and guilting those who don't meet the "conventional standard of beauty" for being born "unconventionally beautiful" and you know what... I was proud of Halle Berry taking that down....and while many will complain about that...to me...at a time where I was being pushed by those same beauty standards and feeling guilty for not being an all around girlie girl and not being made up enough and told how hideous I looked to the point where it apparently angered my sister how "ugly" i was...This movie will always have a special place in my heart. Just for that. IT meant a lot to me.
so many scenes from this movie live ingraned in my brain since I was a kid. that scene of her laying on the floor supposedly dead/dying surrounded by cats, the scene of her eating sushi, the first time she wears the sexy catwoman costume, sharon stone's face on the screens in the company. UGH, I love this movie so much. i was so upset when I found out people thought it was bad bc my sister and I had blast watching it int theaters! i think we even made our dad watch it with us even though with had already seen with our mom. my sister even dressed up as this version of catwoman for Halloween that year, my mom made her a kid friendly eversion of the costume with a little longsleeve croptop and everything. i was so envious even tho I didn't say it lol. i;m so glad I've found someone else who loves this movie!
Captain Marvel, basically female Tony Stark, was sh*t on because she was a confident woman. As long as it's female, but always marketed towards a straight male audience, it will never win. 🤷🏻♀️
I didn’t even know that people hated this movie. We used to own it on DVD, my mom LOVED it and I thought it was a classic, little did I know poor Halle got so much heat for it, what a shame it came out at the wrong time
Probably most people don’t like it because they were expecting it to be a DC comics thing but it was clearly it’s own thing. Like it literally had nothing to do with the Batman universe.
I love the movie and it’s: “Be unapologetically you” symbolism. There are a few things that I would have changed about the movie: -Catwoman’s outfit for it to be more practical but stylish .-The company Beau-line having mob ties, what exactly IS going into the Beau-Line product, and where are those dangerous and what we can assume to be illegal materials/drugs are coming from --And to cut down on the flashing lights and dizzying camera work This brings me to another point about how cis-men have an issue with Catwoman. Cis-men will always compare Michelle and Halle’s Catwoman all the while bringing up comic book accuracy and sex appeal...Like they aren’t two sides of the same coin about breaking free from the misogynistic expectations that men have put on women. Selina Kyle was a orphaned thief who was inspired by Batman’s costume and the power it gave him so she decided to take up a cat persona. Not to mention she didn’t have to die in order to have this dominant personality. She’s always been that way.
Her outfit maybe and flashing lights definitely Idk about the camera cause it was different worked with the movie but I understand why calm it down a bit Though I would keep everything else I liked that Beau-Line was its own evil without needing outside help from a mob or whatever It's just a beauty line that wanted to get richer with bad morals which is normal in this day and age lol
@@MOMOHEARTS Understandable. But you see how quickly this movie would have been a hit, I don’t know why people complain about the plot because it works with Selina Kyles Catwoman. She’s all about protecting the people of Gothams East End (the poor people, orphans, strippers, hookers etc) and if this was a problem in her little city she would have dealt with it.
Change whatever you want but as a straight woman, i hope her outfit is still sexy, there’s something unapologetically “catwoman” about it. Like to me, she made being sexy sexy.
@ 16:23 When the cat lady explains the catwomen throughout history Patience is sitting on the floor looking at pictures of the catwomen and there's a picture of Michelle Pfeiffer's catwoman in Batman Returns. People were complaining that Halle was the new Catwoman when her character wasn't even meant to be the same Catwoman in Gotham City. They literally say there are many throughout history. Yet people were still mad. Guess they should have had Halle hold up the picture of Michelle Pfeiffer to make it obvious but then again many of the negative comments were probably from people who never even watched the movie. The camera work was bad though but the movie was good. (Edited for typo)
thank god someone else noticed that! I was a young girl who happened to be a comic book fan and while I was enjoying the movie, I was also wondering where the hell was Selina Kyle until that scene came out! And I was like oooh, makes sense, even if it was conflicting with Catwoman's comic origins I was satisfied that they acknowledged the existence of the original! Needless to say, this movies has one of my faves interpretations of Catwoman
Most people are soley mad she’s black and hide behind all the white CATWOMAN comparisons because that’s all they know is “white CATWOMAN is superior to Halle” when in reality, Halle clearly nailed the whole thing. They did this with the little mermaid and Cinderella Rodger and Hammerstein
My skin is cleared, it’s the first time ive seen someone else talking good about this movie and child me feels vindicated god damn this movie has a strange gravitas about it and you really hit the nail on the comparison with Jennifer’s Body and the problem with the target demographic. Im glad we (the women and the lgbtqia+) are reclaiming the movies we loved when we were young and were taught to hate due to a handful of entitled “film” men also benjamin brett hot glad we have that established too
i don't even have much to add lol my sister showed me this movie when i was really young and it became one of my favorites?? i was so shocked to see ppl calling it a horrible movie, it's so fun and badass. it was the first time i saw a female protagonist being unapologetically overly dramatic, independent and sexy and like...it awakened things in me lmao i'd rather watch catwoman 100000 times in a row than sit through a single mcu or dc movie
God I loved this movie when I was a kid I absolutely adored how strong she was. Like ... its so good I watched it so many times as a kid even the camerawork looking at it now it was crazy cool. The way it put the perspective of her as a cat and its just great
While I agree that misogyny definitely played a part in this movie's criticisms, it was also pretty likely because this Catwoman acts nothing like the original Catwoman. Then again they NAMED the protagonist "Patience" instead of Selina Kyle so maybe that was the point 🤷🏽♀️
YES!! Like I honestly think if they ACTUALLY made a Catwoman movie about an Anti-hero cat burglar then it could legitimately hold the name. Just like any other peice of media based on pre-existing Comic Book material how much you embrace or reject the source does matter. The poster didn't say "Patience" it said "Catwoman", a pre established character that Patience was not. I am sure there is mysogyn and racism in some of the hate. Plenty of us female (black) comic book nerds would like a Catwoman movie about...you know...Catwoman. which this wasn't. I could care less if Catwoman is black or white or whatever.
Yeah I think a lot of people mistake it for a Batman movie and judge it as such instead of watching it for the movie that it is. I know that was certainly my hang up on it until I watched the movie later in life.
@@asimplemoth5342 Well I also think racism kept this from being an actual Catwoman Movie (yes, I hear people shouting 'Ertha Kitt' from the shadows). If you actually watched 60s Batman you'll see how much the writing changed between Julie Newmar and Ertha Kitt Catwoman in the hopes the audience wouldn't reject a non-white Catwoman. With this movie, on one hand they wanted to sell the Star Power of Halle Berry and KNOWN name of Catwoman, but after the success of Phiefer's Catwoman were afraid to make Halle ACTUAL Catwoman (Selina Kyle) most likely because she was non-white. I think I'd be more likely to give this movie a pass if she WAS Selina Kyle. Making her not Selina is exactly where the problem starts. It gave them a safety that if anyone criticized anything like her being black (or more accurately BiRacial) they could use the excuse of "well this isn't actually *the* (white Catwoman), it's another Character who just happens to also be called Catwoman." The audience didn't make this a Batman universe movie, the advertising and the aestic did EVERYTHING to call back to the Burton-verse Batman films while trying to also 'do it's own thing' by not being actually in the Batverse. The reason why Miles Morales actually WORKS as a reboot of Spiderman (who happens to be black/Hispanic) and it is a GOOD Superhero Comic Book movie is because they don't ignore the comic book. Peter Parker is in the darn movie and passes the torch to a new Spiderman. Though there is no race shakeup, this is also why Batman Beyond works as well, though Terry McGinnis looks a lot like Bruce what really makes the character work is he is mentored in by Bruce allowing the audience to ease into a Bruce that's not Batman. Leaving out the Batman/Gotham element in Catwoman was actually a mistake and has almost always failed in every Gotham related property that tried to write around an absent Batman element. And you can't use the name 'Catwoman' without people being annoyed that you are trying to have it both ways. Both do a new character, but ignore the universe of that character's origins ENTIRELY.
@@TheDawnofVanlife I never thought about that before but I makes TOTAL sense. It would have been interesting if the movie had at least mentioned Selena like Batman Beyond and the Spiderverse. I'd be down for having 2 Catwomans if they were both interesting and well written 🤔
If they had actually named this character senna Kyle, and kept everything else about the movie the same, it would have received more more negative feedback. Probably on the same level as 2017 death note or DBE. The next generation also is bit risker with a character like catwoman.
I think my only gripe with the movie now that I'm an adult was the fact that this Catwoman wasn't connected to the DC Universe but after watching your video I now understand it was never meant to connect, it's been a while since I've seen it I didn't even realize her name was Patience in this film & not Selina, if I look at it from a none DC Universe lens I can appreciate the film like I did when I was younger, but if they tried to connect this Catwoman to the DC Universe like I initially thought this movie would of been a miss for me & I would have blamed the writers more so then Halle Berry. Another great video btw.😊 Also I do believe misogyny & racism did play a part in why people didn't like the movie but I'm sure some people didn't like it because I'm sure as you may know the fandoms will wild out if a writer rewrites or goes off script with a character people are familiar with & DC Catwoman has a large fan base so the fact the this movie was labeled CATWOMAN & had little to nothing to do with Gotham or Batman, I'm sure that made people get up in arms about why they dislike this movie as well.
I didn't give a damn if this movie was canon or not when I was a child. I thought it was the best thing ever! It introduced me to smexy, hot black woman doing her thing, capoeira which I still want to do to this day, and a style that never got old. This movie truly marked the beginning of me making my MCs in my stories black women who are smart, smexy, and that bish in their own ways. So what if this Catwoman isn't Selina? Why can't we have fun movies with characters of the same alias? Catwoman isn't copyrighted, sooooo? Reasons why I don't watch the western superhero/Marvel/DC movies because fun? What is fun? We're all about the serious, brooding type with a sprinkle of funny moments here and there. Oh, and her fat girl friend also got a boo thang at the end, so first movie that I've seen where they didn't snub a fat girl from getting love.

The Meg. Jason Statham gets put in the most stupid situation you can think of featuring a giant shark. It’s almost like an Olympic sport watching him try to stay serious through out the movie
As a screenwriter, I REALLY appreciate that there is a "save the cat" scene where the protagonist literally tries to save a cat. But not only that. It's also the "save the cat" scene for the main love interest as well. I appreciate the streamlining of the writing.
I would love to see Kennie talk about Josie and the Pussycats. It’s not a “bad movie” but another feminine camp masterpiece that didn’t get the credit it deserved (also solid evidence that Tara Reid is actually a good actor).
This was one movie that my parents said I loved to watch when I was a young girl. I'm 22 now and I honestly can't remember anything from that movie lol
I watched this movie when I was about five or six years old with my mom and I absolutely loved it. I remember loving how she played Patience/Catwoman. She was so badass towards the middle of the movie and I was here for it.

I LOVED this movie as a child. I've stayed at night just to watch it whenever they put it on TV. One of the movies that made me belive in my power as a woman in a misogenic society we live in.
I was the little curly headed brown girl with glasses who was absurdly socially inept and sort of floating through life, at the time this movie came out. This movie SPOKE to me. It was bright, fun, campy, and empowering. It showed child-me a character who looked like me and took charge of her life. I was never a cat person and was obviously not interested in being “sexy”, but I was interested in learning how to be confident. Also, the soundtrack was iconic. I stand by that. 2000s club music meets typical movie soundtrack themes. Love it.
One of my favorite parts of this movie was the cat scene where they revive her, it’s honestly beautiful, also the part where she escapes the police station and jumps out the window, like man the feeling I get every time I see her flip and land like a cat, like that’s a bad bitch.
When we were 14, my bestfriend and I tried to sneak into the movie Little Black Book but we accidently walked into the Catwoman theater instead and were not disappointed.
Even thou it’s a bad movie part of me still luv to watch this as a guilty pleasure. I grew up with this movie. I honestly enjoy this more than the new DC movies
As a kid I had an absolute FIXATION on this movie. We had it on VHS and I'm pretty sure I wore out the tape. It's one of the only superhero movies that really caught my interest as a child, I'm so glad it's enjoying a well-deserved resurgence now!
I feel like the main reason a lot of people were mad was because they wanted an actual dc comic catwoman movie but instead they got this😂 which i agree is a childhood favorite. People just don’t understand it’s a completely different story😂
That is the exact reason, and the reason I hated this movie. Imagine going to go see an Avengers movie, and instead of Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, and Hulk, you get a knockoff version of those characters all going by new names. Imagine going to see Black Panther and instead of T'Challa, you get the village goat farmer.

I would like to say tho that the comics have been going on for such a long time now, with so many different iterations that writers could essentially pull from any era and claim they were being accurate. Like I would say Berry's Cat Woman is pretty similar to Batman Year One from 1987.

I'm a fan of super hero stuff in general and I did not give one single care that they went so far off from Batman's Selene Kyle Catwoman. I appreciated this movie as the separate and totally individual masterpiece that it was. The actors, the outfits, the way they animated her running along walls!? Ugh. Perfection. And I stand by that.
not a makeup person just a kennie person so it amazes me to watch her do stuff i can never do so effortlessly. like she will cut back from the movie and im like girl wait what and how was that sorcery. also im feeling every inch of the halle berry renaissance
Not even 10 minutes into this video and already I’m like yes I love this movie since I was a young girl my mom would turn it on while she would do my hair and I loved it completely and then people would say it’s terrible and horrible and I’m just like did we watch the same movie? I just rewatch it last week and I was like hell yes it’s still great to me 💜
Pretty sure most of the hate came from the "it's not accurate to the comics" camp. If you don't care about all that, then this is a highly entertaining movie my younger self couldn't appreciate properly. Also that costume is so 😩👌🏼
