Was the reason you chose the EFX send over the inserts that you wanted to EQ the effected signal?

i wanted to preserve the original guitar signals and just beef them up a little bit in the stereo image. And I only wanted this in the B sections, so I needed a way to pull them in and out. let me know if that makes sense!

@@MadeOnTape Makes total sense. I just learned about send fx when I got my DP-24. I always recorded everything wet. I had no clue when I was recording on my Tascam 424 that I could do anything stereo or use send effects. 😂😂😂

yo! That's my Musicman Stingray, with nylon tapewound strings, and the real kicker is the JHS Packrat. I set it with extremely low distortion and it ends up breaking up like a tube amp. It's so sick!

@@MadeOnTape Beautiful! I have been thinking of getting a MM Stingray for a while now but can only afford the Sterling version atm! And nylon tapewounds are a nice choice. I initially thought they might be flats. I am going to give this a go. Thankyou for responding :)

That Dimension C fattens those part up for sure. Very subtle, but listeners won't know what kinda special sauce you layed down, but its there!! ✌

Could you connect directly the mic in front of the amp to the tascam? When I do that it doesn't work 😭 I guess the signal is too low. Am I doing something wrong?. When I put a signal from a drum machine to the porta two the level is ok

if it’s a mic that doesn’t need phantom power, yes! I also recommend the Whirlwind IMP impedance transformer for these machines that have a 1/4” insert for the microphone
