It's hard to think where Black music would be without Andre Harrell. As the founder of Uptown Records, he launched the careers of former intern Sean “Puffy” Combs-signed Mary J. Blige, Jodeci, and Heavy D-and birthed the sub-genres, New Jack Swing and Hip Hop Soul. These days as Vice Chairman of Revolt TV, Harrell is curating the upcoming third annual Revolt Music Conference. Thankfully, Mr. Champagne & Bubbles took some time to talk past, present and future. I can't begin to tell you the history of Dre aka Andre Harell because IT IS pre Enjoy Records. It is local tv days it is him discovering MY FIRST KISS AND RUN boyfriend Ronnie Greene of capt rock . It is before Uptown records he called me video girl. Alonzo Brown and he the original Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. Kurt Woodley and I was just talking about the Bet series on Uptown Records..I immediately sent Artie Cordel to audition.Heavy D is known thanks to Dre shout out to Jeff Redd...Mr Motown who rushed ms jones to finish her album so me and Gina Vegas song could be on there produced by Barry Bee and another song with a Stephanie Mills sample by Zhane my cousin Eric and I...but then Motown did the switch..Roxanne Davis getting on the Heavy D CD cover...we were so proud...the lives he touched... father mc, arts and craft, guy, boy groups..puffy..Jodeci Al b sure..Christopher williams , Sequence and finesse, Groove B chill, the Girls, Mary J bilge...RiP... gone but a legacy lives on www.celebrityshowcasetv.comShow less

I think that's the tone they set.Its a more serious in depth interview.No sensationalism.

Donn Jones and that what i like about it. don't have to be ghetto to do an interview. plus you can understand what everyone is saying. there no need to talk loud to talk over someone.
