Portland Wrestling legend Sandy Barr informs the fans at this Jan 31st, 1993 Championship Wrestling USA event that legendary wrestling superstar Andre the Giant has died.
HELLO!!! I want to spend time with celebrities. Just kidding. GAGAGAGAGA! I only want to spend time with my two girlfriends and record videos for RU-vid with the 3 of us. OH YEAH. Don't hate me for living the best life, dear rai
speaking of this with experience, I can't help it either. I don't blame that guy because I could be that guy too. So why would somebody have a problem with someone who sneezed anyway?
Typical liberal fucking democrat. Has nothing to do with race yet your the first to bring it up. This video had nothing to do with that you peice of shit. Your a disgust and people like your are ruining this country! People like me are fighting your disgusting spread of lies. I'll be the one to get the hate but YOU brought up race in a place where there was no need. We're fighting you! TRUMP 2016! Brexit 2016! Nationalism and patriotism wins bitches!!!!!
And he was listing names like "one of these people I'm about to say is dead. It could be A) Hulk Hogan. B) Andre the Giant. C. . . Very weird announcement
Little did we know that over the course of seven grueling bells, a man in the crowd was warring with the world's fiercest sneeze. Though ultimately and soundly beaten he was, all here bear witness to his legacy
I was at a Madison Square Garden event when they announced that Andre passed the night before. Everyone simultaneously gasped. Most of us cried during the 10 bell ring ceremony. RIP to a special person who entertained the world unselfishly and lovingly.
I was at that event, the Knicks lost to the Hawks and they didn't mention Andre the Giant dying. I still have my ticket stubs from the game. But I do remember hearing somebody on the subway talk about it on the way back home because it had just happened.
@@its.arjun.s ya I must have missed the 10 bell ceremony where most people cried but they wiped the tears and vowed never to speak about it again before I come back from the bathroom….yup that happened lol 😜
I could only imagine the pain Andre's family went through during that time. Going through the death of his father only for him to pass on some time after the funeral. Honestly, as much as I know that death can happen at the snap of a finer, but that's the kind of thing no family should ever go through. R.I.P. to Andre & his father.
Actually his family didn't even know that he had died until a month after when they got a letter from his lawyer stating that his daughter would get the bulk of his fortune. She was only 13 at the time, and had only met him 5 times because he was on the road so often.
@@charlieg3819Yes. He passed away in his hotel room. Apparently of a heart attack. He said when he passed that he wanted to be cremated. The cremation facility in France wasn't big enough so his friends had his body flown back to the USA for cremation and his ashes were spread on his farm in North Carolina. For whatever reason I don't believe this at all. OR I just don't want to believe it. There are many well known people who went into protective custody and I feel he may very well be one of them.
In my opinion in wwe it doesn't matter if your 7 feet or 8 feet Andre would always be the true giant in wwe because most of the other giant wrestling didn't interest me just andre the giant and doesn't matter how tall you are your never going to replace andre
Rare and random video to pop up here on RU-vid. Thank you for the unexpected upload. (Unfortunately, not the best crowd at the time for an announcement like that.)
That would be funny but it would also be shocking at the same time because we all know when we hear that first bell everyone starts getting excited because taker is coming out so there’s no way they would hear one person sneeze
Imagine if Andre was still here the impact he'd have behind the scene. Wrestling lost a true legend. Forever in our memories Andre R.I.P many Respect's.
Because this person just like everyone else on the comments where they can only talk about the sneeze and how memorable it will be when our generation is just as bad as this disrespectful generation in this video people should be ashamed of them self’s ten ring bells means shut the fuck up and show some god dam respect
@@patatoes6865 even as a medical student I learned something about sneeze if you control your sneeze and you didn't closed your eyes eyes would come out and if you stopped sneeze you will not breath so don't give him answer they are stupid sorry for bad English
Andre The Giant, The biggest Star In WWE ever! As a Norwegian, we didn`t have lots of TV channels those days.(1983-90) But I moved to Oslo in august 1985 and Sky Channel was available. So for me, those years when I study music in Oslo 1985-89, my free time was to watch WWE and Pat Sharp on Sky Channel..what a time:)
@@harrisali9729 guess that was in singles competition, i guess cause he was defeated a bunch of times when he was wearing that mask with those other two dudes, they were a tag team when he was the giant machine, but rip to a person so big my 4 year old knows who he is
Saw Andre' as "The Giant machine" at MSG August 25, 1986. He arrived to the building in a yellow taxi, I was there with my Mom and siblings and we all saw him so uncomfortable in that car. He was smiling at all the fans that were there waiting for the wrestlers to arrive.
That was tough. I was at a WWF House Show that week in Providence, RI. When they announced that he had passed away the feeling was bonechilling. The hush over the Providence Civic Center was unforgetable.
At Wrestlemania 3, the torch was not passed, but rather Andre solidified himself as the greatest in ring performer of all time. No disrespect to Hogan.
He might of died he might of been the greatest wrestler but whatever anyone says he will forever be remembered to WWE and humanity 😔😔😞 forever gone but never forgotten
Although the giant among men have fallen, the legend of Andre has risen, and so forth it will be known that the giant of WWE lives on in our minds, hearts, and wants. Live on Andre the Giant!
I saw Andre wrestle several times and he may not have been quite 7'4" tall, but he was the largest human I've ever seen (in person, anyway). But even Andre would have laughed at that sneeze. RIP Boss.
