Yikes! Sounds awful! Looking forward to your update. I'm shocked that my RSR has lasted 145,000 miles! Yes, it slips from time to time, but I had no troubles pulling my cargo trailer to Orlando recently. The car's been great.... until it's not. You just never know. HAHA! Take Care!

Clutch still holds great & most likely isn’t the issue (but we’ll see). The more I think about it the more I wanna say it’s the TOB, but I’ve been wrong before! Definitely had a good run either way, my Cummins ripped all the pucks off a ceramic clutch at about 70k which was pretty spectacular & resulted in 5 neutrals 😂

I have this issue. Ive dealt with extended cranks, my injectors failed. But it has to be fueling related if it’s not injectors. Be careful, extended cranks, they can flood the engine if the car consistently stalls. Also check the pcv.

PCV is fairly new, I’ve got a video on that. It’s really intermittent with the extended crank (only when hot, only happened 3x over a few months).

My dkm stage 2 clutch’s throwout bearing went within the first 6k miles :( switched back to an oem one and it was good after that tho - 12’cc

I build my own line of race quality components for this platform, so it has my full TBE & FMIC, is38 & a nice OEM+ suspension & brake set up (US spec CSS clone, but spicy) It’s basically a dual duty daily/track car I’ve owned since new (December 2015).

I found when I used the smoke vault on steaks it turned it like jerky how long would you run it in there for at that temp ?

Normally get it hotter to get the smoke rolling, then back it off. About a hour total cool time then let them rest a bit & they come out good. I normally do Ribeye for best results, something leaner will dry up easier so you gotta be quicker. I’ve also seared them first & just smoked for flavor, which works great (just a extra skillet to wash)

Eh, probably neither haha. Good timing right before busy season & I’m glad to finally dive into my LSD installation. Hopefully the clutch is fine & it’s just the TOB coming apart!

Since it's making that noise when you push in the clutch, and it's otherwise driveable, I would bet that it's the throwout bearing.

Got any plans for fueling issue? Maybe see if someone wants swap their oem hpfp just for trial & error. I have spare oem hpfp cause I upgraded to hpa

It’s so intermittent I’d probably need it for a few weeks so I’ll probably just replace it as preventative maintenance (car has 131k on it, it had a good run)

It’s actually the LPFP I’m suspicious of, the car data logs fine and pulls hard w/o issues which wouldn’t be the case if the HPFP was weak. I believe it has a check valve internally which could be the issue. Unfortunately HPFP (or a upgraded LPFP) being APR tuned I’d be stuck switching to another tuner which I don’t want do.
