I really like the interface design. I don't know if I like the whole getting rid of the CT vs T thing though. I'd stick with the original but I want that interface.
Counter-Strike Neo is a Japanese arcade adaptation of Counter-Strike, the original Half-Life multiplayer modification. It is published by Namco, and runs on a Linux system. According to an article in 2006, significant changes in this version include moving away from the traditional Terrorist versus Counter-Terrorist scenario and incorporating a matchmaking and Elo-derived rating system to help keep players and teams on even footing. Thanks Wikipedia !
There is a special edition of Counter Strike made for the asian market. It doesn't use steam and it's basically Counter-Strike 1.6 with a few more player models.
@noobasaurus253 Late to the party on this, but the Japanese Half-Life is the Half-Life everyone else got. This version of CS was created because they thought it would catch Japan's eye more readily than the proto-Modern Warfare shooter CS was. The version of HL2 created was a boiled-down version created for Japanese arcades. Also includes multiplayer, and the scrapped Combine assassin. I've seen screenies, and the only differences is the writing's in Japanese, not English.
This game is pretty much Humans VS Aliens. I've read an article the reason that put it that way coz Human killing another human is somewhat disrespectful? IDK I FORGOT but it seems interesting to try
@XmorphinX Anyways, back to the topic at hand. A weaboo is someone who watches anime.... 24/7. I know, it's sad that there are people that actually do that.
Okay, so that was like two messages coming out at once...meant to ask what you felt was so bad about it, especially from just watching a video of one round of gameplay.
They made it this way because apparently the Japanese aren't too keen with the usual Terrorist/CT thing. I don't know, they're Japanese. I'm sure our version looks weird to them too. Personally, I kinda like the art direction. Not saying there's anything wrong with the current one, just saying I like that one too.
Because if it doesn't contain pointy hair, robots, "cool" suits, pretty-boys and insanely huge swords wielded by 30 pound females, it ain't japanese. It's really easy to see if characters or games are made by Koreans and Japanese.
