Wasn't a huge fan of this song at first, but one year later it has really grown on me. Actually, now that I think about it, that is true of much of Anberlin's music. They age like a fine wine.

I got to see them perform in LA on my birthday, both in 2014 and this year, and I had the best time. Seeing them one more time was very cathartic, and I’m so grateful to have been there!

Been chasing these guys around since blue prints for the black market. They may not be a band anymore, but they will always be legendary and their music is still very much alive. Rock on! This band was and will always transcend music of our generation.
This song suddenly came into my head. I listened to it constantly when it first came out, about a year before I started high school. I'm about to graduate now. I still remember all the words, every scene of the video. The nostalgia's hitting me hard :')

lol I had a similar experience with this song. I could only remember the video and the guitar intro. I ended up having to do song/year association and started going title by title on www.songfacts.com. The second I saw the band name on another song I immediately recognized it and popped on youtube to find it. Mission accomplished! B)
Yeah, the praise / corporate worship music is pretty much all they play now and its just the same song written over and over by different "artist". I miss the days of DC talk and Jars of clay.
Back when i started listening to them, I was a thorogh rock and roll guy. I thought they were just a nice rock band. But about a decade later, with my music preferences turned inside out, I still felt this song ringing in my head from one of the old days and I still love it. And I can't put my finger on what it is really that caused it. Maybe it was timing. Nonetheless. So beautiful.

My fave song by Anberlin, followed closely by Day Late Friend song. This band's so brilliant, it's annoying how they don't have more worldwide recognition compared with other commercial bands who are rubbish in comparison to this band.
I am not big into concerts, so I missed their ticket sales in Vegas some years back. But they did a free concert with breakfast on the patio of a local station, X107.5 and it was amazing. It was an acoustic set but I can tell you that Stephen Christian's voice is the real deal and was just as captivating acoustic/acapella as it is on a fancy studio record. Though their music sounds like the kind written acoustically first and converted to rock.
Honestly this is probably my favorite Anberlin song (up against "A Day Late"). Something about it just so powerful, especially the chorus. I just reviewed their new/final album "Lowborn" on my channel, check it out and let me know what you're thinking of it!
