To all the “Anbernic release too many devices” - yeah that’s usually how it works with Chinese emulator devices, which are basically made of spare parts. That’s also why each new model isn’t necessarily an upgrade. When the parts change the model has to change. Retro gamers letting that turn into FOMO is ridiculous.
They're not collectables though, I got this but wouldn't buy another handheld unless it was something way more powerful. I got this over the 35xxh because of the larger screen, and over the 35xxsp because I don't like the gba sp shape or feel
The p**nhub logo when you start or stop a game is cringe. This isn't the first time a chinese handheld maker has put PH logos in their UI either. Whats their obsession with it
I installed RetroArch on my Galaxy back in the spring but didn't download the roms until recently. I love RetroArch on the phone and it plays best with a controller.
Was looking at this in Downtown Chinatown the other day Mark. Looks really interesting and amazed to see a video of it as your recent upload bro. Well done as always. 8^) Anthony..
To be honest, Anbernic is starting to make the handheld console market oversturated... I get that it's good to have a lot of choices, but releasing one almost every month can get tiring especially if you already own one... Always a pleasure seeing your videos, Mark... To review an item right out of the box and original settings shows perspective on what to get.
Thks for the comment. I fully agree with the number of releases Anbernic are pumping out. It's too much. Also, thanks for the out of the box review comment. Many want to see a modded console but what's the point? A review should show what you're actually paying for.
If Nintendo would release a variant of the current Switch, after the release of the Switch 2; that was the same size of this device AND had Bluetooth and HDMI out; I would be very happy with that and finally stop looking at these devices. I already have (and am building my collection) of all the retro games I would want to play; on my Switch account, minus Nintendo's own retro games (because they rather rent them for foolish reasons) and I really am getting tired of chasing these devices, as the always have some fatal flaw or get boring after a few months of buying them.
