They would have had access to incredibly cutting edge healthcare, medical technologies, superior diets, egalitarian philosophy and more robust adaptations then we have. Though it is subjective its like comparing us homo sapien sapien being more attractive then our ancient ancestors (homo erectus, habilis, neanderthalis, astrolopithicus etc ) - with better health, medical treatment, better diet (mostly), live longer, more intelligent etc... probably humans in 300 years will live far longer than the upper 120 year life records we have experienced so far and consider us "primitive looking".

Though prehistoric humans and San'Shyuums were allies, during Human-Forerunner War, relationship was deteriorating to the point San'Shyuums even secretly made pact with Forerunners.

Who knows what lifestyles, attitudes, philosophies and sociology beholds the far future. What may seem "gross" and unthinkable to us humans in the 20th century, may simply be acceptable and joyas to humans in the 24th Century. I like to think myself as open minded and progressive, but I would ultimately still be the product and relic of my time today.

One of the books I read though I cant remember which one does..... It was Broken circles I believe that confirms they are still alive just being kept as the prophets back pocket secret. They send an expedition there to acquire female sanshyum to deepen their genetic pool. They were very advanced in the Biological field of science relying on that instead of your more modern technology. They did have some ground to space missiles though.

It's likely that Janjur Qom is indeed gone - and here is my reasoning. Contemporary San'Shyuum by the 2500's were facing a crisis of genetic degredation due to a population size too small, and too inbred to sustain itself for much longer. (I'll circle back to this.) This is supported in the books by the 'rolls of celebacy', a list of San'Shyuum that while permitted to have as much hedonistic sex they wanted, were forbidden to sire a child - due to the genetic ramifications - Even the High Prophets were bound to this law. Now, we also know that the San'Shyuum were a species with a particularly "flexible morality'. It would not be unreasonable to think, that given their dire genetic situation, that they would not raid their home planet simply for mating consorts for the sake of genetic diversity. Why would they allow themselves to degrade as such? This might be a good theory for their TRUE motivations for initiating the great journey. They knew they were the last of their species, and we know that they are an incredibly selfish race. Rather than let themselves just "fade away", they saw their end coming and like a drowning man, thrashing and grasping for anything to "save" themselves - and the legends of the "Gods" ascending ia the 'Great Journey' seamed like the perfect answer to their situation. Taking everyone else with them was just incidental - They were *that* selfish.

If Stoics and Janjur Qom is still alive, ther is still hope for San'Shyuums. Of course, Stoics won't oppose humans and Covenant remnants as they were not part of the Covenants. I'd say Stoics looks pretty similar to Prehistoric San'Shyuums as they lived in higher gravity of their planet. Ancient San'Shyuums were technologically powerful as Forerunners and Humans. I heard in terms of brewing skills, they surpass that of Forerunners. Back then, San'Shyuums were attractive being by Forerunners and humans' standard more concernedwith physical beauty, sexuality, and youth. In games, we only saw older prophets but younger San'Shyuums had shorter neck and more defined figures and face, making them very identical to Humans and Forerunners, enough for three species to find one another attractive. One of prelates, Tem'Bhetek has straight figure and shorter and stable neck compared to hierarchs. Also his facial feature is more defined.

Who’s to say the Precursors returning is a bad thing? After all only a couple of them were ever known to be corrupted and them returning for revenge doesn’t fit what 00 said in a video about possibility of them returning since they accept the cycle of life and death, so there’s a good possibility that the Precursors returning might be a good thing.

again since ancient humanity had some time manipluation abilty its entirly possible theres some vault out there in the milkyway with a entire base of ancient san shyum and humans left in stasis chambers like the proteans from mass effect tried to do and since they were frozen in time they wouldnt have been wiped out by the halo array

Ancient San Shyuum were considered to be very beautiful by both Ancient Human and Forerunner standards, and the Ancient San Shyuum were tall, athletic active beings that were a far cry from the decrepit parapalegic ballchins we often see with the Covenant. They were brilliant with science and tech, and greatly valued art and beauty. They were essentially less-arrogant equivalents to elves.

The secret that their home world was still inhabited probably died with the highest ranking prophets. If you read Broken circles though I believe that is the book that they reveal the stoics are still alive and terrifying just chilling on their home planet with genetically created moss tigers of death.

Considering their mastery and centuries-long research upon Precursor tech and history, It's highly likely that they knew about the sins of the Forerunners back in the days. It's is one of the contributing factors of their refusal to surrender or just explain their actions to gain small understanding with the Forerunners.

DIMENTIONS If the Flood returned then humanity and the Prophets would probably have an alliance but it would end after the threat was defeated.

To be fair, the stoics weren't involved with the Covenant.

If human can ally with Thel' Vadam or who orchestrated the fall of Reach, it is not too much of a pipe dream. But on his defense he did not choose to wage this war, it was the prophets who did.

I think humanity forgotten all the things happened because of the Forerunner-Human Alliance war When the Forerunners decided to regress Humanity back to tribal and stone age people Though, there is a chance modern day humanity in the Halo universe can recover these knowledge. From what the Forerunners left in the galaxy, and including an Ancient combat ship that ONI found out that they slowly uncovered that its made by Ancient Humans. So most likely ONI and some of the UNSC higher ups knows or knows some of the history about Ancient Humanity and possibly the alliance with the San'Shayuum It just that they are suppressing these knowledge, or 343 is not using it yet as they might make a game with that context

to be fair they had a cure that would of given them time to wipe out the flood but the forerunners ingored all attempts to explain why humanity was despratly conquering things for resoruces to stop the flood

Guywith Aplan Then why did ancient humanity quite literally wipe all of its research on the cure when they were about to lose the war.... maybe it wasn’t a full blown cure but it sounds like it made progress atleast and so them wiping the cure as a final spite against the forerunners makes sense

@@targitausrithux2320 the flood pretended to ignore certain individuals, which led to ancient humanity researching them and developing a "cure", despite the fact that this cure would not work because the studied humans did not have any sort of immunity.

Targitaus Rithux it was all part of the floods plan. It’s good to read the novels of the forerunner era. Basically in a nutshell when the pre cursors decided that humanity would obtain the mantel and not the forerunners the forerunners rebelled and nearly wiped all of them out. The ones that survived degraded themselves into a fine powder and waited to reanimate. After many years the powder was corrupted and the flood was born off the back of this. The flood are essentially a mutate version of a pre cursors and the primordial is a mixture of a pre cursor and a grave mind. Now when the flood was attacking humanity they knew the forerunners were also attacking them their goal was to enact revenge on what they did. They choose humanity as the chosen ones. They knew they had to act so they knowingly decided to full back and recede. This gave the humans the impression they found a cure. Then when the humans turned their attention to the forunners they managed to hold them off for only so long as the war with the flood decimated their empire and forces. The humans knowing they were going to lose deleted all data of the flood and a potential cure. The forunners found about the flood towards the end of the war and asked how did humans push back the flood and then 10,000 years later the flood returned and started the flood vs forerunner war for which they lost and activated the halo rings. With this this ensured not all humans would be killed this stopping their extermination . The librarian then saves populations of humans on the arks and halo rings thus keeping humanity safe to the present day. This was all part of the plan from the flood by ensuring humanity thought they found a cure it stopped the forerunners from killing them off. That slim chance they could find the cure. Now the flood knows there is no cure they can play the waiting game. Return later wipe out the forunners and get revenge. . They set a chain of actions in motion to ensure that when they return that they will test humanity as humanity would prosper.

Think about it. What if the UNSC discovered a less technologically advanced sentient race native on resource planet before encountering the covenant? Would humanity be kind to said race? Or world the UNSC just conquer, exploit or eliminate the less advanced species?

There are canon examples of worlds shared by colonies of humans and Covenant species. Venezia is one. Groups of Kig-yar are also known to trade and smuggle whenever they can, including to humans.

I would agree, if there wasn't only like, 2 lines of detail in the entire franchise on it. The only things wer know about ancient Human weaponry is this: 1: The AHE developed weapons technology sometime in the war with the Forerunners that was able to flat out ignore Forerunner defenses like they didn't even exist, allowing them to hold off exponentially-larger Forerunner forces for a lot longer. The Didact says so, the quote being "Humanity, with the assistance of the San Shyuum, were able to develop such offensive technologies that my warrior-servants had no defense against" or something. The other concrete fact is from Warfleet page 14, which mentions that the AHE ship found by ONI in the Yankee site had weapons identified as "fibril cutters" on Forerunner records. Given the definition of fibrillation being an erratic pulse of something, this might have been a type of disruptor weapon or one that uses energy fields to shred apart matter or reorient it. Visually, from the terminals, we knew that the AHE had weapons on (some of) their ships capable of one-shotting Forerunner vessels of equivalent tonnage. They also had various types of energy weapons, with the rifles used by their standard troops firing blue-hued bolts of particles at a ludicrous rate, which seems visually almost exactly like the Cursed mod needle rifle's rate of fire. I mean, look at the amount of spray on these things: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bznq4Zr2gTw.html (the footage of them shooting the AHE troops is in SLOW MOTION, BTW). I guess theis is due to it being designed against the Flood. Such an egregiously-fast fire rate with no overheating or ammo issues whatsoever (which makes me think that the guns had internal power reactors or something)would be very useful against swarms of lightly-armored entities coming from all sides. Against Forerunners the high firerate would be used to simply drill and chip away at the superior Forerunner shields and armor (or to get in more hits, the Prometheans have the ability to seemingly never get hit by the human fire in the video). They also had the technology to easily and quickly glass entire worlds, I mean, they have to in order to try and stop the spread of the Flood. Also, they had what looked liek ballistic (perhaps hardlight ballistic?) weapons, as seen in the underslung gun held by the trooper on the right on 6:33.

That was in 648 BCE, not 4600 years before CE. Also, the Prophets claimed their homeworld was destroyed when its star went supernova. Of course, Prophets lie about a lot of things, so this may or may not have been true.

Well, the Stoics entire belief was that anything Forerunner was sacrosanct and to try and do anything with it was heresy. This mean that they could not study or reverse-engineer Forerunner technology, but it doesn't mean that they could not develop their technology normally, without Forerunner influence. I mean, Reclaimer humans did pretty well on the tech front for a species who never had any Forerunner goodies to analyze for the first few thousand years of technology. They definitely could have gone interstellar by the time the star (supposedly) blew up, just at a slower rate than their covenant cousins.

Most-likely they would be significantly-more augmented biologically and cybernetically. I mean, these guys could live millennia and their troops had to fight toe to toe in CQC with Forerunner warrior-servants (due to the latter liking to board their ships a lot). Forthencho himself was only a bit shorter than the Didact, considering how he talked to him on that hoverbed and stared him down on the warship bridge.

Ancient humans were far more godlier than the Spartan 2's, More bigger, more stronger, more faster, possibly Even used psychics in battle like telekinesis and telepathy, and might be even more, only 20,000 humans were able to hold the biggest army in the galaxy or possibly the universe for constant 53 Years, I can assume they were on primarch level each to do something like that

Spartan 304 It wasn’t 20k soldiers, it was 20k planets. So they weren’t as Uber as you claim, though here’s what IS extremely impressive about the Ancient Human Empire (AHE): By the time that they were fighting the Forerunners, they had already been devastated by the Flood across their empire. The number of worlds that the AHE held (20k) comes from a quote that Forthencho said to Chakas in Primordium, but this was not stated as to whether or not it was referring to the state of the AHE before or after a third of the population and territories volunteered as sacrifices to stand against the Flood to buy time for the other 2/3 to escape from the spread. What’s more, is that this number was only after they lost enough personnel and territory to the Flood to consider it necessary to invade Forerunner space, something which the AHE, knowing that the Forerunners were exponentially superior to them militarily and industrially, would only do as a last resort. At this point, the AHE was crippled by the Flood, and they still had the balls to invoke the wrath of the Ecumene in order to regent the further spread of the Flood. But what’s even MORE impressive is how the AHE managed to hold off against the Forerunners for so long. The Forerunners (specifically the Ur-Didact) did something called “Star Hopping” which meant that they would cut off commas and jam human Slipspace travel to a glacial crawl, as well as being able to predict exactly where the AHE would jump out their fleets. With the flow and pace of the war dictated by the Forerunners, the Didactic could only attack the most-important AHE worlds and bases to cut the fastest way possible to Charum Hakkor to decapitate the AHE while losing minimal troops and resources doing so. Yet the AHE held out against the Forerunners for over 1000 years. The AHE, who at this point were crippled militarily, had inferior technology, exponentially smaller numbers of troops and ships, their surviving reinforcements cut off and separated from forming any cohesive united front, with an enemy who could predict their maneuvers and render their FTL useless, held out for OVER A THOUSAND YEARS. And that was only a small fraction of their remaining power, since the Didact only attacked the worlds when absolutely necessary in order to head to Charum Hakkor fastest. Then, at Charum Hakkor, the AHE forces there held out for 53 years, constantly, with no support or reprieve whatsoever, against the absolute best the Forerunners could send at them. And they would of held on indefinitely if the San Shyuum had not sold them out by telling the Didact the way to infiltrate Charum Hakkor’s invincible Precursor structure. Later in, the Librarian would speculate that the war against the AHE had cost the Forerunners so much that it was a major contribution to them being unable to defeat the Flood 10000 years later. A tiny fraction of the shattered remains of a crippled Humanity exhausted by the Flood and vastly inferior to the Ecumene in almost every field had weakened them to the degree that they were unable to defeat the Flood 10000 years later (it was also the War with the AHE that caused the Builders to amass so much political power in the Ecumene and become arrogant and corrupt, which was also a major reason why the Forerunners lost so bad against the Flood).
