A little while ago, Ghost Galaxy released an article on Gamefound revealing a whole bunch of spoilers for the upcoming special set, Tokens of Change! It's a set that revisits the token creature mechanic from Winds of Exchange, and I am super hype for it!

Yep, it's a side set, exactly! I think GG calls them "special sets."

I like the Redemption Outpost. The effect is very powerful and probably a lot of fun, I am however bummed that it is not a reprint friendly effect. It makes me mildly concerned that they don't plan on putting house Redemption in an other sets for a while, which would be a darn shame.

I definitely do hope to see more of Redemption in the future indeed! Agreed their outpost is sick, even if not reprint friendly like you mentioned.

Nice analysis, I agree with all of it. The Niffle Brute art makes me want to play with Untamed token card backs (like the seven 32 card token sets for the houses in WoE). I wonder if they will be making them for this set.

I wonder if Whimsical Conjuror can trigger multiple times if you have duplicates. Prowler looks fun. Somewhat unassuming but if you just forged, its a great way to get back up to 6 quickly while your opponent is taken off key. Same power that gamgee has and that card proves to be useful for me and is often never dealt with.

That might make Whimsical Conjuror a bit better if two copies would both trigger off one pip haha, nice catch! Definitely agree about Prowler as well.

Ok, I have a question/gripe about token creatures. It always felt super disruptive when token creatures were introduced, to turn a card I was waiting for, into a token creature. Am I doing it wrong or is that how it's supposed to be? It always feels like my best cards are turned into the token creatures 😅

You're doing it right! That's part of the risk of making tokens, you may end up turning a card you want into one lol. That's why cards like Future Booster and Grunt Work are so nice to have! But yeah, the fact that you may lose key cards to tokenization has turned some people off from WoE.
