I appreciate that he didn’t lose sight of the issue of promoting alcohol to younger people…

I'm not diagnosing anybody in this video, only speculating on whether or not we are living a nightmare and hoping someone will wake us up soon.

Coincidentally I just read about a guy who was locked in a Budweiser warehouse for three days. He survived by drinking his own urine.

I can relate to how the Doctor pronounces "Tik-Tok" like it confuses him. It's ok, Doc; it confuses us all.

Dr Grande is an absolute legend at throwing in a scathing comment with a perfectly straight face and never changing his cadence. It’s beautiful and nearly poetic.

I'm a detransitioner, I'm so glad I feel better now and I'm okay with my body. Starting to transition was the worst decision I've ever made but I'm glad I stopped before getting any surgeries. Edit: I realize I need to explain a few things: I'm from Europe and were I'm from before starting hormones or getting surgery you have to get approved in therapy, I was never approved but I was closed. My therapist wanted me to start them and she also told me that she would get money after I got surgery (I swear it happened, if you don't believe it I don't care). She told me surgeons and therapists have a "deal" and they make a lot it money. I was 19 so I wasn't a kid. I believe I felt like I wanted to transition because I have been assaulted and that changed me. I was also not sober and wasn't clear mentally. I've always been a supporter of the community and this is definitely not being in denial. I was confused and always under too many meds. I'm now in rehab and about to graduate from college. I'm a woman and I'm happy I never took testosterone or got my boobs cut off. I've learned to love my body. I want to say again that I'm not against trans people, I believe they exist but I think it should be illegal to let kids transition. I was 19 and I'm glad I had my parents who knew me and knew I wasn't trans. They took the time to understand the situation and talk to me into a bit of clearness. Detransitioners are real and it's shocking that when we say something like this we get asked for proof and are taken as liars. This is not that rare. I believe detransitioners numbers will unfortunately go up. Listen to us as well and be nice, life wasn't hard for me but I'm starting to get better. Thank you.

I don't usually comment on videos, but I think I feel compelled to here because it's so refreshing to hear such a balanced and fair analysis of a topic that usually is skewed so heavily in one way or the other. Well done Doc. I agree with the statement that a person's rights extend until they make contact with another person's rights. Also, I'm not sure if you've already made a video regarding this or if you're familiar with it, but I'd be interested to hear your take on a situation from 1967 where Mr Ron Jones, a history teacher in California ran a social experiment that turned his school into a fascist movement in 5 days, to answer a student's question "How could German citizens participate in Nazism? We would never do that." There was a film made about this event called "The Wave." I ask because I feel there are similarities between it and how our society seems to be trending, and I'd be very interested in your thoughts on this. Thank you!

Yes the battle lines are clearly drawn. Open minded, honest discussions are difficult. Knee jerk reactions and tribalism are much easier ways for many people to deal with difficult and nuanced subjects.

I give you lots of credit for talking about this. No matter what you say you'll make lots of people angry.

I have discovered Dr. Grande recently and watched several of his videos. I've fallen in love with his dry delivery. I think he does a great job of being impartial in the topics he covers.

My Dad always said, "My rights end where your nose begins." In other words, rights are broad, but not to be pushed onto others.

Whoa! So glad I listened to the end. At 16:00, Dr Grande uses the example of a married couple with very different attitudes about spending seeking counseling as an analogy to the way a political solution should be sought. Golden! "The counselor would not tell them that what they need is more hate and accusations rather the therapist would tell them that they need to find common ground and figure out the problem. They need more understanding of each other and there is no rush to make any decisions. In the end, an unhappy compromise is probably better than an eternal war."

The emphasis you use when saying "Tik Tok" is awesome

I think the issue with women's sports is similar to sports with weight classes. A 170 lb wrestler doesn't fight against a 210 lb wrestler because the physical difference gives the heavier guy an unfair advantage. Even if the 170 lb guy is the best wrestler in his weight class, he cannot do as well going up against someone who is physically larger and more muscular. Same deal with women's sports. What's between your legs doesn't affect your performance but the rest of your anatomy certainly does.

I think you hit the nail on the head when you said that some of the people promoting transgender ideology seem to have never interacted in a meaningful way with a transgender person. I would bet that many trans people do not like their personal struggles being used as political fodder.

I think what made so many people angry is that many products seem to be politicized now. People don't want politics being constantly injected into their lives, they just want to enjoy their lives and not always think about politics.

Interesting topic. I went to the gym last year and headed to the shower. I walked into the shower naked and saw a naked bio female. My first thought was that I just got naked in the women’s locker room. But no, I was in the right place. This other person, who looked an awful lot like a female to me, said, “It’s OK. I’m trans.” I got to say, it made me feel weird.

Out of all the people that could possibly opine on culture war issues, Dr. Grande is perhaps by far the most important, because of how reasonable all his arguments are. He is not partisan on any issue and does not fan the flames, while uncompromisingly telling it like it is. He seems to be trying to diagnose a COUNTRY psychologically - a country which is on the verge of a collective mental crisis of globally cataclysmic proportions. Thanks, Dr. Grande, for your courage to opine on this from a centrist perspective.

Budweiser is owned by AB InBev...the parent company of a huge number of beer brands worldwide...if you're drinking beer, even if it's not Bud Light, you're likely still putting money in their pockets...pretty sure they aren't worried about a decline in Bud Light sales, because people just buy more of their other brands not realizing they're still buying from the same company...

Every time I watch all of the drama unfolding on social media and I am convinced that everyone has lost their ability to reason, I come here for my Dr Grande fix so I can be convinced that there is at least ONE person in this world that can still apply common sense to any situation. Definitely disappointing that the mainstream media seems to play a big role in our inability to have a real conversation about this topic. Both sides are being misrepresented, almost like the voices shouting the loudest these days would rather us be at war with eachother. Dylan Mulvaney did musicals and theatre while in college and graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in musical theater. She is doing a character and it took off and now she's very famous and likely wealthy before prior to this day of girlhood thing she was a struggling actor. If you watch any video of her it's over the top theatre acting but somehow many people take her seriously. Her surgery was just some minor cosmetic surgery too likely to keep the cash flowing and make the character sell to more people who were skeptical before. She is likely already a multi-millionaire or will be in the next few years. This act is paying off.

The sad thing about the truth of what you're saying is that that means there are no highly visible, informed advocates for the well-being of the transgendered in this whole heated debate. I'd be interested to know who in your opinion is an advocate in academia, or what school of thought in academia works according to the most enlightened principles for resolving the problem of transgender.

I think the way Dr. Grande puts it is pretty much how most people view this issue. I think one of the problems we face as humans is that even though we mostly agree, if there are 10 people in a room and one person feels very strongly about something the 9 other people will try to avoid the topic that this one person feels strongly about, and we end up creating this twilight zone of anxiety by not being honest out of fear, or allowing the conversation to start with a few awkward but necessary foe paws and miss steps. Honestly is hampered when a person doesn't have a lot of skin in the game but the risk for talking about something taboo is very high, unfortunately the down stream effect of not confronting minor issues can lead humanity to some dark places later on.

Appreciate your clarity on this issue. Not a fan of Big Gender corrupting every single issue it touches. Even actual "LGBT" people are over it.

The corporate world pulled another hustle and got everybody talking about a beer which I will not drink because it's a manipulative marketing ploy.
