as a german. i agree. theres humor, a lil' rebel-ish attitude, trial & error progression over years (y'all remember the early vids? plywood & co^^) and so much more i would like the world to see, in a lot (not all. ofc) of zhem germans ^^ and because im a 'lil condesending towards bavaria (as a true prussian-born person should be) oktoberfest is a sham, and lederhosen are a lie ! Bonus-Info: Nobody from berlin considers freakin' currywurst as a local specialty! Get a veal Döner (NO chicken. I'm serious. it's an insult to the original version of a Berlin Döner Kebap)
Just yeah I will work with in your studio but I keeping all the rights to my likeness it is actually one of the smartest moves quite a few great musicians did until there later years only because they started their own business and studio it also makes it easier to be free thinking about how you go about shit for engineering or designing stuff
Gotta love that Joerg is a crossbow/slingshot/kinetic weapon fanboy first, engineer second. He gets as giddy as a kid with a toy as soon as he has a functional model; and he designed it! Great design on this one, in all of its configurations. The ease of assembly/disassembly makes this a very practical "backpack" weapon, for both pre and post Zombie Apocalypse use.
I dont think it is much of a weapon, more a fun target shooting piece. The bow part is small, its fast and easy to cock, and the bolts are small. I doubt it has energy to kill anything bigger than a rabbit.
Don't you just love this guy? He's entertaining, ivery technically clever in his own right, informative and very useful for anyone looking to buy a crossbow.
That´s the first mag fed crosbow that actually interests me because, as you said, this is closer to a firearm than any other crosbow of that type that came before. I do hope it´s not going to be painfully expensive.
I been watching you for a long time. Congrats on losing all that weight. You look great. I was an avid archer from a young age and you totally invigorated me down that path again. Both firearms and archery.I am an artist, designer, painter, builder,etc.... You taught me a lot. Doing things in a series and development. I have a very simple product and have done 9 iterations. Sometimes the first iteration is the best, the less complex it is. Your world is so wild and cool. I think everyone wants to drink tall beers with you. I dont even drink beer anymore but would make an exception. Keep going man. You are the best.
I ordered the Adder V3 Extreme Bundle allready, but i will also get this one when its available. Thanks for your awesome inventions and your German Craftsmanship Jörg.
This is the coolest crossbow I've ever seen. This is some important history we're seeing here. I want more crossbows like this to be in shooter games. And let's hope we can see some amazing advanced crossbow variety someday, just like firearms.
If I may, red dots are actually mounted farther forward toward the middle of your rail. Since they are made to shoot with both eyes open, having that field of vision around the optic is what makes them great. A red dot with a magnifier would be sick on this crossbow.
was about to comment this. if you are using them correctly the casing of the optic won’t impede your vision at all. on my ars i mount them as far forward on the upper receiver as possible.
I've watched for years and it feels so good to see this in your hands!! Great job!!! This will end up selling millions world wide!!! Wait until the north American market sees this thing!
When i deployed and the shiny would come through on burnished metal, we would just rub a bit of boot polish and some grime. works like a champ to subdue the shiny!
@arsenelupiniii8040 when black anodized hardware is already readily available, there's no reason it can't come that way already. And i'm not planning on crawling mine through mud under some barbed wire or w/e it is you did
@@victorlowe I am the most practical, irish white nigga ever . I just have so many irons in the fire. Good fuckin christ! My ex used to tell me relax , while i was holdin up the entire world! You ever felt like that Hmmmmm?
Guten abend Joerg! Its wonderful to see you put the knowledge you have gained from years of reviewing crossbows and other similar products, and then putting all of that into your own product. I think I can speak for everyone when I saw how immensely proud your viewers are.
hello Jorge u should tell the manufacturer to design a two-fire trigger, which means that the trigger has two positions. After pressing it, it is fired first, and then pressing the trigger to the end is to release the lever, so that the firing speed will be higher and the safety will not be affected.
More complexity means more testing, higher cost, and more delays. This is a reliable, off-the-shelf build that has a bunch of potential for aftermarket support. 100%, later designs can have extra features for extra cost, maybe a "custom" shop for people who want a more "tactical" look and don't have or want to darken their screws themselves (😂).
Sieht echt cool aus! Glückwunsch schon mal Jörg und Fa. Mey.
Jorge, ABSOLUTELY AMAZING IDEAS just flowing from that creative brain of yours! I couldn't imagine the time and energy you gave to the interceptor to finally bring it to real life!!!!! let me thank you for ALL the just absolutely awesome vids you've given to us over these years!!!!! From one George to another...........WELL DONE BROTHER!!!!!!!!
This really looks like something Hawkeye from the Marvel movies should have equipped. Just imagine the sales boost if you`d get this featured in a movie!
May a suggest something? The thumb release for the cocking system should placed on the side (As a stirrup) so it can be pressed while gripping the crossbow without going over.
You could also just place your thumb on top of the release, if you know that you will be shooting more than once. It's probably another part of training with the thing. I agree though, having the release on the side where the thumb is, so it's easier to reach, would've been a wiser decision.
Got to hand it to ya, been watching forever and its great to see that from the first few videos of wood made products to many years later, your still on the path and getting closer to your "dream". I plan to pick one up when available.
7:30 That bolt that holds the front part in place before you take out the bow limbs. I hope that’s not the final version, it needs to be much shorter & if possible make it like an AR where the pins pull out but not all the way so you can’t lose them..
Schade.
Love it Jorge! Had you considered putting the cocking release on the front grip so you can keep your (rear) firing hand in the same grip position, allowing more consistent trigger pull accuracy between shots, and as a bonus, more speed between shots?
From the first prototype made from wood to this. What an awesome journey. You are a shining beacon of what can be achieved with knowledge, passion, and determination.
Absolutely. Can’t drop a deer with the current one, way too weak. Hits with less force than a 40lb long bow. The Gatling looks like it’ll have the power, but it’s pcp. Whole different ballgame. @@jonnes__4657
Would it perhaps be possible to place the lever or button that you have to press to draw the bow where your thumb is when shooting? So that you don't always have to reach around to draw the bow?
Absolutely beautiful! Looks so incredible cool. With this incredible design I can already imagine the gold standard of all crossbows ever: The magazin fed, maybe bottom fed, straight pump action crossbow. I hope I can experience this in my lifetime.
FYI, if it’s not a perfect dot…..take a picture either your phone through the optic….of it’s better you have a stigmatism. But holographic and prism sights won’t affect your stigmatism.
I absolutely love your infectious enthusiasm and love for this craft! Also, I just want to note that you never want to mount a red dot on a moving part. Besides that, everything was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!
I'm no Jorge, but from the size and tension length I'm estimating ~10kg of draw force (so, around 75J of energy, because energy transfer is never perfect, so I'm estimating 25% loss), and bolts weigh a scant under 10g according to the manufacturer, so it can't exceed 122m/s or 400 fps. Realistically, I'd say it's under 200 fps.
Things I'd like to see in the next video on this: (Ahem...) :) 1. Bolt average weight. 2. Velocity testing of bolt using the most powerful set-up. 3. Speed testing with re-cocking. (It looks like one shot every three to four seconds or so right now? That was casual though... What can you really do?) 4. A realistic assessment of how hard it is to reset. It's still not hard to do, for a giant powerlifter Hahaha! What about a normal person? Or even a fairly fit, but not huge one? So far it's impressive, I admit. Thanks!
Looks great. I've been very eagerly waiting for this. I'll order in the UK as soon as I can. I did notice though that as soon as you started firing it, you immediately went back to moving your hand off the trigger every time to cock it, just like on the other crossbows. Just a habit? Is the thumb button difficult to reach?
At 4:301 you stated that you should always mount a red dot as far back as possible. This not true, with any 1X red dot you always shoot with both eyes open so you have a wider field of view. With the dot mounted out away from your eye, it makes it much easier to shoot at moving targets, much like a skeet or trap shotgun.
Sweet toy , not more for me.😉🤗
Awesome weapon innovator imagine if you had made this ages thousands of years of ago you would’ve been a weapon genius marvel war general so props to your creative nature and brilliant mind!
That is. REALLY. COOL. I want one bad, now. Thanks for the video Joerg! Hope everything is going great for you, and that it continues to be so in future.
I have to say that I like the range of options in this product. The fact that you can switch out to a limb with 120 pounds of force is VERY nice! I had a Barnet wildcat 150 lbs crossbow, and it was a beast to try and cock; that this only has 30 lbs less of force and can be cocked and recocked so easily is a definite plus!
Amazing !!! Thx Jorge for bringing so much creativity to blades and crossbows world ! Funny part is I bought the ar-6 stinger 2 like a month ago ! If I knew I would have probably wait to buy this one ! I guess I can start putting money aside for this new awesome weapon !
This is a cool piece of work and engineering. I imagine you could also do a pump style cocking magazine where the magazine is part of the pump. Make it cock on the pump and feed the bolt at the near tge same time or on start of the return. You could even give them rounded bottom mags with grip grooves. Then you dont have to lose line of sight while loading a bolt and cocking.
With all due respect to the Germans, I consider him the real-life Stark, Mr. Joerg, he brought innovations to crossbows never seen before, without a doubt, as already highlighted here, it is the most sensational, without flattery, but with sincere praise for a master of weapons, I believe we will see even more advancement in them. but this is the apple of the eye of industrial archery.
The Interceptor looks EPIC! I absolutely LOVE that break-barrel cocking mechanism too. Unfortunately, I'd imagine something like this would be very expensive, so idk if I could ever realistically own one, but if I ever can, you better believe I WILL lol.
