We already have the Holy Spirit in us. We have received anointing from Jesus’ death. This is an addition to the gospel. Jesus wants us to depend on His spirit alone.
People may have the Holy Ghost in the but they don’t operate through His power to do the Might Works we’re supposed to be doing in the name of Jesus.. She is just reaffirming the anointing and power of God on and in her life.
I think your coming from a good place. This is feeling a little new agey to me… personally I believe that We don’t need oil because we have the Holy Spirit. We have to be careful that we don’t start idolizing things and putting faith in things that aren’t God. What’s the difference between putting on crystals? If any of you have a different perspective please kindly reply.
Anointing oil was used all over the Bible. In ancient Israel, the king would be anointed with oil or perfume. Oil isn’t against God, and Ashley isn’t telling us to put our trust in the oil, but rather to realize the authority that we have in Christ.
@@SL-rn8lgI believe the real problem is not the anointing itself, but the fact that she is anointing herself. Nowhere in the Bible is there a circumstance where it is said to be okay to anoint yourself. There are many circumstances where someone is anointed by another person though.
Ashley, I can tell more & more you’re being led & guided of the Holy Spirit and it’s making you BOLD. I loooove to see it. You have an audience of one. ☝️
I feel like this is crossing the line into new age. No where in Scripture do we see people anointing themselves with oil declaring all these things. While we do have the power of the Holy Spirit in us as born again believers, we are not promised anywhere in Scripture that we can be immune to the problems in this world. We still live in a fallen world and the consequences of the fall are all around us. Yes, God ultimately saves us from eternity in hell when we trust Him and of course we can go to Him in prayer during sickness and hard times. Yes, He still heals and works miracles. But to rub oil on yourself while reciting a chant sounds more like faith in the oil and words rather than faith in Christ.
That was my first thought We don't have the power to raise the dead. God gave that power to the disciples during a certain time...I don't know everything about the bible but I'm 3 years into a Baptist Bible college and I have not heard of this....like affirmations . I get it..but be careful . Jesus anoint this body to do that...
@@TheBradfordsI don’t think any miracle is inaccessible to anyone, the disciples were able to because God worked through them, and in the same way He works through people today, including miracles like raising the dead 🫡 God can do anything through anyone, I’m not sure if you mean that we can’t physically do it alone (I agree, we can only do it with God) but if you mean that only the disciples could raise people from the dead then I disagree because neither God nor His power have changed since those times !!! But right, we have to be so careful nowadays, affirmations especially
I would be very careful as a Christian to equate holiness with the gifts of the Spirit as opposed to the fruit of the Spirit. It’s terrifying to read that, on the last day, many who would have performed miracles in the Lord’s Name will be rejected by Him, including those who prophesied in His Name and cast out demons in His Name (Matthew 7:22-23). Our eyes as Christians are fixed solely on conformity to Christ and obedience to His commandments. The gifts of the Spirit are beautiful and are given by Him as He wills for the edification of the Church, but Scripture is clear that the fruit of the Spirit far outweigh His gifts (1 Corinthians 13). Have we purged out the world and everything in the world out of our hearts yet? Have we uprooted from our hearts entirely the love of the world which, according to Scripture, is enmity with God? Have we completely surrendered our will at the Lord’s feet yet? Have we set aside all worldly glory and adornment and occupied our hearts solely with cultivating our inner garden yet? Have we yet acquired the gentle and quiet spirit St. Peter talks about? Have we fervently loved our enemies yet? Are we striving to always take the last seat? Have we fully died to ourselves and to the world or are there still any worldly or materialistic desires in our hearts? Where are we standing if we take the sermon on the mount as a standard? Let us honestly evaluate that before talking about anything supernatural. Acquiring the perfect image of Christ our Lord, God, and Savior is more miraculous and supernatural than anything deemed supernatural.
Hold on, the oil is not supposed to be over the head? I don’t remember reading in my Bible people using oil in the chest, for example, when David fasted for his baby with Bathsheba and he passed away, like in any other fasting, David washed and put oil ON HIS HEAD not in chest. Also I don’t making a cross in our bodies will ‘empower’ us more in God. Doing it is like taking the cross as a lucky object. What truly matters is the faith and obedience in our daily lives.
But remember, that doesn’t make the Cross invalid. As an Orthodox Christian, our faith boldly believes in the power of the Cross for through it, Christ redeemed mankind by shedding His pure blood upon it.
This is unbiblical because it shows you don’t understand what happened at the cross. Jesus already died for your sins and all the curses. The devil no longer has power over you. No need for extra rituals. Just pray and thank him for all that He has ALREADY accomplished and go on with your day. You don’t need to “re-do” or re-anoint yourself or whatever 🤦🏻♀️. You will just be oily and that’s it 😅 Jesus is looking at you saying “really? So my death at the cross was not enough so you need some extra oil? 🤨” Please everyone, accept the death of Jesus was enough to save us, that’s the good news, no need to get oily. 😅
The Devil absolutely still has power until the day of Jesus Christ's return, we just now have the authority to fight back. 1 Peter 5:8 Ephesians 6:11-12 James 4:7 Revelation 12:12 Revelation 20:10
Although I do not agree with the video, there is a verse in James that says we should anoint the sick with oil - and the prayer of faith shall save him.
okay, I see that this is causing some disagreements. I'm here to try to explain my view on this, based on the Bible and the wisdom He gave me. regarding the anointing oil she used, it is something biblical, as we can see in a lot of passages like in Marcus 6 or in Exodus 30 for example. when the oil is pure, if it's consecrated to God by prayer, it doesn't have power over someone, but it can be used to kinda seal prayer requests because it's kinda like a representation of the blood of Jesus. Talking about what she said, I genuinely believe that God gave us power and authority to do anything through Christ if it is to bring glory to the kingdom and serve Him and the others with love. Of course, nothing we pray for is going to happen if it doesn't align with His will. But certainly we have that power, not to bring glory and honor to ourselves but to Jesus Christ. Actually, in Matthew 10:8 Jesus said "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give", which is basically what Ashley said in her prayer. And just to add something more, besides the authority God gave us, he said in Matthew 17:20 "Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you", meaning that by faith we have the power through Christ to do anything.
Well, some people are also questioning the position she chose to put the oil in, cause in the bible the oil is usually used in the head not in the chest (and doing the cross there looks like a ritual thing that God never commanded). Also i believe that ofc she is free to use annointed oil and it has power, but theres no actual need of it,because we are living after Jesus ressurected. So my point is we already have the holy spirit to operate in us (with or without annointed oils) so this looks kinda religious to me,but thats just how i see it
@@dudahv.i understand your perspective and you're right, she doesn't need the oil. one of the functions of the anointing oil is used to intensify prayer requests, but you can totally say this prayer without it. the way to apply can be different depending on the purpose behind it. but I get it, this can be very confusing and I respect your view 😊
Hello. God bless you. This prayer “morning ritual” is a bit confusing. Please look for spiritual guidance by someone with experience and that is knowledgeable in the word of God. My past experience can relate this and the shoe picture with witchcraft. I pray that God gives you the wisdom you need in this time and continue to use you for his kingdom 🙏💕
@@marilynclaudio2490Anyone who has discerment can see it’s bibicical. You might still have doubts from past experience but it is in the Bible. All of the prophets of God were annointed. And we can annoint ourselves because its a sign of God’s power in us
Hi , i use to believe in the word Faith movement but we are only creatures and by Gods grace through our Lord Jesus Christ we become his children. Yet its the Lord Jesus who reigns and does as he wills. We cannot declare only God declares and its done. May the grace of God help everyone
Your passion for the Lord is truly beautiful! I am inspired by how the Lord has worked in your life. Regarding the use of oil and declarations, while I believe there's nothing wrong with applying oil, I think the potential issue arises when one starts attributing supernatural power to the oil or certain words. In my view, the blood of Christ is completely sufficient. Every believer shares in the anointing of Christ, and while surrender to His calling may vary, I don't believe there are different levels of anointing among believers. Ultimately, the blood of the Lamb is truly sufficient!
I'll Gove you bible for what antiong oil is : Exodus 30: 22-25 the Lord said to Moses, Take the finest of spices:of liquid myrrh 500 shekels and of sweet smelling cinnamon half as much, that is 250, and 250 of aromatic cane and 500 of cassia acorrding to the shekel of the sanctuary and a hint of olive oil.and you shall make this a sacred anointing oil blended as the perfumer ot shall be a holly anointing oil.
Is Anointing oil witchcraft or bad to do? Anointing oil isn’t witchcraft, Jesus and His disciples and followers did in fact anoint people. Please read Bible verses- 1 Samual 10:1, Exodus 25:6-7, Exodus 31:11, Exodus 35:8, Exodus 34:28, Job 29:6, Leviticus 8:12, and Mark 6:13. --------- (This next bit doesn’t have that much to do with this video but I want to clear this up.) And for those confused about Ashley saying “In Jesus’ Name”, there is nothing wrong with saying “In Jesus Name”. It says many times in the Bible how the demons flee when they hear the name of Jesus. So Christians will say it when they feel demonic spirits around them, and when street preachers and pastors and Christians with strong faith rebuke demons out of someone they have a hand on there shoulder or head typically and say “Fire in Jesus’ Name!” And the person will be set free. And when Ashley uses it she sometimes means it as declaring it. It’s ok to do that as well, like saying when you have the flu for example “I will be healed in Jesus’ Name!”. In John 13-14 and John 15:16 as well as John 16:23-24 (and many more verses) it talks about praying and declaring in Jesus’ name :) As a person who grew up in family that’s full on for Jesus and has studied the Bible I believe it’s ok to say it, as long as you’re not cursing it. Some people will cuss and use it in a different manner, which is wrong to do. I hope this helps, if any of you have something to kindly add or ask feel free to do so! Have a great day, Jesus loves you!
Anointing oil was used in the Old testament, its not necessary today. We have His Holy Spirit. Earthy objects do not bring sanctification, only Jesus Christ. Just pray, it's enough.
@@melissaleonard1168 "Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord." James was referring to SPIRITUAL sickness, and the annointing of the oil is the blood of Jesus Christ that brings back life and strenght to those who are spiritually weak or loosing faith. It is not referring to literal oil
It is not your body that does those things. And we don't operate in the full power of God, His power operates in us. You should first focus on growing in the knowledge of God and scripture before trying to "become " something. Let the Lord Himself develop you and annoint uou for what He has purposed for you. These little ego and flesh driven inventions are nothing but attempts of witchcraft using the Lord's name. When you have grown enough in Him and are sure of who you are, your very presence and words affect the purpose of God in a given place and time. Trust His hands to make you and just rest in being nobody but his beloved daughter.
Okay. Did you show that snazzy lip product in the beginning to get the attention of the younger people you minister too? Lol ❤ you girl! Your hair is glorious. Yes glorious. 😝
I don’t think she’s saying this is a requirement to operate in the power of the Holy Spirit. But its a declaration to herself that she is stepping into her day with the mindset of doing the work of God. 🙌🏻
what do you mean operate in the full power of God??? i’m kinda confused bc we aren’t God and if we operated in the full power of God wouldn’t that make us a God or equal to him??
I can understand how this can be a little off putting. But we need to truly understand when we truly hear discernment from the Holy Spirit. And Not base a conclusion from our fleshly emotions especially if something doesn’t seem normal for you to do. Take heed to the Word of the Lord, Read the Book of Acts. Acts 1:8 says, “ But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witness in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” We are called to Follow Jesus. The Spirit of God (Holy Spirit) lives within us. Read Romans 8:8-11 it goes more in depth. When we are reborn again and baptized in the name of the father and the son and the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:9-10 “You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to Him. But if Christ is in you… the Spirit is life because of righteousness.” I encourage you all to also read Mark 16:16-18 “And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned. These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages. They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed.”” John 14:13-14 says “ Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.” Colossians 3:17 “ And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” So you see the Lord makes it’s loud and clear that we receive power when the Holy Spirit has come into us. Which we receive the Holy Spirit when we become saved and reborn again. As it says in Acts 2:38. Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Galatians 2:20 also says “I am crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself up for me.” Again the Lord calls us to have a yielded submitted heart to him and he reminds us that if you believe as it states clearing in Mark 16:16-18 through the Power of the Holy Spirit and everything you ask for in Jesus name he will do it. Why? Because it’s for his Name to be Glorified and Exalted not ours. We are nothing more than servants of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. I don’t and won’t allow my fleshy emotions to stop me from doing the work of The Great Commission not for me but for the Glory of our Father that his name with reign forever and ever. So please I pray you take it back to the Lord and pray that he gives you the spiritual eyes and ears to hear his instructions clearly so you don’t miss out on the opportunity to be apart of his great commission to preach the good news and to save souls. Jesus truly wants you to walk in Faith and believe that his name holds power and everything that you do for him, is solely for him and his glory. let’s endure and run the race believing in our Heavenly Father’s merciful and unfailing love and grace. ✨
I think it basically means to do all things in God's power, not our own. We often DO things that God commands, but not IN God (In His grace and power so that none may be prideful), and we often neglect WHY we do things, even as small as our daily living. In this case she says it because she was wanting to bring God glory by what she was saying, not glory to herself. Hope this helps, let me know if anything needs clarification or wasn't worded well❤️❤️✝️

For those with questions about why she is doing this, go open your Bible and read Mark 16. You will read were Jesus commands us believers to do these things! It’s the signs that will follow those who are filled with the Holy Spirit!! ❤️🕊️ Thank you Jesus!
The WOF movement can become a trap for Christians, where they feel as if God has abandoned them or that they don’t have enough faith if they can’t heal themselves or another. Sometimes in God’s sovereignty, some people do not ever heal, it is not in God’s will. That is okay, God is with us, he has broken the final curse of sin and death, and for those who believe in Him we have salvation. What could be better? Mark 16:17,18- These signs were promised to the apostolic community (Matt. 10:1; 2 Cor. 12:12) not all believers in all ages (1 Cor. 29,30). All (with the exception of drinking poison) were experienced by some in the apostolic church and reported in Scripture (e.g Acts 28:5), but were not mentioned after vs. 20. God be with you 🤍
There is a big difference between Pharisees (which followed the law to earn salvation, but also lived hypocritical lives) and people who adhere to the Word of God and don't operate outside or beyond Scripture.
Thank you Ashley for this. Yes Ashley should have ended it in the name of Jesus for ●it's not by our might or power but it's by the strength of the Heavenly Father we shall do these things●. Now to all those saying that "we cannot do them works Ashely listed because only Jesus can do it" let me ask you this, what spirit was in Jesus? The same spirit that was in Jesus empowering Him to do powerful works and resurrected Him from the dead is THE HOLY SPIRIT!!!! and guess what ●WE HAVE THAT SAME SPIRIT(if you gave your life to Him) ●Mat 10:8● DO NOT PUT RESTRICTIONS ON GOD, doing that renders u unworthy to be used by Him, ●He uses those with faith, obedience and willingness● ●without faith, itz IMPOSSIBLE to please God, He desires those who know that He exists ●and ●believe that NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE with Him● in the picture.Do not self-sabotage yourself with the whole "we can't do this, this and that" again,● we can do ALL things through Jesus, who strengthens us!!● As long as itz in the will of God for your life.
Please READ YOUR BIBLE, a simple search on what the first Christians did in Acts, who barely knew Jesus when He was alive in the flesh, shows that we can be powerful THROUGH GOD!! May God bless you and have a wonderful dayy :))
This was a command Jesus gave to his apostles at that time. I believe that if the Lord wants to give us this authority and ability he will. What she is doing is like saying to God, "I am not going to trust in you and instead I will rub this olive oil on me and I will be able to do these things." This is showing God that you do not care what his way is not do you want his perfect plan. This is you trying to take control. Just trust in the Lord!!!! I never thought I would be disagreeing with Ashley, but here we are.
Genuine question! I got saved from new age, and i would like some insight from yall how this is different from smudging. I feel like this is almost saying Jesus isn't enough. Genuine question ❤❤
14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. James 5 : 14-15 . THE OIL ITSELF HAS NO POWER SO WE MUST NOT HYPE SUCH THINGS . ULTIMATELY ITS THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT WHO IS IN US AND HELPS US AND HEALS US.
Young people and those new in the faith: Test the spirits to see whether they are from God- 1 John 4. Don’t blindly do what Christian influencers say to do. If you are Saved and accepted Jesus the same Spirit lives in you and will guide you. You don’t have to do 40 things or whatever to be “that Christian girl “ Do what you feel God is speaking to you to do. Test the spirits.

Hi Ashley! I have a question about something. I really like this band, but I’m not sure if I can listen to them just because they are secular. All of the songs are clean I’m pretty sure, and I only try to listen to the ones that have a happy or upbeat kinda tune, and nothing weird like “oh I’m gonna kill you, I’m gonna this… blah blah” and the all negative stuff you MIGHT (not always ig?) find in rap music. (For ex) I don’t want it to negatively affect my relationship with God, but is it doing harm? Or should I stop listening to them?
Hey! Are you trying to anoint yourself so that you can have the power that God has or is it a reminder of what Jesus did. Because I believe as a Christian too that humans can not raise the dead nor have the ability’s that God has, do you mind expanding on that for me?😁
I’m really confused why everyone is so annoyed with her anointing herself. Did Samuel not annoy David as the king with oil?? did the sinner not clean Jesus feet with oil? This isn’t any ordinary oil it’s not canola oil or olive oil.. that has been prayed upon. some of you need to do research. I am Orthodox and for baptism we do anointment for baptism and in general have oil that’s been prayed upon and put it on our bodies on the areas Jesus was nailed to the cross (along with the forehead because of the crown of thorns)
You need to be VERY cautious when you're representing God to people. If it isn't in the scriptures, don't invent a ritual.
