Analysis: Severed Steel - Woo Shooter Fun 

Man imagine the game FPS set in mid 2000s. Urban enviorments, slow mo , woo shooter, dual wield guns, SWAT enemies. The tone should be like SWAT 4 but with green lamps and lasers like in Splinter cell. Weapons should be usp45, automatic glock, Mac 10, UZI, UMP45, MP5 , m249, m4 with no atachments except grip and flashlight and semi automatic shotguns like spas12 and usas 12. There should be upgrades for weapons and it should be simple 3 per weapon and final upgrade should make weapon chrome and black.Player upgrades should be dual wield pistols, smgs, shotguns, rifles,Saw... Grenades should be artisticly wih red blinkin thing like in HL2. Blood and gore is needed and breaking glass on swat helmet would be awesome. Music should be tactical,adrenaline combined with breakbeat rythm, also guitars. Location should be NY. And physics for enemies should be like in MoH Airborne.I like to imagine all that in Unreal Engine 4 with destructable enviorments and lots of glass shattering. That's Woo shooter i would like to play.

Been looking at this game for a while don't know if you are still giving keys away but I would love to play this destructible environment bullet time madness! And even if not thank you for the chance.

Sweet! I hope to be a winner, since this game looks like a lot of fun! Plus, any game that plays like F.E.A.R. but has none of the....well *fear*, is cool in my book!

I only wish I covered it sooner but I guess showing off all the content added in updates isn't so bad.

Amazing game. Also, quick question. Does the player have true fps, or are there separate leg animations for when you slide and kick?

@@ruffleraveninc3602 thanks. The character body is one mesh, so arms are on same model as legs.

@@mattwla Wow, so the whole thing is animated as one piece? That must’ve been a complicated anim tree.

@@ruffleraveninc3602 unreal has a lot of convenient functions to blend and manipulate animations so it wasn't too difficult!

Turbo overkill is a boomer shooter, very different than a woo shooter.

That's not quite what I'm asking for. I'm asking for the ability to hold a button down allowing you to then flip in the air. I've played fps games in space that worked like this and it was pretty intuitive.

One "Woo shooter" I used to play a ton of back in the day is "Double Action: Boogaloo". It's pretty much a free-to-play action game made in the Source engine. It's a bit janky but also a ton of fun.

Double Action Boogaloo is a game inspired by The Specialists. Hard Bullet is a woo shooter for VR. My Friend Pedro is a 2.5D woo shooter. Not sure Super Hot and Hotline Miami count as woo shooters.

It's definitely not mouse smoothing. I made sure it was disabled.
