Yes and no. It's a hilarious scene (and I've seen worse in kid shows), but at the same time it is still a show for kids and there needs to be some limitations
Anakin: What the f*ck? The Bad Batch: She's our girl Rex: I'm sorry Anakin: Get that sh*t off Rex: Please don't kill them Anakin: I won't today. But I might someday
Maybe that’s how The Bad Batch will end. They become so big a threat to the Empire that Sidious dispatches Vader to take care of them (don’t worry, Omega lives, to appear in The Manalorian Season 3). Before he kills Hunter, Vader brings up this moment, and Hunter realizes who Vader is.
The real reason they deleted it was to give Padme one final scene. Dave Feloni said in an interview that season 7 wasn’t meant to be the end of the clone wars series but when they were putting the scenes together Dave realized Padme wasn’t going to get a final scene. She’d been a big part of the show and he wanted her to get a little sentimental send off. So they made the scene where Anakin talked to who via hologram and putting that scene in right before a joke scene about Padme just wouldn’t have meshed very well So that’s the real reason they took it out
Thats all fine and dandy but they had no right to remove the decimator droid scene in the next episode, especially since they didn’t replace it with anything and just straight up cut it out
@@Richforce1You thought it was something said by no one involved at any point, as opposed to what Filoni has been reported as saying, when the same artwork was shown in the softer rated Rebels anyway?
The Fact that you could not even sneeze next to Padmé without Anakin giving you the most anger filled side eyes known to man, indeed Wrecker is only alive thanks to the plot 😂
That would have been a bit much. Imagine the imperial march playing every time something happens that Anakin doesn't like. *Anakin hits his pinky toe against the furniture* *Quiet Imperial March starts playing in the backgorund*
Fun fact: that pinup was actually reused in Rebels, it was a wall decoration inside Rex, Wolffe and Gregor's AT-TE. It can be seen behind Wolffe when he's talking to Kallus in Season 2 Relics of the Old Republic.
@@Honorbound43 Imma turn the funny sad. What if the reason the old clones keep that poster is because that is the only surviving memorabilia of Padmé that they have, and they want a reminder of the good ones and what the stood for. It's crude, but it's all they have left.
That picture did show up in rebels background in Rex's walker, so it maybe canon with the Bad batch actually persuaded to remove it, and Rex somehow kept a copy.
@@seto_kaiba_ basically the ok I could tolerate you but now I REALLY want this mission over with, with Rex trying to rein his general in from not choking one of them out.
I remember seeing this years ago when the, at the time, unreleased clone wars arcs were leaked on youtube. Laughed so hard at seeing rex side-eye it as he walked up the ramp
Anakin’s biggest flaw from the start was just how much he never ever being able to keep his emotions in check; he barely hid his relationship with Padme and wore every impulse emotion on his sleeve
I had to scrub that off covertly. They asked me what happened, and I had to say someone washed it off by accident. Gotta feel bad for the fellow they though scrubbed it off.
Dave wanted to because he felt it was a pretty funny scene but since these episodes were the last we would have seen padme he wanted to give her a more ‘respectful’ send off, hence the new padme scene we got
I love this scene, but it would be awkward seeing Padme on the ship after Order 66. Although it would illicit sadness seeing it and remind us how the galaxy has changed, it would probably be a distraction each episode.
It's a shame they never gave this kind of provocative spotlight to Anakin's wife. This more adult touch would have further highlighted the reason he fell so madly in love with her. Interestingly, the beginning of these two was incredible because the boy Anakin saw in Padmé an angelic figure, a higher being. She was definitely not just any woman. But later it seems they gave up on turning her into a muse like they did with Princess Leia.
I'd imagine there were probably numerous pinups (of various species and genders) emblazoning Republic vehicles given the WWII aesthetic Lucas went with. Aayla Secura, Obi-Wan etc. must have rolled many an eye after seeing themselves depicted on various Gun Ships and AT-TE's etc. Anakin was probably on more than a few himself.
Although I doubt that Anakin and Obi-wan made clones horny. Padme and Aayla on the other hand, probably made a lot of clones horny. Oh, and don't forget about Shaak Ti.
@@bizmasterTheSlav Anikan and Obi-Wan were probably used more as propaganda and added for inspiration. Perhaps similar to nose art of wolf mouths and shark mouths on WWII fighter aircraft. Of course we are speculating here but who knows.
@@sleeplessknight99 Probably no gay clones. They're all physically, neurologically, environmentally, identical. They differentiate after full sexual maturation. Don't see how offshoots with radically different dispositions or tastes could really occur without either being a bad batch-type or spending significant time away from the culture of the other clones.
They didn't cut the scene because it was offensive/Innecesary nor misplaced; they cuted it because it would be a plot hole that Anakin didn't killed them
I’m glad they got rid of this scene and replaced it with what we got. Anakin and Padme talking, Rex trying to cover up for them and stall Obi Wan and Anakin just brushing it off to Obi Wan. But the best part is Obi Wan letting Anakin know he knows about Padme and their relationship. And Obi Wan isn’t mad or starts belittling Anakin, he’s honestly happy for Anakin.
Imagine in Bad Batch, Vader sees a picture or painting of Padmé and zones out long enough for someone to get the drop on him. Then Vader snaps back and has the most rageful slaughter of his life.
If I remember correctly, this was going to be included, but because Padme got so little screen time in the final season, Dave didn't want a fairly sexist depiction of her to be her final send-off of the series. That's why the scene where Anakin talks to Padme was added, giving her a much better send-off into ROTS.
@@meridaskywalker7816 well because padme was married in secret with anakin and as it was in secret and the Jedi order didn’t know then the clones knew less about that which makes them (kinda) innocent but is true that being represented in a more personal pose in the side of a shuttle would be very discomforting for anyone
@@eaturcookiescookie7462 I understood that. I just think depicting someone in this way without their permission is wrong, no matter if they're single or not.
I’d be pissed too if my wife was on the side of a vehicle like that too in a provocative way. Wrecker is lucky Anakin did not force choke his ass for his comment, I would have for “disrespecting a political figure” as the excuse.
