We have the writing of the disciples of the Apostles and the disciples of those disciples, and they not only quote much of the New Testament, but all the core idea of Christianty are present. Jesus being God, the Son of God, dying for sins, burial, resurrection, ascension to heaven. We also have writing of Jewish and Pagan contemporary historians who were hostile towards Jesus, who say the same things : Jesus being worshipped as God, the Son of God, dying for on the cross, burial, resurrection. Past tense: for them who have believed, they have been saved, legally as far as the Judge is concerned, through their trust in the Savior…ie, they HAVE BEEN delivered from all their past/present/future GUILT and been thoroughly cleansed by Jesus’ blood once and for all… 2.Present Tense: we are to “work out our own salvation”/sanctification by following hard after Jesus, in the power of the Holy Spirit…that is salvation, not from guilt (above), but from the POWER of sin/Satan/world’s corruption…(Note: there IS merit in “being faithful unto death” and that faithfulness will be rewarded with a “prize/crown” at the Judgment Seat of Christ, but the reward for faithful service as a bond slave of Christ is very different from earning Salvation, which is a GIFT by definition: no amount of good works can undo the evil of our disobedience…moreover, we continue sinning even after we come to faith/“obedience of the Gospel”…we can NEVER be PERFECT enough to DESERVE to be in God’s holy presence…that’s why Jesus had to be sacrificed in our stead, for our justification/redemption) 3.Future Tense: only when this earthly life/struggle against sin is over will we be fully perfected, when we are taken into His presence and when we will see Him as He is…that’s future salvation from the PRESENCE of sin. Definitely pray and ask God to strengthen you with power to resist alcohol. You will need healing so God will help there, too, but you probably should find out from a doctor just what condition your body is in. Many churches have substance abuse groups which are there to help you get through your addiction. Sometimes God just heals our body, but often we need to do our part (because we did the damage). Nevertheless, God loves you more than you can imagine, despite your flaws. Don’t think you can out sin His love. - Find a support group. I will pray for you.

That’s a good question. The answer is that He and the Father are one God from the beginning of time and creation. Jesus knew what would happen before He came to earth and was born from a Virgin in Bethlehem. He grew through childhood astonishing the religious Jewish leaders with His spiritual knowledge. He revealed His ability to create miracles at the wedding in Cana just as His earthly ministry was starting. - Jesus did not need to “learn” anything. All Scriptures were written through men of God by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit (the third member of the Trinity.) When Jesus returns to earth, soon we hope, He will gather His followers to return to a new heaven that He has prepared for His people.

The septuagint (greek copy of the O.T), includes other books in it like the apocryphal book of Judith (such book NOT found in the O.T. written in the ORIGINAL hebrew language) that teaches wrongly that Nebuchadnezzar was the king of Assyria ruling in Nineveh, instead, of being the king of babylon, in itself, this false information found in the septuagint, should raise the alarm about the veracity of the septuagint, also, the septuagint is NOT accurate when it comes to the total years of life of some of the people that lived BEFORE the flood, it teaches erroneously based on it's wrong calculations, that some people, lived beyond the universal flood that were NOT mentioned being inside Noe's Ark as survivors, but, the most ludicrous idea about the septuagint, is that some people are valuing and giving more credence to it instead of the original O.T. written in the ORIGINAL HEBREW LANGUAGE (NOT in greek), also, the scholarly catholic leaning community, ARE giving more importance to the septuagint rather than supposedly "newer" Bible documents, because they have determined that the septuagint is "older", just be very aware of that, they claim that the apostles and even Jesus quoted the septuagint because the NT and septuagint are connected because they were both written in greek, but to arrive to that conclusion is at best flawed.., I believe wholeheartedly, that God preserved his Word (just like The Bible says it), either, the O.T. written in the original hebrew and also, the N.T. written in the original greek, and that the KJV copy of The Bible that we have today IS the INERRANT Word of God WITHOUT all those apocryphal books found in the flawed septuagint, to think otherwise, it will bring only confusion and ERROR. It is the catholic church that is behind the NIV, and this last one, heavily influenced by "much older" biblical writings based on the septuagint and apocryphal books, for example, the false interpretation, that mary married joseph when she was 12 years old and that she became a surrogate mother to joseph's childrens that he had with his "first wife", this false story it is only found in the apocrypha which is a collection of fables endorsed by the roman catholic church to back up their claims that mary never had any other children after Jesus and that she never had any sex with joseph and remained a virgin until her death, though the Bible says otherwise.
