An "Update" video of sorts, idk, never done it.

The change in content is not sudden, as explained it's simply due to these playthrough videos being repetitive for me. So personally, I want to try to do something else. Of course, not everyone is going to want the change, but I still want to try it.

I'm really glad to see most (all?) comments here are positive, and basically encourage you to do whatever you fancy. You can try to please your audience, but you should never do it at your own expense. Even if you lose some viewers, you might very well gain a lot more, by just doing what suits you. Good luck!

Do what you want to do! You can't impede yourself thinking that people might not like it! And if you want to do filler videos that's great, but if your heart isn't in it and it wants to do that big project, just go all down with that big project (in a healthy manner)! Good luck, and with how much less you get confused on half-explained puzzles it does seem your brain has gotten smarter

Maybe for the other styles you want, the reviews or other types of games or commentary or whatever, maybe start with shorter, 5 minute videos on smaller games. Gets ya used to the format and helps you learn while still keeping a reasonable pace of videos because they're smaller :)

Try out some halo mods like Halo 3:Arrival I feel it would be a good choice since it is similar to your content and because it deviates from half life content as well

Well, in my opinion if you want to change something, then just do it :D One group people just stay at your half life videos, second will like Half Life and your new "Projects", third group only new... Never know :D You can make what you want, the question is, your priority is try something new or make people have fun. Maybe both :D Try new things, I and other people probably wait for you another Half Life videos and totally new videos, new projects :3 Good luck and have fun ^^

I recommend Fallout (3 or New Vegas are the best), or Paint the Town Red; if you want to stick with source games you could try Portal
